83 Pine St #5, Peabody“Authentic karate was been amazing for my son. He has been going here for 3 years now and it has done so much for his confidence, discipline and strength. The dojos sensei and instructors really build the kid’s confidence while structuring class around being courteous and respectful. As parents, we drive in into our kids to always be polite and respectful. We love coming here where they have the same values and teach the kids the same ways. We would and have recommended to everyone interested in doing karate.“

16 Haverhill St, Andover“Sr. Master Landrum and the staff at ATA Martial Arts Andover are all fantastic. My boys love going to class and they learn vital values and skills every class. Sr. Master Landrum prepares all students (no matter the age) to act, perform, and live like black belts. All classes have a variety of students at different levels, and the staff is accommodating for all of them. If you are looking for an activity which provides exercise, development of core values & skills, and discipline… look no further! I believe they offer a 6 week trial class and they do birthday parties, too!“

“Steve Nugents karate Institute has 2 main karate schools or called "dojos", this one in Winchester and the main one on Cambridge Street in Burlington, Mass. They structure their programs around safety and awareness, overall respect, and good basic karate self defense skills. Their instructors led by Grandmaster Nugent are super trained, even in first aid and cpr, which I thought was excellent. They are super passionate and attentive toward their student and actually are quite caring, which I have never found in my searching for quality karate schools. Definitely check them out... I am very impressed !“

Kids, moms, and dads all shared the mat, showcasing a strong community-based gym. ADAS clearly fosters a welcoming environment passionate about BJJ as a whole. Their instructors were extremely hospitable, making everyone feel right at home. The facilities were super clean, which is always important.
If you're looking to train BJJ in Peabody, I highly recommend this spot. I heard great reviews about ADAS, and they truly live up to the hype. OSS!“

“I researched karate dojos around the area for my son and enrolled him in the trial program at Keefe’s Martial Arts to see if he will like karate. He loved it. Sensei John does a wonderful job with the kids, he holds their attention in a participative, energetic, and fun way. Over time I saw my son - and the other kids too, transform. They gained self-control, skill, and confidence. During Covid, I highly appreciated that Sensei John provided online classes as well as outdoors sessions. It was safe, no one quit, and no one got sick. The kids learned to strive for normalcy when nothing else was normal. Kids build character at KMA.“

As a parent, I’m grateful to have Master Hung teach my kids Tae Kwon Do and Self Defense. He has a unique way to motivate his students to become a better version of themselves. From the beginning of their journey to today, they have developed confidence and are disciplined. Importantly, they have become stronger as a person physically and mentally. Master Shin has been nothing but caring and kind, as well as supportive and honest. Even after I have taken a bit of a leave from his business he still continues to help me to this day. MGM Plaza, 1721 Main St, Tewksbury“The Self Defense is much more than a five star martial arts institute. My daughter has been involved with martial arts at The Self Defense Institute for over nine years and has enjoyed every minute. I have the highest respect for the wonderful and skilled schools instructors and their programs. Training at The Self Defense Institute has been been a positive influence in every aspect of my daughters life. The values of respect for family, striving for academic sucess and the actual self defense training have been invaluable to her. I could not possibly list all the ways that TSDI has positvely influenced her life, but through her years of training just to name a few, she has learned patience, compassion, self control, confidence and perserverance. She will carry these skills (as well as the memories of her friendships formed and her respect and gratefulness for her Shihans) with her always. I dont believe there is a better martial arts acadamy out there. Kudos to TSDI“

Sensei Nathan was excited to teach and his level of enthusiasm trickled down to the smallest white belt.“
“Lemme tell ya the best class ever! I went for the first time to punch out about a month ago and I go every Monday & Wednesday. The energy of the staff and sensei are so supportative but you walk out dripping sweat. I was always so nervous to do a class but I felt comfortable right away, I joined Sensei's karate class as well. The class works for every one! sensei makes it easy for you to adjust to harder or easier workouts based on your ability. I'm so happy I found this class I live all the way in Medford and it's totally worth the commute I recommend this work out studio for anyone and everyone, you belong here :)“
