“If there are more than 5 stars to rate this company, Oliver Heating and Air (Vinnie and Dee team) surely deserves more. 2 weeks ago, before this excessive heat felt all over the Bay Area, specially in Tri-Valley, they were able to replace our AC. The previous estimate and recommendation from another heating company was to replace both the ac/furnace at same time (18 year old units), where with Vinnie's assessment, we only need the AC. Vinnie and Dee saved us tons of money. They came on time, was very respectful of our property, explained the whole process, they are the best contractors we have met! No wonder they are fully booked! “This review is a bit overdue; however, with the 2024/25 winter season upon us now our family really appreciates Chris' professionalism, responsiveness, industry experience, and ability to navigate a crawl space to repair the older gas floor furnaces of our Oakland home built in1939. Our previous maintenance visit was Sep 2022. After being dormant for the spring/summer months we were pleased to have the floor heaters start the first time. We plan to schedule a maintenance visit in the next few months. As another reviewer stated, it is challenging to find an experienced HVAC professional to competently repair and keep older equipment in running/safe condition. Chris is very knowledgeable, efficient, resourceful/timely with locating repair parts, and we really appreciate his ability to clearly explain next step repairs/costs to schedule the work. “t's a rare pleasure to find a company managed by a highly experienced owner who truly cares about the work they do and has a top notch team to get the job done to the highest level. We installed a state of the art fuel pump system with two zones, both with hospital level HEPA air filtration added for when there is smoke in the air. We have a 1930's home with very small crawl spaces which made this project very complicated. We also didn't want to see any of the typical heat pump units in our house. Artisan needed to run duct work throughout the house. Other highly recommended competitors said "it can't be done". Well, Artisan showed that not only can it be done but they did it seamlessly. Also, the little things, they carefully prepared the house each morning and wore booties and went the extra mile to make sure everything was done at the highest level. They also did all the permitting and paperwork to allow us to claim rebates for the work done which is helping offset the initial cost. They also texted us everything morning to confirm their ETA. In short, they did everything to make this the best possible experience for us. We couldn't be happier and highly recommend Artisan Air Heating and Cooling.“

He was here within 2 hours and fixed air conditioner. He was very nice, informative, and rates reasonable. I would strongly recommend his services!!“

“During the recent heat wave my heat pump stopped cooling my house, so I scheduled an appointment with Smart repair. Lurii came out on time and diagnosed the problem. He came back and fixed the problem, and also did a return visit to fine tune the remedy. I am very happy with the results and look forward to working with them again if needed. Highly recommended.“

“There is no one better than Don. Simply put, he's the only one in the business I trust. He's not going to B.S. you into spending money on something you don't need. I had two different AC companies this past summer tell me I needed a new furnace and AC system because I had leak in my system. Cost would be over $20K. Don came over and found a small loose gasket which was leaking gas, which somehow the other two companies missed after being here four times , and possibly even intentionally caused (I was also charged over $1K to refill the puron gas multiple times). Don had a gas detector that didn't pick up any other leak. Net net, Don saved me at least $20K which I'll be forever grateful for!!“

His work is clean and the new outlets he set up for us have completely solved the problems we were having before. He was communicative and stayed flexible even when we changed our original plans. He easily fixed the problem and also helped with my thermostat.I wanted to upgrade my thermostat to a WIFI one and the previous electrician had no idea how to re-wire it.
