My senior mini-schnauzer has tried many grooming providers in her life, but none as caring and attentive as Katie. And those qualities matter, particularly with pups who get anxious during these services.

There is a palpable zen vibe when you enter the shop. Soft music, calmed dogs on the table and a total absence of loud, clattering noises and the hurried chaos (that can be so typical of some grooming establishments from over-booking) greet you. Katie listens, observes, adapts and accommodates to make your pet feel relaxed and comfortable.

When I picked Ava up at the promised time, not only did she look phenomenal with her well-upgraded schnauzer cut and style, but she was happy! She’d received gentle treatment, and some yummy and holistic rewards. There was no shaking/trembling/panting on our ride home, and she was the most relaxed I’d ever seen her following a grooming service.

“This is the best vet, by far, that we have ever been to. We have 6 rescues and the staff treats them all with such great compassion and care. Our primary doctor is Dr. Becker and she is AMAZING! Kind, compassionate, knowledgeable, and sweet. When calling to make an appointment or ask a question, the staff on the phone are always so nice and very helpful. When we we are there for our appointments everyone makes us, and especially our fur babies feel at ease. They are all so personable. I have met all the doctors at different times when Dr. Becker wasn't available and every single one has a kind and warm approach and is so knowledgeable that you always feel your pups are in great hands. Last year was a tough one. We lost our sweet greyhound Lily and Dr. Hackanin was a gem. She was there when we needed to let Lily go and made the very sad situation more bearable. 3 months later we had to let our other greyhound Oliver (who was our sweet old soul) go. Dr. Becker was there for us and it meant so much. Two of the amazing staff members Jennifer and Meaghan made it a point to take time out to come and offer kind words during these very sad times. That meant so much. They have 2 offices which makes it very convenient to schedule appointments. We have been to several vets in the area and no one comes close to being like this wonderful practice. They are an amazing group of people, both doctors and staff, so dedicated to their clients and their fur babies. We are so grateful to them for every visit and appreciate every member of the team!“

“Highly recommend. I took my cat on a Saturday because I was worried about my 12 year old cat who wasnt herself. Dr.Howland was so kind and compassionate and good with my senior kitty. And could tell how stressed and upset I was about my kitty. They ran bloodwork and were able to get the results within 40 mins. Hope to not have to bring my kitty back anytime soon but if I do, will know it is a very understanding Veterinary Center.“

“My dog lives half the year in Virginia with me and half the year in Pennsylvania with my parents. My dog is terrified of any groomer I’ve taken her to in VA, but she doesn’t mind going here. The atmosphere is very open. Not like in VA where they take her to a back room and I can’t see her and she can’t see me. My dog is little, so when I go here, the groomer lets me just hold her and the nail trim takes less than 5 minutes.“

I brought my golden retriever, Nila, to Dog Daze for the first time, and I couldn't be more pleased with the experience. My dog is very timid and nervous, especially around new people and unfamiliar environments, so I was a little anxious myself going in.

From the moment we arrived, the staff was warm and patient. I was impressed by how calm and professional they were—clearly very experienced with anxious dogs.

“Our dog Duke loves going to Preppy Pet. They are very accomodating to him. Duke suffers from bad anxiety, but with the help of medication and the caring staff at Preppy Pet he is able to calmly enjoy his boarding time. They also make a seperate boarding area, as they know his anxiety can cause him to get destructive. The staff is also very good with communication, and emails are returned in a short time.“
