We originally wanted to add a bathroom on our 1st floor for my in-laws. We had a few contractors come, but only one (Adobe Contracting) was honest and realistic about the prospective costs and challenges of what we had envisioned. So intead of adding a bathroom, we decided to renovate our main bathroom to a mobility accessible walk-in shower. Being a large family, we also wanted the powder room renovated to give us some more space.
Both bathrooms were completely gutted -new tiles, new paint, new hardware, new vanity and toilet, new everything! They look a million times better and we are extremely happy.
Additionally, Adobe Contracting extended our fence so our backyard is finally enclosed. So many contractors over the last couple of years we have lived here gave me the run around or outright refused because the project was "too small". Adobe had it up in a matter of hours and we are over the moon about it.
Very grateful that we were able to find a personable, kind, and honest person to do work in our forever family home. I would recommend this company to anyone (already have) and hopefully he will be able to complete some more projects we have for our home on the horizon. Thank you.
I was impressed with how conscientious and detail-oriented Simon was while washing our windows. He took the time to do a good job, making sure the ledges as well as the glass was clean. He did an excellent job repairing our flagstone. He was very careful fitting the stones back together, then came back another day to do the mortar. He is a responsible worker who cleans up the site after he is finished.
Going with Parsa Renovations for our wall construction was a fantastic decision. I was really impressed by how committed their trades were to doing a great job, and they nailed it by finishing on time and sticking to our budget. I can't help but give them credit for the outstanding design they did.

I had a great experience with Infinity. Randy was very communicative and easy to get a hold of. We had to work through some unique details for my gutter installation and he balanced his expertise with my vision in a way I really appreciated. He was also proactive in bringing up some potential issues before they happened so we could come to an agreement about how to handle them if they happened - really set my mind at ease.
I probably would have gone with them for these reasons but they also happened to be the most affordable quote. The work looks great too - we are very happy with the job!

Andreea Hair Colourist: I first went to Andreea in 2015 and she transformed my hair. It was a breath of fresh hair to meet a colourist that has the health of your hair as priority and works with your natural to give you blonde that looks fabulous over months of time. My hair used to be over processed, dry and broken. I now get complements all the time about the health and colour of my hair. I live in Ottawa now and have been travelling back to Toronto to have Andreea do my blonde for the past 5 years because I have never found anyone who puts that level of effort and commitment into my hair. She works with her existing pattern and while I am there for a long time.. the quality and quantity of melted/blended blonde I leave with is unmatched. She is the only hair colourist I know that can do that, so that I am not needing to rush back in in a couple months. Her passion for a job done to perfection is evident when you watch her work. She takes incredible pride in her technique and finished product. Andreea settles for nothing less than amazing..every time. I have SO much hair. Blonde hair of that quantity, that beautiful, that blended will cost you...but it's worth every penny. The whole team at ProHair are so lovely and feel like family when I come in year after year. READ FOR A BAD EXPERIENCE TURN GOOD. Has everyone here had only the best experience? I’m not sure how that’s possible because nothing in life is perfect. I did not have a good experience snd I don’t need to go into detail why because it does not matter what the problem was. The reason why I give 5 stars is because they corrected whatever the issue was. They send a text after each appointment asking for feedback. This isn’t a google review thing it’s their own personal follow up which comes right after the appointment is finished. They read that I did not have good experience and immediately I got a phone call. They called to talk to me about it and wanted the opportunity to correct it.. which they did. They have outstanding customer service and they truly care about their clients. I will continue to go back.

Had my eyebrows threaded by Shuku, she was able to accommodate me on short notice which I appreciated. Shuku was meticulous and made sure I was happy with the results. The brows were very clean and even. The cost was $25.99 at time of posting, which is fair for the location in my opinion. Would return again!

