Cervizzi's Martial Art Academy Martial Arts Schools

“Cervizzi’s Martial Arts in Lynnfield is Amazing. They teach more than just self-defense techniques and many of the benefits extend beyond karate.Students learn discipline, self-respect, self-control and confidence. These are benefits from instruction, effort in a structured environment. Post-covid-> the dojo enhanced their teaching offerings to include online learning as well as thoughtful in-person classes (limiting class size, taking temperatures, wearing masks, and cleaning between each class). Cervizzi’s Martial Arts in Lynnfield has been the one consistent activity during Covid and it is a testament to the dedication of the instructors and staff. Our daughter has been going for 4+ years. We saw how much she was growing that our son joined for the past 3+ years, and to make it a family bond, I joined 2 years ago. I have witnessed each of our growth. One annual tournament really stuck out to me. Our daughter entered a competition for weapons, forms, and sparring. Before the forms event, she had to speak in front of the judges (and about 75+ spectators). I felt nervous for her but the crowd didn’t impede her one bit. She remain focused and executed her form flawlessly. I share this specific moment because it is another benefit beyond classes: the ability to practice, practice, practice, execute and compete. We highly recommend Cervizzi’s Martial Arts Academy!“

“There is no other place like Authentic Karate! Sensei Chip and Mr. Andrew are outstanding leaders and role models for children. I first enrolled my son when he was 5 years old and his little sister started at 3 years old after watching him for several months. My kids look forward to karate and look up to Sensei Chip and Mr. Andrew. I don't think you could find any dojo like this one! I love seeing my kids grow mentally, socially, and emotionally through karate. I also love that young adults/teens are involved in teaching the younger kids classes. Sensei Chip is also a great resource for parents navigating their kids through school and the problems that arise. If I could give 10 stars I would!“

“Lemme tell ya the best class ever! I went for the first time to punch out about a month ago and I go every Monday & Wednesday. The energy of the staff and sensei are so supportative but you walk out dripping sweat. I was always so nervous to do a class but I felt comfortable right away, I joined Sensei's karate class as well. The class works for every one! sensei makes it easy for you to adjust to harder or easier workouts based on your ability. I'm so happy I found this class I live all the way in Medford and it's totally worth the commute I recommend this work out studio for anyone and everyone, you belong here :)“

“Steve Nugents karate Institute has 2 main karate schools or called "dojos", this one in Winchester and the main one on Cambridge Street in Burlington, Mass. They structure their programs around safety and awareness, overall respect, and good basic karate self defense skills. Their instructors led by Grandmaster Nugent are super trained, even in first aid and cpr, which I thought was excellent. They are super passionate and attentive toward their student and actually are quite caring, which I have never found in my searching for quality karate schools. Definitely check them out... I am very impressed !“

“I’ve been taking the remote kickboxing class since April. I really don’t know what I would do without it during this pandemic. Deborah watches me so I don’t want to slack and I keep my intensity up. She is great with instruction and does the movements with us. I need this accountability! Without this class I would be distracted and not get a good workout in. Deborah is really knowledgeable about fitness too so I feel I can ask her questions and she will stear me in the right direction.“

“On September 29, 2022, at 54 years old, I made a commitment to change my life by becoming a Harmony Arts student at BMS. I walked into BMS with a physically weak body and an exhausted mind. I was not sure what to expect but I felt drawn to be there. As I struggled to learn to walk again without severe pain, I found passionate and patient instructors, and nonjudgmental fellow students. I have gained strength, skills, and confidence. This summer, between June to September 2023, I jumped off a 20-foot high cliff into the water in Puerto Rico, hiked a mountain in NH, climbed up and then down 500 steep steps in Ninh Binh, Vietnam, and trekked 9 miles through slippery mud slopes in Ha Noi, Vietnam to visit remote tribal villages. "A journey of a thousand miles starts with a single step." Thank you BMS for helping me to take that first step.“
