“I absolutely love this vet’s office. Everyone here is kind, professional, and clearly cares about both pets and their people.

We had an appointment with Dr. Abraham yesterday, and it reminded me how friendly, knowledgeable, and patient he is. I never feel rushed during appointments, and he always takes the time to answer my questions and explain things clearly.

We’ve also seen Dr. Howard and Dr. Meyers and have had great experiences with them as well. The vet techs are wonderful too and are always kind, gentle, and so sweet with our dogs.

The front office staff is fantastic. Scheduling appointments, requesting records, and getting information is always easy, and their email responses are consistently fast and helpful. It's actually shocking to me how quickly I hear back from them!

We feel very lucky to have such a trustworthy and caring veterinary team. Highly, highly recommend!“

“Dr. Hicks has been taking care of Ginger since she was rescued by Doodle Dandy Rescue in January 2023. Within a few days of adopting Ginger in April 2023 she was due a couple of vaccinations. We decided to schedule an appointment with Dr. Hicks since she was already familiar with her history which included anxiety. During that visit we saw how gentle, kind and loving Dr. Hicks was with Ginger and Ginger’s comfort with her and immediately knew we would continue to trust her taking care of our sweet girl going forward. Although BPAH is not close to us, it is well worth the drive to know Dr. Hicks and the entire BPAH team love their patients and provide the best care possible!“

“Best veterinary clinic in DFW! Their care for animals is number one priority over profits. Every doctor and staff member is patient, caring, and goes the extra mile to provide exceptional service. Above all, Doctor Norton is a special kind of wonderful.
My husband and I rescued two GS puppies from the same litter and unfortunately, the male pup, our beloved Sarge, was diagnosed with epilepsy at the age of one. During our first meeting with Dr. Norton, the staff noticed Sarge was struggling with the confinement of an exam room so they immediately moved us to the livestock area where he would feel more comfortable to roam. Dr. Norton sat on the floor with Sarge rubbing his belly, and told us not to feel rushed, ask as many questions as possible no matter how long it took. He made himself available to us 24/7 via phone (seriously, sometimes even at 8pm) and did extensive research to help us find the right balance of medication. He even worked with a pharmacy to get us the best price on prescriptions. Unfortunately after 3 years, the epilepsy took a toll on Sarge’s body and he suffered a cluster of Grand Mal seizures. Within days, we received a handwritten card signed by every staff member with their condolences. I simply cannot explain how grateful we were to have this team on our side guiding us through the process. Five stars doesn’t do them justice.“

“Logan was my heart and soul. Letting him go because of cancer was one of the worst days. The AEHNT staff and doctors were beyond amazing and caring to Logan and us during that difficult day.

We received a condolence card in the mail. When we picked up his ashes, we were also given his paw print, locks of his hair and his ashes in the sweetest box with his name plate.

“I can't say enough good things about Lucas Vet. We recently adopted a BIG puppy from a shelter and quickly learned he was very sick. He had constant diarrhea all over the floors like something I have never seen, and we have adopted and fostered many dogs throughout the years. 3 days later my husband ended up in the emergency room very sick and ended up having to stay in the hospital for several days. I was at the end of my rope. I needed to be with my husband, but I had a very sick puppy that I could not leave in a crate with his tummy problems. I called a vet in the area who has a hospital and takes care of my cats. I told the front desk of our situation, but I felt they did not care and basically just blew me off. I was really disappointed. So then I called Lucas Vet, who has taken care of our dogs for many years, but I was unsure if they had overnight facilities. From the moment I called, they were so gracious and kind to me. Without hesitation they told me to bring the dog in and drop him off so I could get to the hospital, and in the meantime they would check out our puppy. To make a long story short, then kept my dog for 3 days and two night. It gave them time to assess the situation with my dog and calm down his stomach, but mostly it gave me the time I needed to take care of my husband and get him home. They are both home now, and they are both doing better. We could not be more grateful to Lucas Veterinary Hospital. They are truly angels on wings to us and they will be getting all of our business going forward. Their compassion in our time of need speaks for itself. Thank you, Thank you, Thank you! .... P.S. Another bonus, you never have to wait for more than 5 minutes. They do not overbook, which we really appreciate. When you have anxious pets, this is a blessing.“
