“Dr Stuart Machida has always been amazing in his care, knowledge, patience, determination, and thoroughness. He takes the time to explain everything. This gives me the understanding necessary to follow through with required treatments and note any regression or progress. He has so thoroughly examined my 103 yr old mother that he has discovered problems that a year of appointments with an ophthalmologist failed to uncover and therefore failed to properly treat, prevent further damage, and/or resolve. There are a number of problems in trying to examine the elderly. The ophthalmologists have made superficial attempts to examine my Mom with their instruments because she simply is too bent and frail to "fit" their machines. However, Dr Machida did not give up, and because of his firm determination, he was successful in doing a very thorough examination within understandable limits due to my mother's physical limitations. He truly is an amazing human being and doctor. His staff, through the years have been exceptional in their service to us. “We completed our routine eye examinations with our opthalmologist who gave my husband a new prescription for his eye wear. Amazingly, his vision has improved, well, slightly improved since his last prescription just two years ago and he also wanted to update his eyeglasses style. Fortunately, we recently received a promotional flyer for 50% discount of lenses with purchase of new frames and decided to check out the inventory at this LensCrafters location. Unlike the main store of LensCrafters in the Ala Moana Center, we found this Macy's site to be cozier, less busy and offering more personalized attention. We met with Christopher, one of the two friendly and experienced sales representatives, who assisted my husband in finding a frame to fit his face shape and personality. Afterall, getting the proper fit and style for eye wear is not only for function but can be looked at as fashion or style accessory. While my husband browsed the displays, Christopher showed him several frame colors and styles from different designers as well as the latest arrivals. It didn't take too much time before my husband spotted a frame style and color that he wanted and would be comfortable with. Chris held onto the prescription while measuring and fitting the frames and lenses on my husband's face. Once Christopher completed the fitting, he processed the transaction and then cleaned my husband's current glasses and replaced the nose pads. Chris even took the time to adjust my non-prescription sunglasses, which were "out of whack" because I had stupidly thrown them into my purse without the case, and it got jangled and bent with its contents. So, now, we're waiting to pick up my husband's new eyeglasses, and we're thankful for Chris' friendly professionalism and expertise.“

“I needed an eye exam in order to get a new set of eyeglasses made (my prior prescription was six years old and I hadn't visited an eye doctor since having them made). I was referred to Dr. Inouchi by a trusted friend and am delighted I acted on that friend's referral for three main reasons:1) Attention to Detail- Dr. Inouchi was thorough in her examination. She took her time to ensure all aspects of my eyes/vision were healthy, which let me know she is passionate about what she does and truly cares about her patient's wellbeing.2) Education- Dr. Inouchi took the time to explain to me what she was doing throughout the examination and why she was doing it. This gave me a better understanding of my own eyes and enhanced my comfort with the overall process.3) Kindness- She was really nice; simple as that...Additional benefit- the staff member (Alexis) who serviced my pre and post examination was also very thorough and kind.I wasn't planning on purchasing my eyeglasses from their office because I already had my frame and figured I would just get my lenses made at Costco. But after the wonderful experience I had, in addition to learning they offer Hoya lenses (which are really good per the research I've done), I decided to have my new eyeglasses made here too. Can't wait to get them and know they will be amazing!“

“I have many issues with my eyes: cataract surgery on both eyes. I have corneal issue as well.. Dr. Jeff Wong has been my eye doctor/surgeon for many years he is professional, efficient, and an excellent doctor. He listens to his patients when they have questions or concerns. I have just had a follow up laser procedure, which is quite common. All went great. I would highly recommend this practice, including their optometry department for your eye care needs. They are the best!“

“Rachelle at Costco optical deserves 5 stars or more if I could! I walked in on 4/16 in the evening and she greeted me warmly and went above and beyond trying to see if she could get me a cheaper price on contacts bc our federal insurance couldn't cover it. I mentioned I didn't mind paying the $66 but she somehow got it down to just the taxes under my husbands account.
