Kathleena has a gifted eye for highlighting natural beauty; I never felt like my hair or makeup was hiding the real me.While preparing for my wedding, I had a few cuts and one deep conditioning with Kathleena. For my fellow introverts, you'll be happy know that Kathleena is largely silent while cutting/styling hair, as she gets into a "zone" and is fully focused on her work. While she's a delight to talk to geneally, I am grateful for a quieter hair-cutting experience -- as a highly sensitive person, I've often felt overstimulated by past salon experiencesm which tended to include lots of music and talking (sadly often in the form of gossiping or complaining). I have been going to her for hair cuts/color/styling for several years now, and I love her so much I hired for her my wedding to do my hair and make-up, my mom's, my mother in law, and all 8 of my bridesmaids. She did a hair and make-up trial for both me and my mom prior to the wedding and she made it such a fun day - she's SO easy to five feedback to and has such a talent for making your vision come true, she really listens to what you want and what you care about. “Tamra did makeup for my headshots, which were long overdue. I was very nervous going into it since I do not wear alot of makeup and I am generally camera shy. She asked for inspo images on what look I wanted to achieve and she nailed it on the day of. When I got home after the photoshoot, my partner's jaw dropped to the floor and I just recently got a glimpse of the unedited images from the shoot and my partner didn't even know it was me when I showed him the images! It is a bit difficult to find someone who has experience in working with different skin tones so I am so happy I found Tamra. I personally like that she has an artistic eye and will suggest what haircut or haircolor looks better on you upon request. Her tasteful choice of music playing in the background adds to the general ambiance. Her salon is conveniently located in the vibrant Mission street neighborhood and is easily accessible by BART (get off at Mission/ 16th and walk for 10 min). I have long thick, but fine hair and I color it medium brown. The haircuts I get with Ana are easy to maintain and does not require a lot of styling. I wash it and blow dry and it looks gret. I don't live in San Francisco, but continue to make time to return to Heartzilla, because Ana truly is a rare find!“

Although she used to be located 2 blocks from me, the distance won't stop me from using her for all of my hair care needs! It's hard to find a hair stylist that you trust. She dyes my roots every 7 weeks and cuts my hair every 14 weeks. She knows exactly what I like and I always leave extremely satisfied. She's also done eyelash extensions for me that last for a long time, and the experience was very peaceful and relaxing compared to other places.
