“Old school Olympic lifting like the Lord intended. The owner knows what he's talking about when it comes to lifting in general and competitive lifting.“
“Really nice people with the expertise to set up a workout program that meets my specific goals and needs. They make workouts fun.“
“I highly recommend Cornerstone Calisthenics. The team there is super professional and they have created a workout program that is very specific to me and my needs. They have already helped me enormously in the brief time I've been working with them. Can't say enough good things about their program and how thorough it is!“
“It was trial session. Melissa was very knowledgable and has a great technique. I felt so relaxed after the treatment. Will repeat this!!“
“I met Katie shortly before I had knee surgery to repair tears on my meniscus. It had been about 6 months of regular pain, forcing me to refrain from running, working out, or even so much as doing a full body squat without pain and/or an unsettling click. Katie worked with me to identify the problems I was having and introduced me to a series of progressively more dynamic exercises to build up my mobility and strength to a level beyond where I was before my injury.Besides her mastery of physical therapy (and the fact that Katie is just an awesome person), these three things stood out to me the most:1: Katie uses a collaborative, educational approach to her work with her clients, and she is a fantastic instructor and coach. Moving my body in new ways was sometimes difficult, but her ability to articulate the exercises using auditory and visual cues was super helpful. Seeing something and hearing it in terms I understood made the process more enjoyable, and especially let me see why certain movements hurt, and how to improve upon them. Real-time cues while doing exercises also helped to hone in on the pieces I might be missing, and especially the pieces I was doing well. Both helped tremendously.2: Katie is extremely patient. Again, moving my body in new ways was sometimes difficult, which often left me spinning my wheels as I tried to get the movements right. Not once did she even remotely seem frustrated or impatient as I struggled. Instead, she showed enthusiasm for even the smallest improvements, and celebrated all of my little wins. It made learning and getting stronger a pleasant experience that motivated me each step of the way. Katie’s office is a safe place that fosters improvement in surprising ways.3: Katie is an empathic practitioner who understands your pain, and truly wants you to get better and be your best self. Knowing that she was on my side, seeing her celebrate my little wins, all of it. Katie made my pain feel understood from the first day, and inspired me to have confidence in both my progress and my potential once I was back in action.I highly recommend Katie for anyone who is ready to feel good in their body. She’s a treasure.“
“Last June I had a hysterectomy and was not able to really workout for several months (other than walking). I finally went back to the gym in September and went way too hard! I hurt my back and ended up having to do quite a few months of PT (thanks Mary) and then was able to do a little more but was finally cleared to do regular workouts at the end of March. I started X camp at Adapt April 1st. It was a 4 week, intense camp, from 7:30-8:30 pm run by the amazing Adapt owner, Brian. It was hard but I was super committed. I met so many amazing people and enjoyed working out with Kirsten, Brian, and many others but more importantly, it helped me remember why I love working out. It has become a non negotiable in my life again and I am averaging 4-6 workouts each week. Yesterday marked three months of commitment. At the beginning of camp, and on the last day of camp, we were tested on a variety of things. I’ve continued working on certain things with the trainers (shout out to Jessica, Carly, Sheldon, and Nic). Today was my final test. At the beginning of camp I couldn’t do any step ups to stork walks. I also couldn’t do decline push ups or very good Downward dogs. Today I did 10 step ups, 10 push ups, and my downward dogs have gotten so much better. I still have a lot of room for improvement but I’m so proud and thankful for the Adapt staff and community. You have brought me back to life and for that, I am so grateful!“
“Dustin is a knowledgeable and reliable fitness trainer with a great sense of balance between compassion and pushing you harder. He keeps workouts interesting and is easily able to adapt exercises for injury. He is professional yet fun and I always enjoyed our training sessions (even the more challenging ones that left me with sore muscles). I confidently recommend him if you are seeking 1:1 training.“
“Adira has been an absolute game-changer for our athlete! Our athlete was already putting in the work, attending the team workouts and practices, but they were missing that extra oomph in terms of strength.Ami makes it fun and enjoyable to train, she is very motivating and encouraging for young athletes. If motivation, strength, flexibility, and personal attention is what you’re looking for, Adira is it!“
“Awesome gym for the bodybuilder/power lifter who is looking for a serious training facility. Lots of great machines and even a posing station for BB competitors. Only complaint is that there’s only one squat rack, one deadlift platform, and and two bench racks. This is fine if you’re in there at 6am with just a few people but during busy hours like after work you’ll probably have to wait for equipment. There’s a bunch of cardio equipment that I feel like they could pare down to make space for another rack but maybe I only think that because I hate cardio haha. Otherwise great environment and place to get a nasty pump.“
“I love this gym the machines are top notch, it's clean, friendly trainers. I train with Michael he is the owner and he is genuine, funny, easy to talk he is fun. I highly recommend this place.“
“Beautiful facility, great equipment, unmatched coaching. Learn how to strength train with the best team around.“
“Love this place. All the staff are very friendly and fun and a family run business. Super knowledgeable and helpful. I’ve been using the cryotherapy and normatec as sport injury recovery and it works well and quick! Keeps me active and upright. I would recommend cryotherapy here over any other place in town. Maybe I’ll see you here!“
“Great place to work out. Plenty of room and lots of equipment all maintained in great condition.“
“Lynn is the most amazing and inspirational coach you will find. She tailors your workouts to your individual needs and goals. No judgment about your skill level and no hard selling. She's really devoted to helping you be more healthy and strong. I've worked with her 2-3 times per week for over 3 years and can't say enough about how much I enjoy her sessions. Do yourself a favor and book a session today.“
“This is such an amazing, warm atmosphere to be in. Chris and the others really care about you and your health, and make you feel like part of the family. The weekly produce is tasty and I have a great bunch of friends now!“
“Hi, I'm a 69 year old woman who, before retirement, had a desk job for 30+ years. Within the last 6 months, I started coming to semi-private strength building classes at Woodslawn. I'm loving the classes. Most recently I have noticed that my whole back is feeling much stronger.

I assumed that I'd get weaker with age. To the contrary I'm feeling stronger and more secure in my body than ever before. Jonathan is a great coach and our classes are fun, well planned and focused. I look forward to them and leave feeling like I challenged myself just the right amount to improve overall. I'm so glad that Woodslawn Fitness is an accessible and welcoming place, or I may have been intimidated to check it out.

You've got one happy member in me!“
“I went to rose city barbell while living in Oregon and they were always very welcoming! The community is lively and they do things outside of the gym plus they participate actively in hosting local competitions. They have a variety of training options such as CrossFit, barbell work, and open gym. They try to organize classes in the way that suits their members and are always willing to listen to what their members are looking for. Additionally, they even have nutrition coaching. And not to mention this CrossFit gym is owned by a woman - which as we know is a male dominated field!“
“5-star club, amenities, service, and staff! This club is kept immaculately clean... Everything you could want in one location. Care and pride of ownership are visible everywhere!“
“This particular gym the employees are helpful and will answer your questions that you might have, people leave you alone unless you are with that party. All in all I would come back here but I’m moving to another state“
“The club was clean and well organized. Staff was friendly and very helpful. Will definitely recommend and return.“
“I have been going to Elevate Fitness for over 5 years. What a great experience it has been and I highly recommend Elevate Fitness. This gym is an instructor led class workout environment and is perfect for the person that needs motivation and a little push to do more every day. It doesn’t matter if you are a seasoned gym rat or a first timer the instructors and people will motivate you at any skill level and make you feel good about yourself. I love the mix of classes that they offer throughout the week.“
