“The service and professional services should not be overlooked. I normally go to Discovery Vision in Western Wyandotte and this place was so much better and not near as expensive as the Discovery Vision. I tried to make an appointment with Discover and they said August. That was four months. This place took me that day and treated me with sincereness and professionalism. Every time I walk into Discovery Vision I feel as if the staff makes you feel that it is a privilege to be there and that they are better than you. I believe they need to step down off their high horse and take a visit here and learn some customer service. I give them 10 stars out of five and will definitely come back. Great Job- Way too shine⭐️.“

“I originally choose this place because I wanted to support a local Brookside business and I've been very pleased with their services. You might have to jump through an extra hoop for insurance reimbursement compared to some of the national chains or network providers, but their exceptional service definitely makes it worthwhile.I wear both contacts and glasses. The contacts they recommended for me are the best I've ever had. They spent more time considering which line of contacts were most suitable for my vision problems than any other optometrist that I've been to.Same for the glasses as well. A great match for my vision problems. I got an expensive pair of lenses and then somehow manage to scratch them up 9 months later. I took them to get repaired and I was expecting to have spend hundreds on a new set of lenses. But they recognized that they were still under warranty. They handled shipping them to the manufacturer and then they were ready for me to pick up a week later...all at no extra cost to me.I really appreciate service like that and they definitely earned a new long-term customer.“

“You will see unbelievably low prices advertised on TV for glasses. In my opinion, the short answer is you get what you pay for, but since your eyesight is better with even a bad fit and less than optimal lens material, you may not know how much better it could be if you relied on a professional fit and lens selection from a good optician.My budget certainly isn't unlimited, but enjoying the benefits of optimal eyesight is very important. I've learned from experience that unless you've had a professional optician help you with selecting and fitting a frame, selecting the right lens material and then ensuring the placement of variable focus lens in the frame is perfect, you may be missing out on more than you realize.In my opinion, Joe Bergman is not only one of the nicest and most thoughtful people I've met in a long time, he is also one of the best opticians in the KC area. He recently helped my wife and me select frames that are suitable for facial shape and optimal lens material that would provide the best results for our prescription. He then took time to measure exactly where the lens should be positioned in the frames after they were uniquely fitted to our faces to ensure optimal eyesight at all distances. In my most recent annual exam, the imaging / Dr. LaFerla caught something of concern. She took the time to explain my need for glasses and convinced me to try them vs. having readers everywhere. The progressive lens are equivalent or better to the readers and to my surprise, the distance lens is an improvement to around 20-15 vision, vs. the 20-20 I had without glasses. She's personable, professional, very competent and a whiz with the computer stuff.“
