“I grew up in New Braunfels and my mother lived there her whole life. Losing my mom was harder than I ever imagined. The staff at Sunset Memorial were incredible helping us get through this challenging time. We met with Howard Holderfield one of the directors and he is absolutely one of the nicest human beings I have ever met (that says a lot since I have worked in the medical, ministry and education fields, meeting lots of people). He took care of our family as if we were a part of his and made us feel like we were his #1 priority. We had so many questions and even last minute changes. His communication to us was always compassionate and confident, reassuring us that he was going to take care of us.His attention to detail, hard work and passion to be there for us truly showed and as a result my mother had a wonderful celebration. We had plenty of room to meet family for my moms viewing and the building is really nice and updated.My father has pre-planned his funeral at Sunset. “Did not use this place but went to a funeral here and gave my rating based on what I could see. Place looks well kept. Have drove past it hundreds or times and never seen it look bad. It is right off a high speed road so traveling north the entrance comes right off a curve.“
