The programming is top notch - well thought out to not only give you a good workout, but to hit those muscle groups that are commonly ignored in other group workouts. They can easily help you modify if something is too difficult or if you are working through an injury. Big bonus - the community they’ve created is amazing. “I’ve known Doug for over 20 years now, and he’s been my personal trainer for 8 years in the past, when I started working out to lose weight after my pregnancy. I’ve enjoyed working out with Doug so much back then, that even after I’ve accomplished my original goals, I’ve continued my workouts with Doug because I was receiving so much more than I’ve originally hoped for.I’ve had multiple injuries over the last few years, and when I was told that I need to do physical therapy, I turned to Doug again. I could not think of anyone better to help me get back in shape on multiple levels. From my experience with Doug in the past, I knew that he has a lot of experience training people with injuries. I could barely move, and I could not even begin to think of working out, so I knew I had to reach out to Doug again. Doug is patient and incredibly creative when it comes to modifying the exercises. He was able to come up with a workout plan to fit my needs and that was double for me. And then Doug was there for me, supporting and encouraging me to take it one step at a time. After working out with Doug for 6 months, I slowly but surely got back on track in terms of my physical strength and stamina. I do not enjoy working out, but I forget about that when I am training with Doug. He is versatile and keeps me engaged, his repertoire of exercises seems to be endless. Plus, he’s got great sense of humor and a is an easy-going person. He is highly professional, punctual and respectful. Doug is my #1 choice!“

“I thoroughly enjoyed my experience at Dedicated Strength working specifically with Larry three days a week. Larry was very friendly, easy-going, dependable and knowledgeable about his craft. The gym itself is clean, well-maintained, and has a lot of great equipment. The skill level of lifters ranges from expert to novice and all are clearly welcome. I was completely comfortable in each of my sessions and the gym itself was perfect for focusing on the workout.It was a very pleasant experience and Joe and his team were very professional. Personal circumstances forced me to put a pause on my training, but the team was understanding and I will be back in the future.“

“Even when I broke my metatarsal and toe, and had to wear a boot, Carlos Dukes created an appropriate, challenging personal training session for me. I first worked out with Carlos in 2009, and have continued to learn more and to find more and more challenging exercises that made me stronger and enhanced my balance and stability. I have also taken his Kettlebell TRX, Kettlebell 1 and Core/Stability classes. He's built a community of people who take his classes and train with him. They have varying abilities and he trains older, younger, and in between aged clients. Carlos is always watching you; he notes how you're doing--what you might improve, how you're holding a kettlebell or working on the TRX. This means that he's very concerned about safety. You can work out with Carlos and know that you won't injure yourself, will proceed at an appropriate pace, and change your workouts so that you're always engaged. During our COVID 19 shutdown, he's providing zoom classes and training. So, you need not feel that you've lost your workout rhythm. Thank you, Carlos!!“

“Matt is a fabulous trainier and a wonderful person. He knows how to get you psyched and committed to taking care of yourself -he 's an excellent coach. He nursed me throu pre and post shoulder replacement in last 12 months and my recovery was superfast. Not even a year out and I have 95% of my mobility and strength back because of him. I am back to all my weight bearing exercises and ramping it up weekly! He's the best! The club members are dedicated and supportive. I work hard and I enjoy it immensely! Working out with Matt at True 180 is an integral part of my life!“

“When I first read about Classic Barbell, I was skeptical of three things: (1) barbell training in general, (2) the “semi-private” / small group style format, and (3) the cost of the membership. After training here over the past five months, I’m happy to report that my doubts have been completely dispelled. Here’s why:(1) Barbell training is the only physical activity that has ever produced any tangible performance benefit in my life. I’ve spent literally thousands of hours hours running, swimming, cycling, rowing, doing yoga, CrossFit, blah blah blah. They were time consuming, and at the end of the day - I still sucked at arduous physical tasks. Nothing has improved my athletic abilities more than barbell training; I even find myself able to swim faster / longer despite having largely given up that sport years ago. Oh and I almost forgot: the enhancements to my physical appearance have been far greater with barbell training than with any other activity.(2) The “semi-private” / small group training format has worked well because the coach, Danny, knows human performance like the back of his hand and is able to quickly diagnose and offer solutions to pretty much every issue that comes up during training. Danny is also extremely reliable; I have never seen him late or bail on a workout. He uses apps to help coordinate scheduling and programming - so workouts flow smoothly even when it’s a full house. Perhaps most importantly, Danny is a great people person—a skill that should never be underestimated! He knows how to make everyone feel welcome, seen, and how to motivate people to do their best.(3) Regarding cost, it’s expensive for me, but I think it’s worth it. Thanks in large measure to Danny’s skills as a coach, I’ve been able to overcome a training plateau that I was stuck at for years. The benefits of this improvement arevaluable to me because my work is physically demanding, but there are plenty of other intangible benefits, including improved self-confidence and mental health.Overall, I would say this is the best experience I’ve ever had in any fitness-related investment. If you want to learn barbell training, get stronger, look more athletic, and do it all in a friendly, welcoming environment, then I highly encourage you to start training at Classic Barbell!“
