7400 Wisconsin Ave, Bethesda“I worked with Dan May at Ultimate Performance from Bethesda form December 2023-July 2024. This is hands-down the best personal training experience I have ever had. For the first time ever, I am at my target weight, and feel strong and fit. Probably more importantly, the trainers at UP teach you HOW to strength train properly, WHY different exercises are paired and how they differ, and prepare you to continue not just maintaining but continuing to build muscle in the future. You'll probably note that it is quite a bit more expensive than some other options. It is insanely expensive, that is true. But you get what you pay for. If you are ready to make a serious investment in your health, and ready to work HARD to get into the best shape of your life, then it's worth every penny. If you want someone who will just help you get in a bit better shape, but you aren't ready to work harder than you've ever worked physically, you're better off with a more conventional and cheaper option. This is not for the faint of heart, but if you're up to it you won't regret it!“

What sets Noel apart is his professionalism and his ability to motivate. He designs each session to be challenging yet rewarding, prioritizing correct techniques to prevent injuries, pushing me to achieve my fitness goals while ensuring that each session is not only effective but also enjoyable. His expertise and dedication are evident in every session, and I credit him for my consistency in sticking to my workout routine. Additionally, working with Emily, the gym's nutritionist, has been a game-changer. She has helped me adjust my diet to complement my fitness goals, including leaning out, building endurance, and strengthening my core. Her focus on creating a sustainable nutritional plan has been key to motivating me to stick to my fitness plan. Overall, I am extremely pleased with the personal training at Method Fitness. If you're looking to jumpstart or maintain your fitness and health goals, I highly recommend giving this gym a try.“

“By far the best workout in DC. I’m a Physical Therapist and have tried many workouts in the area, and not one compares to the level of expertise you will get with Katie, Burns \\u0026 Garrett. The programming is top notch - well thought out to not only give you a good workout, but to hit those muscle groups that are commonly ignored in other group workouts. They can easily help you modify if something is too difficult or if you are working through an injury. Big bonus - the community they’ve created is amazing. Everyone is welcoming and it’s a group you look forward to seeing every time you go to class. 10000% recommend!“

Bryan and Kylie have created a community that makes everyone feel at home while personally investing in their clients fitness goals.I have been training with Tucker three-times a week for the last nine-months. Tucker has a rigorous, but easygoing approach to training that creates a highly motivating, yet low-pressure environment. When I do have to reschedule a session, Tucker is always flexible and accommodating. Not only has my overall health, strength and endurance improved, but I have found the experience something I look forward to.If you are considering 1:1 personal training and want a well-equipped neighborhood studio setting, I couldn't recommend BC Strength more!“

The exercises are new every day and chosen for you (explained by a trainer if needed) so it really takes away the mental labor required to choose a workout plan on your own. The trainers are all very knowledgeable and kind, they really helped to keep me motivated. As a newbie I learned proper form for many exercises, now that I've moved away I rely on those skills to work out on my own. The only downside to 9round is that it is a high impact exercise, so if you have joint problems it might not be the best fit. But I went 5-6x per week for 6+ months and never had joint pain, so it works for some of us.The gym environment and owners are very welcoming to everyone. Overall it's a wonderful healthy space to work out in!“

I did 3 Tough Mudders with no injury and had the time of my life with friends.“

Clarendon Personal hit all these in just the first session and every session I continue to take.I am someone who can tend to want to slip off my fitness journey every now and then but with them… nope, they pushed-me, encouraged me, reminded me of what I’m capable of, and were so consistent with their communication in and out of the center, that I ALWAYS felt so welcomed and appreciated going to work out with them. My body thanked me each time after the sessions, even though I did feel sore and felt every body part being put to work …it felt amazing because I felt i was getting my moneys worth and felt like I accomplished workouts I wouldn’t of ever thought I would do. I walk out proud of myself and thankful to have found a personal training center that focuses on me and actually puts the personal to personal training.“

I love that they emphasize health in its entirety--including sleep, nutrition, stretching/flexibility, muscle growth, fat loss (if that's your goal) and even a positive mental health. Michaela, in particular, has been an absolute blessing to my health and wellbeing. She is always ready to adjust my workouts based on my ongoing injuries and soreness, and has even implemented more mobility work to help with my injuries. I began working with him when I was 8 weeks postpartum and he has been terrific -- always on time, motivating, and able to adapt exercises based on my needs. He has a ton of experience with women postpartum and understands how to adjust workouts accordingly (which is super important to avoid injuries) especially as a result of a c-section. He is extremely responsive and a pleasure to be around. He is results and goal oriented. I would recommend him to anyone looking for a personal trainer.“
