“Five stars! The entire process was easy and everyone I interacted with was knowledgeable and respectful. They weren’t the cheapest company, but I believe that you get what you pay for. They provided me with several options to suit my needs and budget. They kept me informed while we were waiting for installation and offered temporary portable ACs if we needed them to keep cool. One minor detail that I really appreciated is that they re-caulked the trim for the attic ladder when they had to remove it. I wouldn’t have even known that they removed it if I they didn’t tell me they had to. They also cleaned up well and made sure we knew how to use our new system. Highly recommend Jason and his crew to anyone looking for a new HVAC company.“

“My heat pump's wall thermostat went blank (it doesn't use back-up batteries), so I couldn't use heat or AC at my home. I sent a service request to AHS warranty, and they assigned this contractor immediately. I received a call from the contractor right away and my appointment was scheduled for the next morning. The technician arrived on time and immediately found a blown fuse in the air handler, which he replaced, and the wall thermostat display started working, but the heat and AC still didn't come on. He then went outside to the heat pump and replaced two bad parts (a transformer and contactor, I think). I believe those two parts got fried and caused the fuse to trip. The problem was fixed on the first visit. Both the office staff and the technician were friendly, helpful and knowledgeable, and the technician was very thorough in his work. This was my first time using the AHS warranty (or this contractor), and I was pleased that the repair was covered except for my deductible. “From 2008 to 2020, while living in Newport News, VA, we had Sturdevant complete 4 major projects for us.They remodel our master bathroom, built a retaining wall 4 ft high by 300 ft long in our front yard, a 6 ft high by 25 ft long retaining wall in our back yard, and built a 35 ft long by 24 ft wide by 10 ft high Pergola over our deck.Sturdevant had us involved in every step of the process. Planning, site survey, selection of various types of materials, verifying materials as they were delivered, walk thru with the Forman, and final walk thru with the Project Manager.Every project started with a home visit and quickly moved to their main office to sit and go over all the blueprints and available materials. At this time, we were able to select materials of various cost, to get the look and value that we wanted. Never once was we pressured to use high dollar materials.We were completely satisfied with the entire process, quality of work. We even talked to the workers, and they were able to answer questions that we asked during construction. One thing that really mad us happy was the ability to do some of the work to save money. For example, we did all the demo in our bathroom and hauled it off. This saved us over $500 in labor.We moved to Oswego NY in 2021. I wish they had a company up in Oswego NY, as I would use them for everything we have done to our new house. We really miss they level of professionalism.“
