162-16 Union Tpke, Queens“I walked past this gym for roughly 5 YEARS convincing myself that I didn’t need them, that I know what to do, and that it’s a waste of money. Finally about two weeks ago (after several hospital visits and doctor’s appointments later), I walked in and made it happen. Yes, I know what but it never hurts to have someone there holding you accountable. Stopping you from stopping and giving up on yourself. The entire staff is amazing. Beginning with Kasey, who answered my call and took the time to answer each and every question I had. Jelz, is such a sweetheart. She also took the time to answer my questions and motivated me to join. The classes are continuous. Breaks are minimal but I love it. The longer the break the less I want to start again. The coaches will push you to your max but not injury. They are quick to correct your form and will ask several times throughout the session how you’re feeling. I love it. I honestly hate that I didn’t start 5 years ago. Oh and the class size is perfect. No more than 12 ladies per class so each class feels like a mini personal training session.“

He customizes a workout plan that is varied, exciting and fun. I just started working out with him a few weeks ago and already feeling good about myself. I do not feel judged nor sympathized but instead, encouraged and motivated, this is why I keep going. I have a long way to go but highly recommend you see him ?“

“I trained with Ira Frank at Atlantis for over 20 years until I recently moved out of state. Ira is a consummate professional and took the time to research, design and implement a training program to address my specific goals and needs. Whenever I had an injury (from other activities of course; e.g., figure skating, bicycling, hiking), Ira would tailor my sessions to aid in recovery and based upon the program of the physical therapist. He even attended one PT session with me (above and beyond!). I credit Ira's training with allowing me to do such extreme activities as hiking the Inca Trail in Peru, the Tiger's Nest in Bhutan, the Alps, etc., well into my 50's. Knowing I get bored easily Ira worked so hard to make every session interesting - constantly adding and changing the exercises. I looked forward to each session as the highlight of my week. I was so sad to leave Ira when I moved. It took some time but I finally found a trainer in my new state who works in a similar manner (he's respectful of and receptive to what I was used to at Atlantis - the very best!). As I am getting older and encountering various common health issues, I can't emphasize how important it is to work with a professional like Ira Frank. I fractured my femur in June. I credit all those years with Ira for allowing me to recuperate quickly and climb temples and Buddha statues in southeast Asia in December! I will always be grateful to Ira Frank and Atlantis for helping me to live life to the fullest.“

808 Union St, Brooklyn“I’m writing this from Australia, just over 9 years since I left Brooklyn. I was casually looking through Google Maps and was so happy to see this place is still up and rocking… this remains the best gym I’ve ever been to in my life and I’ve got many great memories of my time here! I’ve been to a ton of different gyms since moving back “home” to Australia but have never found a gem like Slope Fitness.I miss this gym so much! Great size, staff and atmosphere. Ahh the hours I spent here were well worth it. Join and you’ll see what I mean!So happy to hear it’s still going strong after all this time:)“

119-40 Metropolitan Ave Suite 105, Queens“I’ve worked with Kirk Lawes “King” at Circle of Trainers over 2 years and counting. It has been and still continues to be life changing. I am challenged with chronic health issues along with having had major surgeries and King has met me where I was at each time. He worked through my challenges using a whole body approach. We started with a cleanse, created a diet plan that’s checked, managed, and adjusted as needed, and combined with workouts that are modified for my particular needs to meet my goals. King is an intricate irreplaceable part of my well being team that’s as important as any of my medical specialists! I highly recommend his services if you’re looking to change your physique, health and life for the best inside and out!

He is not simply a workout buff who started training other workout buffs; he has a serious education in biomechanics and related fields and is a genuine expert who knows how to make sure you get a proper workout. He also is great at tailoring your workout to your particular goal, and adapts as he learns what does and doesn’t work for you. Very grateful to have found him.“

1086 Greene Ave 2nd floor, Brooklyn“Best trainer I've worked with - he tailors your workouts based on the physical activities that you do in your spare time, and he tries to promote holistic health unlike trainers that focus on just getting you sweating or lifting the highest number. I learned a lot not just about how to have good form when lifting, but also about stretching, overall habits (breathing/posture), and more. Also he's just a super friendly guy that grew up in the neighborhood; I'd consider him to be a friend as well as my trainer.“

732A Carroll St, Brooklyn“With in minutes of the first class of Yoga For Strong Bones, Jennifer showed me how to sit comfortably crosslegged with multiple props. I told her that I felt my investment was worth it with just that. She made me more aware of holding tension and releasing tension and breathing more effectively. She led us through 12 poses that are alleged, according to the NY Times, to prevent and even reverse osteoporosis. Jennifer brings her own special sauce by reading from a book of Rupi Kaur poems and creating a peaceful space that is calming to the nervous system.I am so appreciative for this amazing group of women that I share this experience with each week!“

175-25 139th Rd, Queens“My wife and I have been clients for over 3 years now. What we love about Jeff, our trainer at Maceus Studios, is his kind, courteous, and patient personality. You meet first Jeff, the kind and decent human being before you meet Jeff, the sculpted trainer. He motivates you with a courteous firmness to strive towards your fitness goal. He keeps himself informed in health and fitness so he can impart the most tailored advice specific for you. Moreover, his fees are very reasonable. He offers two for one packages for couples and training buddies. This not only helps offset the cost, but it provides motivation for you to be more consistent when you have a training partner to go to the gym with you.
The other trainers at the gym reflect Jeff's courtesy and decency even if they have their own personality and training style. But in sum, we have no regrets about joining Maceus Studios. Thanks to Jeff and Maceus Studios, we have become more consistently health and fitness conscious.“

Matt conditions his clients with positive reinforcement and care. Check him out.“
“Honestly the best Pilates studio I’ve been to in more than 20 years of attending classes on and off. So many Pilates classes I’ve attended over the years have felt like light exercise at best, but The Fit In’s are a serious workout that leave your muscles feeling it afterwards (and have even left me sweating one or twice).“

755 Ocean Ave, Brooklyn“I've been struggling with reintroducing exercise in my life. As a formal athletic person for the better part of my life -just recently, in the last 5 years, did i stop playing sports/ working out all together- it hasn't been so easy getting back into the routine of it all. Excersise is exhausting. That's where Luffy of PrimeTribe Fitness comes in. Not only is he knowledgeable on the subject of body mechanics and how to properly move and stretch, he makes that shit fun! Besides the cardio part of it, not my favorite part and definitely one of my weak points, I didn't even notice I was working out. I like how he switched circuits between workout, that kept it fresh. I would definitely work out with, and recommend, PrimeTribe Fitness to all who really wanna put in the work to improve their body. Pure energy.“
“Cool gym in Rockaway Beach. The machines crowd the floor a bit, but it is manageable and there is a separate room where one can do floor exercises. No screamers. Lockers and showers available, you bring your own lock and soap. And yes, you can safely drop the soap.“
