This salon has over 2000 colors to choose from, and back ups for the popular ones. They are skilled at literally every technique and look. Anywhere from chrome and cats eye, to spiderweb gel. They were so gracious as I changed my mind over and over because I just couldn't choose!
Side but noteworthy story, I lost my wallet the day we went to the salon but, didn't realize until much later in the day. I called 711 where I went prior and they said It wasn't there. We checked everywhere and no bueno. When Van from A1 Salon got back to me she had checked all over the salon and even outside but no go. So she and Kevin insisted on going to 711 for me. Well.... IT WAS THERE!!! ( I won't speak about the integrity of the 711 staff but I think we all know what happened there )
I'm sooo moved that they would go so far out of thier way to help me when most people would never go above and beyond for a customer / stranger like this!
Unfortunately, covid was really hard on this small family business and they were forced to relocate and basically start over. It's been tough times for them as they try to stay afloat and establish themselves in a new location.
Also.... they have tiny dogs that you get to snuggle as you get pampered.... Whats better then that???

She carefully assessed my hair and performed a test strand to ensure we could achieve the desired color using a no-bleach technique, given my history of box dye 7 months ago and a hair Botox 3 weeks ago. Her emphasis on healthy, long-lasting color was evident, and after the test, she confidently proceeded with the process. The result was stunning—my hair, which hadn’t been touched in 7 months, looks vibrant and healthy without any bleach. I’m absolutely in love with the color and the no-bleach technique. I recently walked into this shop during a Halloween event and everyone was so friendly I decided to come back for a tattoo later that day. Jay did a tattoo that my 4 year old drew for me, he did it perfectly. He let her watch him tattoo it for a few seconds then we showed her at the end, he even caught a picture of her face for me! Over 40 years ago, I had Paul Jeffries of the “original” Smilin’ Buddha, ‘fix’ a tattoo that I had done in Edmonton (before it was legal in Calgary) & was extremely disappointed w/. I was so impressed w/ his work, I had him do another one for me.
Now many, many years have passed & tattoo’s do fade, so I was beyond excited when I learned that Smilin’ Buddha was still around. Lindsay had now taken over where Paul left off. To say that I am as impressed w/ her ‘gift’ of tattooing is an understatement. So impressed, I have another appointment scheduled!

Scott V. (owner of Eternal Image) is probably one of, if not the best tattooist in Calgary. I don’t know how long he was tattooing before I met him, but I’ve had all my work done by him for over 24 years.
There are three chairs in the studio w/Scott taking the first one by the window. The other two chairs/stools have sort of rotated. There was a guy named Dylan at one point.
Mack helps out at the front desk booking appointments, answering phones and emails. I make it sound easier than it is.
You can’t go wrong having Scott as your tattoo artist. Just make sure you are prepared to wait. His books fill up fast.
Cleanliness: I’ve been coming to Eternal Image since their location on 17th Avenue SW (currently where the BestBuy is) and it has always been kept immaculately clean. As soon as you set foot through the door the smell of pine-sol or similar cleaner hits you. The artists take pride in a clean sanitary work station.

It was a real delight dealing with this company. We bought a pretty old home to use as an investment property but ran into lots of issues. We decided to just put in new plumbing systems, gasline, sump pumps etc. H20 Expert Plumbing & Gas came, did all the underground and above ground plumbing for both of our secondary legal suits, pulled the permits and called for the necessary plumbing and gas inspections from the city. In all, they did two full bathrooms, one kitchen, one laundry and a wet bar in the basement. And on the Mainfloor, they put in one full bathroom, one half bathroom, new island kitchen, laundry as well as pot fillers. Collins is a machine!! The job was clean. And the workmanship and attention to detail shown really made me happy. They got our job completed well ahead of schedule and the pricing was very fair for the quality of work we got. Thank you Collins! You are now our plumber for life. Myself and Dave couldn’t be happier. (Oh! The sump pump has been working perfectly l and we no-longer have water coming up into the basement). If it were possible, we would give you 10 stars?

Ky and his team gave an entirely new look to the home we moved into, in which the existing floors were a bit worn down over the years. Ky was great at answering all the questions we had and had great communication throughout. He also made sure I was satisfied with my colour choice as well, by showing stain vs more natural finishes. A couple boards were also replaced due to previous water damage, and the result was seamless. We are incredibly happy with our refinished floors, from the darker maple they were before, which absolutely brightened up the place. Had a couple spots that missed a finishing coat but Ky came back swiftly to attend to those. Thanks Ky and team!

