“My son absolutely loves his classes here. We tried a different martial arts which did not seem to be teaching him much. He did not care to go. Since switching to Kung Jung Mu Sul his entire attitude has shifted. He absolutely adored going and if we could join the leadership program we would. I know it would be worth it, we are just waiting for the time to get him to all the classes and events. Not only has he grown to love Martial arts, he has had a huge shift in his behavior at home and at school. He is much more involved in his classes and active at home. I used to get calls from his teachers multiple times a week about his poor behavior in class and lack of focus. Now I am getting compliments about how he is like a whole new person.“
“I absolutely love this dojo and its instructors. The owner Master Ramirez is tough but is amazing with his students. He looks at all of us as his family but still pushes his students hard so that they can be the best martial artists they can be. My son has been going here for 4 years and loves it. Under Master Ram"s teaching I have watched my son blossom in Taekwondo. If you are looking for a place for you or your children to learn Taekwondo then I highly recommend Christian Taekwondo League. You will not be disappointed.“
“It's a very professional place. Helps children a lot with self-confidence and discipline. I like that instructors treat the same (with respect and not softly) no matter gender or age in the sense that they can be ready to face the real world. Good place for you kiddo.“
“My son has been coming here since November of 2023. It has been a wonderful experience. Master Riley has some amazing people who work with him. I recommend them to everyone I meet.“
“My daughter trained with Coach Hrbek for over a year at the dojo, I would love to say hands down one of the best coaches ever. He is great with kids and his teaching methods are really good, he makes sure kids understand and teaches lots of great techniques. When we relocated to Dallas, we put her in another dojo, but she was invisible among 100 other kids, but at Universal she got her attention and training. Also, she got to train with the national and Olympic level athletes. I miss the dojo and coach Hrbek.“
“The atmosphere here is fantastic! They have a great teacher to student ratio where they were able to help guide my child through her first day. Everyone has a great attitude and warm demeanor. I feel like my child will be able to enjoy her time here for years to come.“
“For people that don’t know boxing, first of all this is a real boxing gym of boxer that do go to fight. In a gym that you go and you pay for a trainer there not teaching you boxing. This is how it works if you are not dedicated and go every day the coaches automatically start looking at you and will want to train you. But nobody is gonna trained a person that goes 2 or 3 days a week or every 2 weeks or go back in a month. Sorry but I a real fight you will get knock out , coaches look for the next boxing future. Boxing is a double side knife , if you really want to learn you have to learn from the best and go to places that they do fight and watch boxing is a years thing. And if you don’t want to get hit practice or boxing is not for you.“
“My now 11 & 9 y/o sons started at AMA in June of 2016. The staff is EXCELLENT with children and older students and also work well with parents. We expect more from our sons, A's & B's in school, extra-curriculars (like sports, musical instruments, Cub/Boy Scouts), respect for others and speaking up for themselves. The staff at AMA has helped my sons learn the discipline needed to succeed, the confidence to speak for themselves and the drive to succeed. My 11 y/o matured enough to pass on his first opportunity to take his junior black belt test because he wasn't sure he was ready. He missed the next opportunity to test because we were out of town and still had the drive to go to class 3 times a week until his next opportunity, last Saturday (12/7/19) and it paid off. He earned his junior black belt after a rigorous 3.5 hour test which required a lot of 'grit' to endure. My 9 y/o tried to qualify for the test and wasn't quite good enough. He was a bit upset but is sticking with it and hopes to qualify in March or April. I've watched him suffer through class with raw toes from a rough swimming pool, tough out feeling poorly and even being hurt. Couldn't be more proud of how they have persevered! Can't speak highly enough of the staff!Edit 11/16/22: boys are now 14 & 12 and still enjoy going here. Youngest earned his Junior Black Belt too and both are hoping to earn their adult Black Belts.“