I can whole heartedly say: by far the best barbershop in Toronto.
1st. Location: industrial area, which makes this spot a hidden gem. Very unassuming from outside, but very warm on thr inside.
2. Aesthetic: warm, inviting, vintage countertops and mirrors brought in from Chicago, waiting area is comfortable and almost gives off a cigar lounge vibe and most of all.. CLEAN. very very clean.
3. Service: 1 word, Consistent. Michael is a master at his craft, talkative yet engaging. Also ensures you give you what you're looking for. It doesn't feel transactional like these other barbershops.

Update for my review: tried something new, Helen helped me choose a magnetic cat-eye colour and I LOVE it! I used to be a nail biter, but since coming here my nails are so nice looking and strong :) as I get different styles I'll keep updating them here, really happy with the service here!
I got nail extensions with a biogel manicure three weeks ago and just had them filled, both times by Helen. I was hard on them and swimming a lot, yet not a single nail chipped or came off in those three weeks! The place is clean and they are all so very nice, as soon as I finished my first appointment I knew this was my go-to place!
Requested style: I wanted something that looked thinner and more natural, and Helen definitely delivered - multiple people thought they were my real nails!
Cleanliness: No nail filing dust in the air etc, smelled cleaner than other places because they have good airflow

I found Maki through Yelp. Her stellar reviews and talent in creating such beautiful designs made it a reliable choice. I felt comfortable enough to book Maki to do my bridal nails close to my wedding without working with her before. I was lucky that she could accommodate me on short notice. Usually, she's booked out in advance and takes new clients rarely. Pre-booking with a deposit is required. So if you can get your nails done with Maki, do it! I gave her a few designs I liked, just a classic simple French manicure with white floral designs. She added some extra detailing and her spin, like pearls to the middle finger, to match my veil. I thought I needed to extend all my nails but I'm glad she gave me advice that I didn't need to as long as the nails are shaped well I can still get the look without discomfort after the event. We only extended one nail that was too short. She's located inside the Vermilion Medical Spa and rents a chair to work from. Green P parking around Elmwood Street and Yonge. Although the best way is to get there by TTC near North York Centre station.

This was my first time getting either a manicure or a pedicure, so I don't have a whole lot to compare it to, but Tina did the pedicure and I wish I was sure who did the manicure still -- Mye perhaps? They both did a very good job. I have to keep my nails very trim because of my workplace, and also can't keep them painted for very long, so I came in for just very basic services and yet I feel like they were just as careful as they were with clients getting higher end treatments. The manager also checked in on me many times. The price was quite reasonable as well.

I came here for a curly cut with Jonathon and it was the best my hair has ever looked! The previous few years I feel like my hair has lost all its curl and just falls flat and frizzy, and many other salons give me a gorgeous cut and it looks but, but I’ve always found it hard to replicate that at home. Here, Jonathon gave me an incredible cut and showed me how to replicate the results at home, and his methods really work! I’ve never been able to give me hair this much volume and movement before in my life and I’m really shocked. Right after my cut, my hair was super curly and it looked like I’d gotten a perm when normally I can barely get it to hold a curl when dry. He did use a lot of product for teaching and demo purposes so my hair was quite crunchy, but he did warn me beforehand that he just wanted to show me what to do and how to replicate it at home with less crunch and more manageable curl. Overall I had a great experience and everyone in the salon was very welcoming and friendly. Highly recommend!

I got my lashes done (lash lift), tho it's my first time, Kim made it feel light as she made the whole experience enjoyable with a nice interaction, great conversation, and she's very accommodating. The whole place is clean, which is a plus point. Most importantly, my lashes were well done and looked great.

My artist, Alina, led me through the steps on getting my tattoo and how everything will be done and what she will do. She made amazing designs for me with adjustments that I asked for and made them look even better than the originals. After getting my first one I came back for seconds with how amazing everything went! I would give more stars if I could.

Stylist: Abril is a not only an incredible artist, she is very approachable and extremely professional. My youngest daughter got a tattoo on her ankle of birth flowers. Abril designed her an incredibly beautiful tattoo. It has great detail, is very delicate and pretty. I also got a tattoo of a weeping willow branch. It surpassed my expectations, I absolutely love it!

