5818 Mission St, San Francisco“So, I am fairly new to glasses. My first pair were progressives. They seemed to cause me more problems. Needless to say, I lost those and the second pair. It wasn't until being introduced to this kind, knowledgeable doctor that I understood why I needed TRIFOCALS!! You see, these can cause dizziness and headaches when adjusting to them. This was not explained to me. It is because of this that I continuously took them off. This is why I kept losing them. Dr. Dumalao explained what was going on with my eyesight and what the glasses were actually "doing". So, I am determined to wear them so that my vision can be as close to normal as it can be. It was a pleasure to actually understand and feel heard!!!“
“I went for an annual eye exam. It had been a couple of years since my last exam. As a woman in my late 50s my vision (which was 20/20 for most of my life) is changing rapidly. The optometrist Dr. Teresa Wong) asked me about my current experience with my vision, glasses, etc. She listened very closely. During the exam itself, she was very detailed and thorough, more so than any other exam I have experienced in the past. She worked diligently to provide solutions for my evolving vision issues. She also encouraged me to ask questions along the way and answered them with patience, expertise, and professionalism. I was very impressed overall and told her so. A great experience. Thank you!“

“Dr Dagron and staff are just wonderful! Dr Dagron was so great at explaining my eye condition that no prior clinician has done before. I highly recommend him for his expertise and patient care.“
“I had a smooth visit after another optometrist in the area messed up my contact prescription. Dr. Brian was really nice and attentive. He took the time to answer all my questions and address my concerns. The staff were also super friendly. I had some trouble getting through on the phone at first, but since I live nearby, I just popped in to make an appointment. Everything went smoothly from there.“

“For years, I've been a devoted customer of SEE Eyewear. I first frequented their Union location, but since its closure, I've become a regular at the only remaining store in SF, conveniently situated at the Palace Hotel. SEE's glasses are crafted in small, distinctive batches, ensuring each pair is truly one-of-a-kind. What truly sets SEE apart is their exceptional customer service. The staff, particularly their optician, Dave Bell, is a superstar par excellence in customer service. Over the years, Dave has guided me to numerous pairs of perfect glasses for me, always eliciting questions like, "Where did you get those?!" It's a run, don't walk type of situation folks. Oh! And they get new glasses in every month, pretty cool!“

59 Clement St, San Francisco“She was so kind as to move up my appointment when I was in an accident on my bicycle where I learned a new phrase "getting doored" and ended up with broken glasses. Although her schedule was packed, she was able to see me the next day and I think she ended up working over time to finish up since towards the end I'm pretty sure I heard her tummy growling so maybe it was past her dinner time? Julie is so kind and caring it was great to come back to her practice after over 10 years when I had moved out of the area.“

490 Post St STE 1609, San Francisco“I have to say it was the most traumatizing experience of my life losing my eye. DR.Danz was very professional and made me feel right at home. It was a tedious process, but the man did a phenomenal job and knows exactly what he's doing. I got a scleral shell and it couldn't have come out any better. It looks real!!! When I look in the bathroom mirror it looks like my old eyeVery natural looking. I have no idea how he did it, but all I gotta say is Hallelujah!!!!“

Her sister Sandy (who manages the office) is also wonderful to work with! They've been my go-to for contact lenses and glasses for about 10 years.“

2786 Diamond St, San Francisco“I recently visited Dr. Lee because one day, out of the blue, I developed a troubling issue with one of my eyes. I was quite concerned that it was something very serious. I called my doctor's clinic only to find that the wait to see an ophthalmologist in my medical network (UCSF) take weeks if not months. My only option, I was told, was to go to a walk-in clinic or the emergency room, in either case I would be waiting hours for an on-call ophthalmologist to show up. Then it occurred to me to see my optometrist - Dr. Carrie Lee. She saw me that very same day (a Friday), and I can only imagine she had to really juggle her schedule to squeeze me in. In the event, she was able to identify the problem. It was bad, but not any of the terrible options suggested by Dr. Google. Later I emailed her (on a holiday) with a question about the application of a treatment for an unrelated issue. To my surprise she responded with the answer in about 5 minutes (!). Dr. Lee is a treasure who really cares about her patients.“

100 1st St Ste 145, San Francisco“TLDR: Came for my first visit a few days ago and had a wonderful experience! I really value when my health-related offices pay attention to the details of patient care, and Dr. Leon and her team here did that for me this week. Also, I love that this seems to be a mostly (all?) female team! More in-depth thoughts here: 1) Was super easy to schedule an appointment online and I didn't have to call in or anything. After I scheduled an appointment, I got helpful text messages reminding me about my appointment and requesting the appropriate documentation. 2) The two women at the front desk were very nice as I checked in and were helpful with providing all the answers to the questions I had. 3) After standard, preliminary testing of my peripheral vision etc, I met with Dr. Leon for my eye exam. She has a very warm and calming persona that made me feel comfortable to be there, and she answered all of my questions with thoughtful answers. I felt like I was in very good hands, which is always something I care about deeply when trying out a new doctor for the first time. 4) I appreciated that Dr. Leon made it a point to make sure all the equipment was freshly wiped down before I put my face and eyes to it. This is the perfect example of attention to detail. 5) Finally, Dr. Leon was extremely thoughtful about recommending a new type of contact lens for me. Instead of just recommending the latest model, she thought through what I said about my eyes now, what I would need to remedy that, and what would be the best next step for the future (the NEXT time I buy contacts), and recommended something slightly different while explaining her reasoning. I really appreciated that. Details!“

414 20th Ave, San Francisco“Finally, an optometrist who solved the mystery of two pairs of eyeglasses that were unwearable. I usually wear contacts so I blew off these eyeglasses that did not correct my vision correctly. Years later, dry eye developed so out came eyeglasses. He figured out how my glasses were incorrectly made, even though the prescription was somewhat appropriate. Dr Chong explains eye conditions well and he's enthusiastic about really helping his patients SEE WELL. Highly recommend.“

My visit made me feel right at home with her soft approach to my eye exam. I received free trial contacts to try and they have a nice selection of stylish frames for glasses. I definitely recommend her practice if you're looking for an optometrist or looking for a replacement. I have been with her for over a decade.“
