We were able to iterate through a huge amount of work with her in a few weeks and quickly get to approved plans.Our home was built in 1908 and we wanted to maintain historical details during our renovation. MHR has excellent craftspeople on their team who worked with us to match moldings, cove ceilings, and other details, so that the new work seamlessly blends into the existing conditions in the areas of the house where this was a key priority for us.Overall, we were happy with the timeline of our project. MHR was onsite every day making steady progress and did a great job of scheduling and coordinating the various trades (plumbing, electric) to avoid delays.In terms of finishes and follow through, the team was great. They diligently worked with us to quickly close out our punch list at the end. Where there were any details that we requested be reworked they were fully responsive and accountable and made sure we were completely satisfied with the finishing details before we considered the project wrapped up. The follow through at the end to make sure the details were right was a standout part of the project for us.Overall, we know we made the right choice in working with MHR and would highly recommend them if you’re planning a renovation in SF or nearby.“

Emergency patch jobs performed have been a lifeboat more than once for myself and others with patching being installed prior to predicted massive downpours giving much needed reinforcement until a new roof could be installed. Northen Pacific is very busy and scheduling is based on commitment to quality, so your roof will be installed when prior commitments have been addressed. The Northern Pacific Roofing installation crew has been together many years and the craftsmanship is shown in their work. Their intention is to install a quality roof with high quality materials. If flashing or plywood needs to be addressed it is. Northern Pacific is not the least expensive option but remember.. You get what you pay for! Best Roofing Construction Co. S.F., or Best Roofing out of Oakland which were one of 15 different contractors who actually gave estimates and then tied for the top three for value, experience and reviews. Having been a construction worker for over 20+ years and a general B contractor, Best Roofing Construction Co., which is based in Oakland ca. with representative Ella Pak., was by far the best value. Best Roofing Construction co, and the representative Ella Pak installed the roof and gutters that is and looks fabulous we could not ask for any better construction, very experienced installers made a gorgeous house possible. We choose Best Roofing Construction Co. due to of the top three companies (which happened that all three where within a thousand dollars of each other) Elle Pak’s proposal used heavier plywood, better roofing options and was willing to help us find and install exactly the gutters to match existing style of structure, new shingles, and the existing gutters with down spouts. Ella Pak arranged for early delivery of Gutters/downspouts so we could prepare for the construction as well. Not one other roofing company even was close to offering acceptable much less cost effective solutions. Ella and her crew which were a pleasure to work with and all where exceptionally, polite, respectful of property, courteous to all, and punctual every day. Ella Pak as the crew always asked questions, gave advice, had insight on optional solutions, and notified us if any issue presenting a problem, or potential problem in a very timely manner. In addition even though construction was more extensive Best Roofing Construction Co. completed the project before the deadline given and at the proposal price, and never tried to increase cost as other companies by their particulars in contracts had planned to do by omitting key issues. i.e. plywood rating, tear off of existing roof layers, disposal cost, omitting plywood in the proposal all together, and the formula for additional hourly rate for repairs unseen like dry rot. “My contractor had hired Marin Roofing four years ago when I was remodeling part of the house. The rest of the roof was original from when we purchased our home in 2007. I wanted to install solar panels so I wanted to replace the old section of the roof before moving forward.I had a very pleasant experience. Rick was amazing to work with. “These guys are in high demand because they're true professionals who do a great job at a reasonable price. I think the company has been around for almost 100 years so you know you're not signing up with a fly by night outfit that's going to do a shoddy job. They do book out pretty far but unless you have an emergency and need a roof replaced asap, don't you want a roofing company that is in demand? It means that contractors and other tradespeople respect their work. So if you can plan ahead and schedule your roofing job in advance, these guys are great.“

“Mark and his crew did quality work on the restucco of our house, as well as building us a new "good neighbor" fence. They were thorough in both their work and communication. The only issue I had was that there ended up being a lot of change orders, which led to budget bloat. The changes were well explained and professionally completed, so ended up not being a big issue.“

We unfortunately chose McLeran, who never supported their work or warranty, which ultimately led us to Aussie, who helped us get what few remaining years we could out of the drippy nightmare McLeran gave us. Finally this year we had to call time on the patchwork and get the roof done again. Aussie was the only roofer we considered. Not only did they do it right, they worked with our solar provider to install our stanchions, and with the last week of horrible weather, I'm happy to report it's the first time since we owned the house that the roof has no leaks, and according to the previous owner, it's the first time since the early 80s the chimney has not leaked. I can't recommend Aussie more highly.“

“In this winter of crazy horizontal rains, all the other roofing companies I contacted were telling me they could come out in 2-3 months to look at what was causing the brown spots and cracking in my ceiling. 2-3 months! But Westco gave me an appt 10 days out. Tim was prompt and efficient and honest. The flashing around the eyebrow feature (and other piping) hadn't been done correctly, and water was seeping in. On the other hand, I am planning a second floor addition in the next year, so it didn't make sense to to do a full-blown re-do of the flashing, so he advised I get a handyman to use sealant as a stop-gap solution only, until I can get the (20-yr+ old) roof replaced during the addition construction. I wish all interactions with contractors went this well.“