I engaged Ground Up for a major renovation of my house. The plan was to remove a single-story portion of the house, to rebuild it, and to move the kitchen into the newly-constructed portion of the house. Ryan and his crew were professionals all the way through. My house is old, and renovations on a building of this age always contain surprises. Ground Up was crystal clear not only about estimates but also about unknowns and surprises we might encounter. They were also extremely flexible about how work would proceed and collaborative about costs and options whenever a surprise came up. I hired Grand Building and Contracting to complete exterior renovation on my house and I am very happy I did. This is a family business that stands behind it’s word, Alex the father was the lead on my project.When I met Alex, I can say it was refreshing having someone be upfront and honest on cost, progress updates as the project was underway, and both Alex and Jason his son were amazing to work with. The finished product of my house looks amazing! My neighbours stopping me on the street to compliment me how beautiful my house looks. The renovation included the porch, new stairs and portico, stone work, siding, new flashing around the windows to create a uniform look.It took me many years to save up the funds to complete the renovations and I have had some issue with some past contractors promising you things but then not delivering or increasing the cost as they go along, but that was not my experience with Alex, the cost quoted is the price I paid. I just wanted to give a review of Truly Nolen in Cornwall. I have been having a carpenter ant issue for a while. I contacted Josh and he has been incredible. Quick to respond (i.e. always available through text); very knowledgeable (i.e. would explain the different measures taken); and finally able to find the carpenter ant nest under my window sill. I took the year package and it was well worth it for the major issue I have. Would highly recommend calling Josh if you have any pests in your home.

After the first conversation, I knew that this company was the one. Stefano was amazing. He came to our house and gave us the estimates for interlocking and laying down curb stones for both my neighbour and my driveways. He explained everything to us. After we agreed and did all of the paperwork, Dominic came by and dropped off all of the materials to do the job. Not only did Dominic bring the materials, he smooth out the driveway which was not yet paved and took away a bump which helped the flow of the water when it rained. The weather was not cooperating but, we knew they would get the job done. A few days later, the job was completed and we could not be happier. We recommended this company to our neighbours. We will definitely use their services again if needed.
It's been 2 years since we had the rehaul on our landscaping. Aryat and his team are very skilled and had great workmanship. Aryat was very helpful with meeting our needs and budget. We wanted to reuse our interlock to save some money, this doesn't always work out, but he made it work. He met us at the stone yard to help us select some of our product. This was just another way that showed his commitment to customer service! When problems arose he always gave helpful and cost efficient advice. The work was done on time and the site was always left clean at the end of the day. He came back to do some minor repairs when some of the stones shifted. I would definitely recommend Canada's Gardenland.

Our family loves “Dr. Don”! Don Ducasse has been our dentist for more than three decades and I cannot say enough good things about him and his staff. Aside from the top-notch dental care, Don and his staff are caring, engaged, thorough and careful. They never make me feel rushed and thoroughly address any concerns I may have. They genuinely care about me and my family. (Dr. Don even changed a tire for me once when I came out of an appointment and saw I had a flat.) Everyone at this practice is great. This was my first time going to a physiotherapist and I can confidently say the Madison clinic exceeded my expectations. The staff and physiotherapists were very helpful and professional - my physiotherapist in particular, Viatcheslav, was very polite, professional and greatly aided me in my recovery process. Would highly recommend him and the clinic in general. UPDATE: Had to go for another rehab session due to a new unrelated event with my back - received the same superb session as before! Can't recommend the team and Viatcheslav enough!
I was seeing a physiotherapist weekly for 3 months for chronic back, leg and hip pain. After each treatment I would get relief but the pain always came back. After 1 treatment with Dr. Shyu, I had instant and lasting relief. After 3, I was able to carry on with my regular activities. Dr. Shyu is thorough, knowledgeable and incredibly skilled at what he does. If you're not getting relief from your therapist, call Dr. Shyu immediately!
I am having an amazing experience at Total Health Chiropractic Center. Doctor Dinos was able to explain my condition no doctor could do before. I was depressed and had little hope, I thought I was going to be under Cortisone for the rest of my life, but with the chiropractic sessions I am receiving from Dr. Dinos I am getting my health back, he truly connects with the patient and his expertise makes you feel confident. Emily, the Health assistant, is always focused on patient care, makes you feel relaxed, and has excellent interpersonal skills.

