“I could not love A bark Idea more. We have done a few stay including board and train the first time. The team did such a great job with our puppy that our family joked that they gave us back the wrong puppy because this one was so well behaved. It gives me peace of mind and calms my guilt of leaving our dog know that she’s being very well taken care and is so happy at A Bark Idea. I love the daily photo updates and seeing my dog so happy with all her friends at A Bark Idea. There is no other place I would trust to care for our dog.“
“They did a great job, my dog is happy after three hours of serviceThey took photos and videos during the bath, haircut and spa“
“I have known Alex for several years. He helped me with my last dog. I was just exasperated with Ben. He chewed up my furniture twice and was just a wild child! After taking Ben home to work with him he came back a changed dog. Most recently, Alex took my little Frenchie pup into his Board and Train program. He has a way of working with dogs using positive reinforcement and love. He also gives the owner the tools they need to continue the training at home. I would HIGHLY recommend Alex and the Dogfather Institute for all your training needs! Whether you have a problem dog, or just want your dog to learn some manners, Alex is your guy. I don't mean to sound like a commercial, I just really believe in what he does!!“
“10/10 RECOMMEND
Professional - Knowledgeable - Reliable - Friendly
Like many dog parents going on vacation is difficult when trying to ensure your pets are well cared for in a loving and safe environment. TIFF provides just that and more!
TIFF pet sat my 3 small dogs ages 16, 15, 3 from 9/1-9/9 in her home. She had a comfy dog bed set up, fresh water bowl, and toys ready to welcome the pups. Her complex has a fenced in courtyard where the dogs can easy sniff around and get some exercise. Very nice neighborhood for walks too.
TIFF put my worries at ease answering all my questions at our meet and greet prior to their stay. She even went the extra mile and visited the pups at my home a few weeks before so they can get more familiar with her.
While I was out of the country we received text/photo updates and a video call. Unexpectedly there was a heat wave and could sense how well she was handling the situation and making sure the dogs were as comfortable as possible considering the circumstances.
We are thankful to Tiff for providing such great service and will book again.“
“I cannot put into words how grateful I am for Toya, Kevin, Mel and the whole crew at Love Ur K9. I brought my stubborn, energetic, freakishly athletic bulldog puppy (who I wouldnt trade for anything) with leash reactivity in and they never gave up on him (or me). They are patient, kind, thoughtful and tenacious. They worked with me on a variety of strategies tailored specifically to my dog and his needs. Could not recommend them more.“
“We have been apart of the VCA Kennel Club family for almost 10 years! The team does a great job taking care of our boys.I highly recommend the aqua therapy for water loving dog.“
“I have nothing but good things to say about this place! Dr. Streiber has been fantastic in helping us navigate our cat’s health issues and continues to show us how much her cares for his patients well-being. It really sucks to see your pet in rough shape, but having a place like this makes it easier knowing your pet is being properly taken care of.“
“Show Brook is an amazing home to beautiful horses. Shout out to Britney for making my little one feel like she was on top of the world. Britney you are awesome!!! The animals are VERY well taken care of and loved by not only each rider, but by all the staff. Lisa and Britney were so welcoming to me and my family. The other riders there encouraged my daughter as she seemed a little nervous in the beginning. I am so excited for my daughter to start her equestrian journey here!!! Thank You so much again to Britney, Lisa, Chloe, Nacho, and everyone else that made Laylah's first day special!!!!“
“I can't believe I never wrote a review about my wonderful experience with Stacie! It has been about over a year and half since our last training session. I have a now 11 year old dog named Shin-Shin who we got as a puppy and was not trained properly. He was aggressive towards every living thing that wasn't a main family member but I knew he was a sweetie inside and wanted others to experience his kinder side. I took 8 training sessions and while he may not be perfect being as his old habits have stuck a bit, he's much more manegeable. My partner, who doesn't live with me, has admitted that he's like a different dog now. Before Shin-Shin made my partner nervous and always looked ready to attack but can now cuddle with him. It takes a lot of patience and observation to understand a dog and surely a lesson learned for any future pets I may have in the future. Stacie was so easy and friendly to work with utilizing positive and fun reinforcements only! She truly cares about the wellbeing of the relationship between the dog and human. Would go back to her in an instant if needed, highly recommend!!!“
“I have a large, sometimes dog aggressive, Akita. Due to this it is hard to find places for her to stay. All star pet resort has been my go-to kennel. Yes, it is bare bones but don't let that scare you. Each dog has an indoor/outdoor private run and it is a great price. My dog is sooo happy every time we arrive because she loves all the people that work there. Melinda at the front desk knows her by name and we always feel welcomed. Thank you All Star for always taking care of Kodi!“
“Worth every Penny! We were in over our heads with our 1st puppy (Frankie, a Whippet). Taking her to The Puppy Academy was the best decision for us! Not only did I know she would be closely watched and cared for the entire day, I could see the results in her behavior at home within a couple weeks. It's a commitment. If you put in the work outside of class and commit to their practices your pup will transform before your eyes. We were extra thankful for their owner sessions within the program, which help you become more confident in your at-home training & reinforce the work they do. When her 1st 36-ish sessions were coming to an end we asked about additional classes and to our delight they accepted her for 24 more sessions of which she (we) really benefitted. I only wish we enrolled her sooner!“
“Visited this location yesterday. I was confused as my vet said my dog needed to have grain in her diet. After speaking with a knowledgeable employee, I realized that wasn't true. I appreciated her knowledge and explaination of why that wasn't true. I was there to purchase Ziwe Peak dog food and she assured me it was a good choice. Highly recommend this location.“
“The staff is always kind and caring and very helpful, and the printed previews of potential costs and reasons for each is exceptional.“
“This is a great place to take your dog for playful exercise, day of play or boarding. All team members are skillfully trained and pay 100% to detail of all dogs on property. Highly recommended for dogs of all types.“
“This vet is wonderful. Many friends who move away still take their pets here regardless of long commutes. I feel lucky this is in my neighborhood. Always able to find solutions to problems, listen to concerns, and if they aren’t open direct you to competent ERs. Highly recommend.“
“Would give no stars if I could. Not helpful at all. Was told that a trainer would call us to set up private lessons. Two weeks later, we have heard nothing. They were pushing for us to use board and train. My husband refused.
UPDATE: I would like to thank Leticia and Mario for reaching out to us after reading our review. We met with Mario, who did an evaluation on our GSD, and was told that he could start with the intermediate class. We are two weeks into classes, and our dog is doing well. His behavior has improved, and I was shown a couple of things to help me better control him and his reactivity. Thank you, Mario and Wolfgang, for helping us.“
“Nice friendly and great with my dog. I like to come here and my doggie doesn't mind either. I come here often.“
“Not sure why it this place doesn't get a higher rating, we really like it. We just got a little puppy and this is the go to place for us. The staff are friendly, knowledgeable, and helpful. The store is well stocked, clean, and spacious. In addition to the retail space, they also have grooming, training, pet hotel, and pet hospital! Tip: the grooming folks recommended us to get the Puppy Guide, it was $20 (in a locked storage that you need to ask them to get for you), and it has all kinds of coupons and free services. We started saving with things we needed right away. Parking: never a problem, easy access on both Hawthorn and Sepulveda. The Petsmart on PCH is pretty good, also, but much smaller and depending on where you live, it's a little harder to get in and out.“
“The trainers are very helpful and understanding. I appreciate their time and patience with our puppy. He improved immensely with their help.“
