“I have a golden retriever,She started breathing heavy and drinking a lot.I knew that was diffrent so I call the vet I was seeing for the 3 years my golden has been alive.I explained to them what was going on.Well they didn’t think it was an emergency so they told me they could see her on Saturday at 12:00 was the earliest.Well this was Sunday which meant I would have to wait almost a full week.So I went on line to earlysville animal hospital and filled out an appointment for Wednesday.Monday when they opened they called me and said ya know we think she probably needs to be seen we have an appointment today if you can make it.Well of course I did.Im glad I did because there is something wrong and they started her on antibiotics right away and still have further testing.But as a pet owner you know when something is wrong with your pup.And for my vet to make me wait a week and not take her as an emergency and a vet (Earlysville animal hospital)to take her as an emergency the next day showed how much they care and respect what the owner says.As test results came in they called me with the results and explained to me what it meant and what the next step would be.Needless to say I will remain a client of theirs for all of my dogs.They are very understanding and compassionate.I highly recommend.“

“My sweet cat Hades came to Monticello for some tooth extractions. Dr Anderson and Brittany were amazing!! They clearly studied his records to understand all that he's been through medically and were so kind to him. They provided excellent communication and I was comforted knowing he was in such good hands. Even the scheduler Shanah was great at getting everything in order to limit the stress on him for the procedure. This is a fantastic practice and Im so thankful for every one of them and the care they provide!!“

“I came to Monticello Animal Hospital based on a recommendation from a coworker. I am so happy I found this place! I brought two of my cats here already and have had a great experience each time. The staff is very nice and helpful. We saw both Dr. Heilmeier and Dr. Andersen and they were both very gentle with our cats. They answered all our questions and explained their reasoning for each procedure they elected to do. I am glad I found this place and will continue bringing my pets here for their care. The only feedback I would give is trying to be more transparent with prices. We did not get any out of the world surprise bills or anything like that, but I am used to vets that tell you how much procedures cost beforehand as well. Nevertheless, I am still very satisfied with their services.“

“I was new to the area about a year ago and with four cats, knew I wanted a cats only place. It's definitely more serene and catered to felines here which makes visits less stressful. It's very professional and welcoming. Prices are comparable to any other place I have been. Dr. Egan and the entire staff here are wonderful. Love this practice and highly recommend them to any cat owner!“

“Added a guinea to our family but the little fellow came with horrendous nails which I was a bit uncomfortable trying to trim, especially since they are dark and I couldn't see the quick. They scheduled him in a very timely mannerly and from the moment he and I stepped in the clinic door to leaving was less than 15 minutes. The fee for the trim? Ten dollars. I will certainly let them trim his nails rather than worry about hurting him!“

“So I unfortunately only became a part of the Old Dominion family recently when my cat became very ill and my gf brought him there for a second opinion. He had to be put down about two weeks later, obviously being very difficult decision for me to make. Let me tell you the professionalism, care, love, and thoughtfulness of the vet and the staff will make me never go anywhere else. They treated Jackson so well and were so supportive of me during this heartbreaking moment of my life. Just received a support letter today and it was not just some generic letter they send out. It was handwritten and signed by the entire staff and while it made me sad thinking about my buddy, the overwhelming compassion I felt was just what I needed. They even had taken paw prints and nose prints and included those for keepsakes, which meant the world to me. Old Dominion, be proud of what you represent, because you guys are amazing at what you do. Thank you for everything.“

“Coming back to update because the folks here are really just so wonderful. Since our early visits my pup ended up needing five surgeries, four of which were done here (one required a specialist). Not only were the staff fantastic in vet care, they also helped me walk through options, get set up with the specialist, and provide great care whenever we are in town. We're sad to lose them when we move away from VA, but so appreciative and grateful - they even gave great tips on what to look out for in our new area! Cannot recommend their services enough, Sunday and I are beyond grateful for what they do.“

“I can't say enough about how wonderful the people at Cat Care Clinic are! Everyone is always friendly when I call, and Stacy (Head Technician) is the absolute best! Whenever I email with one of my (many) questions, she writes back that day and is always knowledgeable, optimistic, and good-humored (despite the fact that my cat has been VERY badly behaved at her visits). She recently had surgery with Dr. Mahanes to remove a lump, and Stacy was with me every step of the way, answering all of my questions before surgery and checking in daily during recovery. It was a very stressful time, and Stacy made everything so much easier. She is truly committed and devoted to her work. As for the surgery, Dr. Mahanes did a wonderful job, and my cat is fine now. Knowing that I have both of these woman to count on during the life of my cat eases my mind and heart.“

“We started going to this practice when we moved to the area 9 years ago. Our dog is now 15 and the vets and staff members are always very kind and helpful. Very thankful to have such amazing people helping us through his senior years. I also always appreciate them trying to work with our crazy schedule. Just when I think it will be impossible to get him in for an issue, they make it work somehow. In addition, they are very prompt and efficient making sure he always has his meds, bloodwork, and prescriptions.“

“This office is really incredible, so professional and knowledgeable surgeons/vets. Dr. Rudd worked us in same day for a CT scan and surgery first thing the next day. Sadly our 10 year old sweet lab mix had aggressive cancer and only 2 weeks to live. But the phone calls from the doctor, visits and compassion were phenomenal.“
