I used American Roofing Services 10 years ago to replace my roof. I didn't know anybody personally at the time who would do roofs. Recently, I found several leaks coming through my ceiling. I called a trusted roofer, someone I personally know this time, to come and see what was going on. He found large gaps at the roof vent and could easily see into my attic. According to my contract and invoice, all of the former shingle layers were supposed to have been removed and a new felt underlayment installed, yet there was still an old layer of shingles present. They go door to door to drum up business and never looked at my roof. Don't get involved with American roofing. Total scam. Threatening me with costly payment for 10 minute visit. I'm in my 70s and they are taking advantage of elderly people. Not a reputable company.
