“Portland Construction Company made a miserable situation about as painless as it could possibly be.

We had significant water damage that required a full bathroom overhaul and replacing flooring throughout the house. From day one, they took charge of the process: they coordinated directly with our insurance company, handled the paperwork and back-and-forth, and clearly explained what was covered and what our options were. I never felt like I had to chase anyone or translate “insurance speak” — they did all of that for us.

The crew was on time, respectful, and careful with the rest of the house. They kept the work areas as clean as possible given the scope, communicated schedule changes early, and walked us through each phase so there were no surprises. The finished bathroom looks better than it did before the damage, and the new floors tie the whole home together.

What impressed me most was how low-stress they made a high-stress event. They genuinely took care of the details so we could focus on normal life. I’d absolutely use Portland Construction Company again and recommend them to anyone dealing with repairs after water damage.“

Despite a few issues with various subs, LRS ensured the work was done to their high standard. Project finished on timeline expected except for a few punchlist items at end. “Kayed and his whole team were wonderful to work with. We added a master suite, another bedroom, moved windows and an interior hallway, approx. 500 sq. ft. As well as a new roof on the entire house. From the excavation to the final inspection the job went smoothly. We have been dreaming about this addition to our home since 2018 and to see it actually completed in 6 months is an amazing relief. We were not Evergreen's typical job, as we are doing all interior finishes ourselves. There were times they had to wait on us for the next step. They were flexible and communicative and we would recommend them highly to anyone.“

“We had a great experience working with this company. Our project was new siding replacing old plank siding and a point job. Estimate was very clear and we even asked for a new estimate to break out all optional charges before we moved forward. During the process we had a couple small issues/misunderstandings that were quickly cleared up and fixed to our satisfaction. That is bound to happen when dealing with a few point people that are all human. What was also nice about this experience was that it was done in a timely manner with no surprise hidden costs. “We consider ourselves so lucky to have found Maxwell for our remodel! We worked with Maxwell to finish our basement and add a back deck to our 1920s home. Much of this project was sentimental as we are living in the house where I grew up. Maxwell and his team treated our home with such care and consideration, even incorporating parts of the house in the remodel and finding new windows that mirrored the look of the original basement windows. It was important to me that the basement and deck look and feel like they fit with the period of the house. The final product exceeded my expectations.

“Ryan and his crew did an excellent job with our bathroom replumb and remodel. They took the room down to studs, roughed in new plumbing and electrical, then finished everything with some expertly done tile work.

From a project management perspective, Ryan is very good at what he does. He lines up his subcontractors and keeps everything on budget. He also took the time to explain the process when asked.

The subcontractors that Ryan works with are incredible. His electrician found a perfect solution for tricky exhaust fan placement: an in-line fan in the adjacent accessible attic space. His plumbers managed to re-plumb the second bathroom without a single day of downtime. And his tile crew did some of the most meticulous tile work I have seen. Really stellar work across the board.

All in all, the work got done well and on-budget. In terms of downsides, there were several weeks of downtime in this months-long project and there were certainly moments where I wished that progress would continue. But again, Ryan and his team did this job incredibly well and on-budget.“