I highly recommend Dr Payam for your chiropractic adjustments. Ever since my first assessment he’s been attentive to my concerns and has helped me feel my best. I’d experienced persistent back pain for many years and with consistent adjustments, I’ve had no issues. He is very kind and always remembers his patients despite the short amount of time we spend in an appointment together! He has given great advice for any out of the ordinary pain I was feeling.

Dr. Karthigan has been amazing in treating my injuries and helping through this process and providing all the tools needed to my long road to recovery. Dr. Karthigan puts is patient needs first which is very important as people nowadays go through the motions. It shows that he cares and has good character. Chris is the best chiropractor and physiotherapist I have ever seen! I’ve been to many, but none compare to him. In September, I trained Brazilian jujitsu and I got caught in a shoulder lock and I heard a couple pops in my shoulder. I could not move my shoulder or even shake someone’s hand. I went to see 3 different doctors and each told me I needed surgery, but under no circumstances did I want surgery. I went to see Chris and after the first day, there was significant improvement in my shoulder. With Chris’ knowledge and expertise in Physiotherapy, my MRI has shown improvement and a full recovery! After 3 months of physio, I am back full time at the gym. There is clear knowledge from Chris in regard to how the human body works, he truly knows how to repair injuries. Our boy, Jello, is generally easygoing but tends to get anxious in new environments, especially around water. The Groom Room has an introduction session called the Puppy Practice Visit, and we are glad we started with it. Last week, Jello had this meet-and-greet and this week, he went for his first bath experience in Canada.
Lori was amazing throughout the entire process. She sent us the updates and shared a number of videos of Jello because she knew we would get nervous at home, too, as first time dog moms. When we went back to pick him up, it was clear how much Jello already loves Lori.

Charity is the best. This is real deep tissue massage. Not a spa/relaxation massage! Charity is extremely knowledgeable and although it can be painful in the moment, I always feel great afterwards. Since I started seeing her regularly, I no longer experience migraines, and she is an integral part of my workout recovery arsenal. She's also friendly, professional and easy to talk to. Hands down the most effective RMT I've ever seen.
Miss Kim is very knowledgeable and correctly identified problem relating to my lat muscle and flat feet, which were affecting my posture and leading to stiffness and reduced mobility. Not only did she help alleviate my pain through deep tissue massage and cupping therapies, she also gave me stretching movements for muscle rehabilitation. This store was re-opened (but I don't know when). The place is clean, the environment is comfortable, and the price is very reasonable for the same area. The massage therapist who performed my massage was very experienced and had good technique and sufficient strength. It is not easy to find an excellent masseur in Toronto. Many RMTs only know theory and lack experience. After all, massage techniques cannot be practiced for a long time. Highly recommended place if you need authentic, experienced masseuses.