We had a really good experience dealing with Deerfoot Carpet. We had already received a few quotes from a few other places but decided to come here for one last quote based on positive reviews.
Our sales guy was Dante and he was really nice to deal with. Very personable and really listened to what we were looking for. A lot of flooring shops were tying to push us in directions we didn't want go just because they had stock they wanted to get rid of. Dante helped us find a carpet that fit what we were looking for and explained the benefits of the different types of underlay available. He even sent us home with some large samples so we could be really sure. Most shops just give you a little business card sized sample so we really appreciated the large samples.
Dante was able to work with our schedule and get the install organized for the week that we needed. Our installer Fadi was fantastic to work with. If everyone worked as hard as Fadi the world would be a better place. Fadi was on time each day, kept an organized and clean work space and did a great job of protecting our recently painted walls and stair railings.
Overall we are very pleased with the work that was done by Dante and Fadi and would highly recommend them to anyone.

We've lived in our home for over 20 years and really wanted to have a bit of a facelift so we decided to call some places to get quotes on flooring. Out of all the companies I called, Irene and Josue impressed us so much. (One company quoted me over the phone without even seeing the floor!)I emailed them in the morning and Irene emailed me back promptly and asked if they could come by that day to see the floors. They called me again ahead of their arrival to confirm I was home.Josue and Irene both came to quote the job. They were professional and very amicable.We were surprised with Josue's work ethic, working diligently from 7:30 to 5:30. By the end of the first day, the floors were all sanded and I was shocked at the efficiency of his machinery... hardly any dust created! By the end of the second day, floors were cleaned and he hand sanded difficult areas like around the fireplace. The final day, floors were stained and a sealant was applied. I've included before and after pictures.We appreciated the service provided...very attentive and eager to ensure that we were satisfied with the work done.I don't usually write Google reviews but this company's customer service (before, during and after) has been outstanding we love our new floors! I wouldn't hesitate to have them in again!

We had a nasty wasps' nest under our backyard deck. The deck was flush to the ground and not accessible without ripping up the boards. We tried sealing the "main" entrance and caulking the slats. Then we put tarps and rugs on the deck and hung wasp traps. In hindsight, we were no competition and it was a futile effort. They were constantly finding new entrances. My only regret was not calling sooner. One treatment only. Ecopest was the epitome of professionalism and extremely reasonable. Highly recommend them.
Highly recommended. It is May 2024 and my backyard has a wasp infestation - underground nest. I called a couple other companies that questioned if it were truly wasps (out of season) and they asked me to send pictures of the insect before coming out. I chose not to chase a wasp around with a camera phone. I found Marlon from Strategic Pest Management on google. We had a lengthy chat of his services, his product information and his fees. He was very knowledgeable and informative. A true professional. He serviced my backyard and back alley and within 2 days nearly all the wasps were gone. I had only seen 2 wasps after treatment. Marlon even went as far as researching the wasps in my backyard as they were a different species. Exceptional work. Highly recommended.

We hired Vivid Gardens to complete a Landscape Restoration project. After 25 years, we needed to revitalize our gardens. It was not a huge job, but the owner “Paul” said he could fit us in his company’s busy schedule. Paul and his team did a great job in transforming our yard! He was knowledgeable on what shrubs needed extensive pruning to be revitalized. Previous landscapers always did a cursor job but Paul got right in there, identifying branch by branch on what needed to go and what needed to stay. A large part of our requirements was to remove weed-block and rocks from each garden bed and replace it with a specialty bled mulch. Not a fun task for any landscaper but his team happily completed despite the smoky conditions. The schedule had to be extended due to the air quality and enormity of the task, but Paul committed to the original price quoted. He will not leave your property until we were completely satisfied. In this day in age, you do not find many companies left that still believe in “delighting the customer”. We will be contracting Vivid Gardens to do future work and highly recommend Paul for your landscaping needs.

Dr. Rajan is very good at accessing the problems and advising ways for you to improve the quality of your life on your own while he does his magic to move you forward with less or no pain. I recently visited Dr Horia for back adjustments and to get fitted for orthotics, and I am extremely pleased with the results. Dr Horia was extremely knowledgeable and skilled in providing the adjustments I needed to relieve my back pain. Additionally, the orthotics that were fitted for me have made a noticeable difference in my posture and overall comfort. The office staff was friendly and helpful, and the atmosphere was inviting and clean. I highly recommend this chiropractor for both proper back adjustments and orthotic fittings.

I have done prenatal yoga with both my babies now and the prenatal yoga experience for both has been absolutely wonderful! The moves and knowledge is just what a pregnant body and mind needs. With my second pregnancy I was able to do 4 private couples yoga with my husband which helped us connect on a very deep level and prepare us for the labour and delivery. All the work I put in during pregnancy certainly paid off during labour, delivery and postpartum - of course not easy and not without challenges but the body and mind connection and exercise helped greatly. Baby’s Breath Yoga now offers postpartum and mum and baby yoga which is amazing so I can continue my journey event though I am not having any more children. 6/5 stars! If you’re pregnant or postpartum you must go!

