Great news! Lakeside Optical is a great little shop with an IN-HOUSE Lab! So if you need glasses from one day to the next, and sometimes the SAME DAY, they can usually get it done!! It's a tiny place, with a kind proprietor, Emmanuel, very patient and soft spoken, and very professional. Easy parking nearby. It's on Ocean just off 19th Avenue. I highly recommend this tiny shop!

Wonderful! I tried this place out based on the reviews and was not disappointed. My previous optometrist had irregular hours, was expensive, and sent glasses out to have a new prescription put in, meaning I would have to always have a back up pair of glasses for both my computer and my bifocals. It gets pretty expensive. Emmanuel does his own work in house, so you might be without your prescription for at most a day. And he is very responsive and keeps customers informed. I am also very impressed with Dr. Han. I tried to get contacts through my previous optometrist but could not pass "contract training". I.e., I could not get the contacts in or out of my eyes. Highly recommend, very quick, friendly, and efficient service. Will definitely be coming back here for my glasses needs. Came in for a repair, and will be returning when I'm due for new glasses!
