“Healthwell PT Rafaela is a knowledgeable, kind and physical therapist. I went in for rotator cuff pain which flared up whenever I moved my arms in certain positions. Rafaela showed me several exercises I could do to strengthen the area around it. Once I started doing the exercises regularly, the pain went away, however if I slacked off, back it came.
Rafaela also helped my knee pain. She watched my walk down the stairs which caused the pain and figured out how I could alter my walk in such a way that the pain wouldn't flare up. She always gave me several exercises I could choose from. At each visit, she would review the exercises with me and ask me which ones worked for me. My shoulders and knees are much happier now that I know how to keep them moving without pain. I highly recommend Rafaela and the PT staff at Healthwell.“
“I'm so glad that I found Renew PT! I feel so reassured here, Nicole is an expert at what she does and makes me feel confident that I can trust the plan she puts me on. The PT has been working and I feel better equipped to prevent future injuries as well.“
“Dr Lin is one of the most knowledgeable and patient physical therapists in the area. His team is also very friendly and helpful. Highly recommended!“
“I had gone to 3 other locations in the past for PT and I was so lucky to find Renew PT in Oakland. The 5 star reviews are all spot on and was so relieved to have this gem with wonderful staff in the front and PTs who are so thorough and excellent in assessing and providing effective exercises that really made a difference. The work space was very clean, not crowded and was a pleasure to go to. I liked that the exercise routines were easily accessible with video links that demonstrated the correct way to do the routines. I had Jeff and Lena for my physical therapists and both were great. I would definitely return to Renew if I needed rehab PT in the future.“
“Incredible level of care and comfort :) will be back for another massage with James soon !“
“I couldn't be more happier picking Emily for my PT needs. I came to her after doing PT from other locations, but I didn't feel my wrist was any better for climbing. - Flexible on scheduling, I saw her five times every 3-4 weeks, with a focus on home exercises, which was exactly what I was looking for (and I graduated when we both felt it was time). Note that her exercises targeted my wrist issues more closely than the generic ones I've been given from insurance covered PT and online sources - She was very familiar with my body type, as she worked with dancers and paid close attention to my hypermobility - Even though I went to her for my wrist, we were also simultaneously able to work on my right shoulder rotator cuff (which I completely forgot about) and my left ankle. Other PTs (at least with insurance) wouldn't provide this level of attention. - Able to climb while rehabbing! She provided a very specific climbing regimen, which was fantastic for accountability - Looked over climbing videos and helped correct my form (since climbing caused my injuries in the first place) In three months, I am back to projecting again, and she has given me a solid foundation to continue my climbing and non climbing goals. I wish I had seen her first, would have saved me six months of time. Highly recommend Emily, especially if any of the above resonated with you.“
“TJ and Sergio at Belden PT are awesome. They helped me get back from a torn ACL and MCL. Very personable and caring, clean shop, and great service. Would definitely recommend.“
“Onsight is on point! Great space, amazing staff! Dr. Cheng is welcoming, knowledgeable, professional and responsive! Highly recommend Dr. Cheng! Thank you!“
“Amy and Iris are the two PT's that I've seen at Back to Life Physical Therapy; they both are very knowledgable, and thorough in their explanations and guidance. In addition to their abundant knowledge in the specific area of pelvic floor, the extra care and time they put in to really listen, understand and then instruct me have been what distinguishes them in the field of physical therapists. I have improved since starting to work with them (a year ago). The office is kept clean and neat, and is full of natural wood, natural light, and includes a library of pertinent material. Colleena, the receptionist/office manager, is a wonderful and personable and efficient part of the team. I highly recommend this practice.“
“I look forward to my session every week because I feel so much better afterwards. It keeps me aligned and aware of what's going on with my body. The staff are helpful, good at what they do, and friendly. My stress level comes way down. The facility in Napa is pleasant, spa-like and peaceful. If you have AARP/United Healthcare Medicare supplemental insurance you can get 4 stretch sessions a month through Renew Active, their wellness program, at no charge. One of the better perks of getting older! I want to thank Aryaveer, Etni and Bella at the reception desk for taking such good care of me!“
