“I had the pleasure of meeting Pat Kapowich in Sunnyvale during unpleasant circumstances. My beloved uncle had passed away after a long and productive life. I travelled to his home in Sunnyvale to do what I could to help my cousin with clearing his home and dealing with his estate. This proved to be a daunting task with only 3 "senior citizens" of the family available. When I arrived I was introduced to Pat who I found to be a very cordial and pleasant man. He was diving headlong into helping with all the tasks we had in front of us. At first I assumed he was a friendly neighbor or hired help. He was lifting, carrying and hauling away things for us. A real hard worker in my eyes. Shortly, I found out that he was a local realtor that was to assist in the sale of the home. Now I have met many realtors and have never seen one get dirty and dusty and making available his own van to help with the cleanup. Not only did he help immensely with the physical work, he was invaluable in navigating the many twists and turns of settling an estate and preparations for sale of a home. In the 3 days that I was present he had contractors, inspectors and appraiser's all lined up and ready to go. All of this was well above and beyond what a normal realtor would have done. He was kind, respectful and an excellent guide to the family's situation and interests. He was not interested in being pushy for the quick sale of a valuable property, but a methodical, sincere advocate for the family. In today's world of the "fast buck" he was truly a breath of fresh air! I left my cousin in his capable hands knowing that he definitely had her best interests at heart. Lastly, I went away feeling that I had made a new friend. You just don't find this kind of businessman anywhere, anymore.!!
