“Hi! I have been struggling with dry eyes for years. I didn’t even realize how detrimental my condition was until I finally got the guidance and help I needed from Dr. Faheen and Estefani at the Dry Eye and Wellness Center in Sugarland. I had been living with dry, gritty, tired, fatigued eyes and I just got accustomed to existing this way - if you are living this way know that you don’t have to anymore. Dr. Faheen takes a holistic approach to addressing this condition - diet, water intake, Omega-3, and really looking at the the condition of your eyes with the most technologically advanced equipment. After taking very detailed images, I was diagnosed with Blepharitis and MGD (meibomian gland dysfunction). Estefani performed a deep cleaning of my lids and lashes and took great care to make sure all the irritation, dirt, and makeup residue was gone. Immediately after that I had the Lipiflow, which treats MGD by warming and massaging the inside of eyelids to restore healthy oil production and improve tear quality. I also have been diagnosed with Keratoconus and haven’t been able to comfortably wear contact lenses for years. Dr Faheen and Estefani are the experts with Scleral lens fitting. Since I have worn Scleral lenses it has been a real game/life changer. I am able to do so many things that I haven’t been able to do for a long time. My vision is 20/20 and crisp - I am in awe of how much I can actually see now. I appreciate the attention to detail and the kindness they have both shown me in this journey. “My son when he was 8 years old, we found that he had a Myopia condition which made his eye power increase by 1 point every year. Initially, we were consulting an Eye doctor near a Lenscrafter store and they told me the only option was contact lenses. My son doesn’t want to wear contacts and we were sure with his sports activities it would be difficult to have contacts. After multiple visits, I asked several times if there is any other option and they said the only way to control Myopia is a Contacts lens. Later one of my friends asked me to consult Dr. Rizwan Jaffer. By the time I consulted the doctor for the first time, my Son’s Eye power had increased from 2 to 4 in 2 years. I explained to Dr. Rizwan about the Contacts option I was given and he said there is also an Eye drop that I can insist on daily once before sleep instead of contacts. I remember asking multiple times why other doctors said Contacts is the only option. Suddenly I felt betrayed by the other doctor. How in the name of business they hide the fact that there is another potential option that can be equally or more effective than Contact lenses and they simply did not share that info so they can make money out of it. It has been 3 years and my Son’s eye power is still at 4. I am glad I found Dr. Rizwan. I don’t want any other parents to become victims of those profit-thirsty doctors and be aware that other options are available and it is easy for kids and effective.“