Thanks Vahn for treating my lower leg pain. Before the treatment, i was having burning sensation on my shins due to overuse. He told me that i am very close to having splint shins and helped loosen the muscles surrounding the bones of the shin. He also taught me exercises to help loosen muscles. Since im on my 2nd trimester, he was very careful not to put too much pressure on my lower back area and used some pillows to cushion my belly. I feel so much better after each treatment. I would highly recommend him and would go back whenever i travel back to Toronto. The prices here are quite affordable. They are able to do direct billing. However they currently dont have an online booking system (need to book via email, online live chat or phone)... I think that an online booking system will definitely help increase their business. I came in for plantar fasciitis, and they've been using laser, stripping, electric pulse, and massage therapy. Dr. Sasha, Suresh (for massage therapy), and Kevin are fantastic . I have been visiting this place since early 2024 due to back and ankle pain from long-term physical labor, and have been visiting this place continuously until this month. While receiving acupuncture, chio, and physiotherapy here, many of the places that were hurting have been cured. I passed my G2 test today and I had to share how amazing my driving instructor was! He was super supportive and always gave me detailed instructions that made learning to drive a breeze. Emily is a great instructor! She helped me clear both my G2 and G road tests. She is very clear and concise with her instructions and provides great tips on the day of the road test. If you want a driving school with a proven track record where you will get your driver's license AND get practical experience beyond passing the test, Sprint is the school you want! Yosef was able to push me to be an even more capable driver with his extensive experience and knowledge of the road.
Shabih is a really good teacher. An excellent, understanding instructor who puts you at ease. A true expert. With his help, I was able to pass my G2 on my first try, having taken several of his classes. I can highly suggest All Wheels Driving Training and Shabih because if a beginner like me who never driven car, can understand all the rules and clear all the concepts, it will not only help you to just pass the test, you will be expert driver.
REVIEW UPDATE (2024): If I could score Darren a 10/5 stars I would! Last week I got in contact with him to get a review class for my G test. We drove around the streets and highway and Darren was quick to point out what I was doing incorrectly or what I could be doing better (4 years of driving led to some bad habits). I ended up practicing on my own for the next few days and watched some YouTube videos regarding the Port Union routes. Took the road test yesterday and EASILY passed! Thank you Darren for helping me complete my driving license journey, and best of luck with your future plans!
ORIGINAL REVIEW (4 years ago): Darren was a great instructor! It was my second time to take the g2 test and I really wanted to get a good teacher that would help me pass the 2nd time. Here's an in depth review regarding my experience with him, in case there are others out there in a similar situation:
I initially had a bad experience with my first instructor from a different driving school. He would panic and raise his voice any time I made mistakes. Being asked 'What are you doing?!?', or 'Why did you do that?!?' multiple times in a loud voice every session made me not want to drive any more, and he always made me nervous driving.
I did some research online and found Darren and read the reviews about him. There was a lot of people that said he was a very good instructor and very patient. I decided to give him a call and schedule a review session a few days before my test. Right off the bat Ifound him to to be very professional, helpful, and understanding. Unlike my previous instructor he didn't panic. Instead of reprimanding me, he would explain to me why I shouldn't have done something and what I should do next time. Every mistake he told me was a 'learning experience'. Thanks to his method I learned how to drive safely.
After one review session I didn't feel as confident as I wanted to be coming into the test. I asked Darren if it was possible to schedule another session, and he worked his schedule around to allow me to get more practice with him. What I like is that at the end of every session he would always tell you what you were getting better at, and what things you need to work on. That helped boost my self confidence and at the same time made me focus on my weaknesses.
The day of the test we arrived at the center and It started to rain. I was VERY VERY nervous and anxious. Darren and I ended up getting into a conversation about things we had in common, and it helped calm me down while we waited. He assured me as long as I relax I would do well. I felt a little better when the tester finally came and I took the test.
Long story short I passed! I was still a little nervous during the test, but Darren's pointers and instructions helped me drive safely. We had a happy conversation on the ride back, and he ended up dropping me off at my work.
If you are someone who gets nervous during a test (or just driving in general), I would highly recommend Darren. You can tell he really wants you to pass and he does his best to help! All these 5 star reviews are a testament to that!

I am a novice driver with no road experience, I signed up for the 20 hr online/10 hr in car lessons. The online part was great in some areas and boring and repetitive in some, but not too bad overall. I enjoy managing my own schedule. My road instructor was Ahmed, he was patient and informative. He answered all my questions, repeated the steps for parallel parking until I had them memorize. He never changed his tone even when pointing out areas for improvement and I leave the car everyday knowing that I learned something new. He was punctual and we spent the entire two hours on improving my driving. Highly recommended. I enrolled with the Scarborough location.