The Yoga Studio offers an amazing assortment of classes in a zen setting. I attend yoga for better backs with Spring Lambrakos. I have bursitis in my shoulder - after a couple of months of attending, I am now pain free, have better range of motion, and sleep better. I also notice my posture improved (the hump at the back of my neck is reducing significantly!!). Spring is extremely knowledgeable in her practices, helpful to every student, and a warm, caring soul. She has a great sense of humour which helps when challenging us to do better! I have also taken a few classes from Brett Heilman who is a promising new instructor with a calming demeanour and high skill level - I felt great after his classes! The prices are affordable and they often offer specials!

A year ago after visiting multiple doctors and physiotherapists for pain from a undetected fracture in my tarsalia and excruciating pain in my lower back I met Anna who suggested I should try clinical essential movement. From my first treatment on I felt welcomed, taken seriously and being treated very kindly and knowledgeable. Anna listened when my boundaries were reached always tried to find another way to make movement possible and encouraged me to not give up. After 3 sessions the pain in my food was so manageable that I could pick up walking again, after a few more sessions it disappeared completely. It took a while longer to deal with my chronic lower back pain. I joint her online group classes which are super enjoyable. She guides you through each movement with clear easy to understand instructions. After each session there is a quick feedback round where you can clarify any questions you might have. Within a year the combination of clinical treatment, online classes and practice at home helped me to be able to do a short hike back country camping trip with a 12 kg back pack on my back. A year ago I would have laughed had someone told me that I would be able to do this again. I am very grateful for the high quality of Anna's medical treatments and her online classes.You have nothing to loose but your pain - try it!

I highly recommend Lynn Wilkins as a therapist. The process was excellent - I was given a sheet to specify my preferences and choose from free additional treatments such as hot stones, cupping, and body cleansing. These were incorporated into the session and made it extremely relaxing. I opted for a deep tissue massage and the pressure was perfect, with the therapist checking in with me regularly. They were able to reach spots on my body that no one else has and it felt amazing. The quiet and peaceful atmosphere added to the overall experience, making it truly wonderful.

Southwest Massage is always my go to for massage. I have been to Brian twice who is fabulous, Victoria as well. I went today after suffering daily headaches and the inability to sleep. I went to Anthony and after 90 minutes I feel like I left a different person. He is amazing. I don’t think you can go wrong if you book at this clinic!

I highly recommend Dr. Lee , very friendly and professional. Before I started acupuncture I have issues on my period. I have irregular period, at least 10 months before i will have my period. Tried a lot of medication and birth control pills prescribed by doctors but nothing works for me. Then I started acupuncture after a few visits my period got normalized. I have my period every month.

I saw Betty Lew for an acupuncture treatment when I was pregnant (2nd pregnancy) and past my due date. My water had broken over 24 hrs prior to my appt but I hadn’t gone into labour. I was trying to kick-start labour naturally and avoid medical induction but was running out of time before the risk of infection became too high.
My lower back had been seizing up for most of my pregnancy. During my appointment, Betty placed needles into my sacrum with stimulation. Within minutes, I felt a very obvious shift and release in my lower back, then started having contractions almost immediately.
I was able to avoid getting medically induced and had a successful natural delivery thanks to Betty’s handy work. I’m so grateful for that appointment and will continue to see Betty for acupuncture treatments moving forward. Can’t recommend highly enough.

I went to Dr. Amy for acupuncture. She treated my TMJ. I was in pain for quite awhile but she managed to make me feel a lot better in one session. I particularly enjoyed her buccal massage, it was very helpful. I definitely recommend her for pain treatment!

Because of sudden facial nerve paralysis on the left side of my face, I was recommended by a friend to see Dr. King Wong for acupuncture. This doctor is very skilled and takes good care of his patients. The first treatment has slowed the response by 50%, and the second treatment has restored 90%. Acupuncture no longer causes facial numbness, and the muscles feel normal. I am very grateful to Dr Wong for his help, and I hope more people can get help from his superb medical skills to alleviate their pain.
After a diagnosis of premature menopause, did include blood works that shows that. Dr. Yan could balanced them until de point that my period came back. No more symptoms so far. Even my being eating was control. I recommend her 100%, I am very happy with the treatment she provided to me

I have been studying with a driving instructor for 3 weeks now. I went to school to be taught how to drive a car from scratch and as a result I will be able to get a full G license. I did the weekend motorcycle class and was incredibly pleased with the course. Darren is a fantastic trainer who took the time to explain not only the mechanics of the bikes but also the fundamentals of the road rules so that just a few days later I was able to pass my motorcycle road test having not ridden a motorcycle in over 25 years. I was very impressed with the structure of this course and would recommend it to anyone who asks.