“Dr. Cohen & the team at Innate has genuinely saved my life! If I could give ten stars, I would. I have Hypermobile Ehlers Danlos Syndrome (hEDS), and I could not ask for a better chiropractor. I have tried many practitioners who could barely keep me walking, and Dr. Cohen was able to get me out of support braces, stuck in bed most days in pain, and now I am dancing on my feet again! He is not only an excellent chiropractor, but also an incredibly kind, empathetic, and caring person who treats my chronic full-body condition with a gentle, effective, mind-body-spirit approach. The combination of chiropractic, PDTR, NET, and everything else that Dr. Cohen uses has been so effective. The other practitioners I have seen, Dr. Jen, Dr. Furda, Kenny Givens (massage therapist), and Michael Huff (orthobionomy) are all also very excellent, knowledgeable, and kind. Kenny Givens is my favorite medical massage therapist and I always come out of my appointments feeling better! The front desk staff is fantastic as well, Randi especially is so sweet and helpful. I recommend Innate to literally everyone I know, especially my friends with Ehlers Danlos Syndrome & other chronic conditions. Thank you so much to everyone at Innate for significantly improving my quality of life!“
“I’ve worked with Dr Jess on several injuries related to long distance running: knees, feet, and ankles. She has always been able to help me get back to the sports I love quickly. In 2019 I had to take 10 months off of running due to injuries. Nothing I could find online was working for me and it didn’t get better with rest. I saw Dr Jess in early 2020 and she helped me identify and treat my IT band syndrome. I finished the year with over 1k miles and by 2022 achieved a long standing goal of mine to run a trail 50k in under 5 hours. What I like most about her approach is that she really teaches you how to improve form, strength, and flexibility on your own with exercises that I found easy to follow after the sessions.I will definitely see Dr Jess again if I have problems in the future.“
“Rebeca is a treasure. Her healing energy goes beyond the tension relieving benefits of massage to help rewire the nervous system to experience peace. She weaves together many branches of embodied knowledge to offer holistic healing, which is clearly her calling.“
“Dr. Kristin is a gifted diagnostician and genuine healer. After carefully assessing my problem, she developed a customized plan that we amend each week as I make progress. She's an excellent communicator. The office staff is likewise efficient and accommodating. I highly recommend this practice!“
“I have had eight sessions with Joe at Hayama Osteo-Therapy, and I cannot adequately express my gratitude for his expertise, wisdom, and gentle care. My issues have never felt like quick fixes, and yet I feel great progress. The pain throughout my body and the cramping in my feet are gone. I have had a lot of bodywork in my life, but nothing really did the trick until I came to Joe for fascia work. I have enormous respect for him as a healer, and the brilliant method he has mastered. Each week I leave the calm of his office awestruck and happy...already looking forward to the following session. I have not felt this consistently good in years. Joe and Hayama Osteo-Therapy have my highest recommendation, and deepest appreciation.“
“The facility is clean and large, has lots of light, provides sufficient space for privacy, has well maintained equipment, and is located in a scenic area. A bonus to working out in the gym is the beautiful view of the Aquatic Park recreation area.“
“I was referred by UCSF Endometriosis Center to Janette for pelvic floor physical therapy following a laparoscopy. I had been in constant, chronic, and debilitating pain for over 2 years, which impacted my overall quality of life. Janette's individualized approach and expertise allowed me to feel relief the day following my first appointment. I noticed going from irritable and agitated due to the pain, to calm and present in my body. This was the first time I had felt like this in over 2 years and I became hopeful for my future. Janette validated my experience through her understanding of the latest endometriosis research. Janette provided manageable exercises where I was able to see progress between each session, which kept me motivated. I feel safe, seen, and held throughout this healing process by Janette's kind, calm, and present demeanor.“
“I was referred to Bayo Vista from a friend who had a great experience with Karen. I had Karen for my intake appointment she made me feel very comfortable with the pelvic exam. I have been working with Emily for all of my other appointments and she is WONDERFUL. She looks at your whole body and works on all parts holistically. I felt silly to point out my knee feeling stiff in one appointment as it wasn't the major problem spot. Emily looked into it and wow, did she make a difference! I felt like a new person. I had assumed that this knee would always feel that way after I had ACL reconstruction 7 years ago... but I was happily proven wrong! All appointments are 1 hour and you really get focused time with Emily or Karen. They are out of network with insurance, but I would still highly recommend them due to the quality of care you receive. Emily and Karen also have been very supportive of my bringing my baby with me. It was very comfortable to bring her and we took breaks as needed for nursing/holding. Thank you for being baby friendly, especially when a mama just needs some physical therapy love postpartum. :) Erika is also their billing and administrative ninja. She is so on top of sending out superbills for insurance the day of your appointment and booking appointments for you. I really appreciate that Bayo Vista uses text messages for booking appointments or their online system. I would highly recommended Bayo Vista!“
“I’ve gone to Kevin ,off and on ,for about 15 years . I went most recently for sciatica. Kevin was able to alleviate my pain in a few short visits . He is so personable , professional and kind . I would also like to say that the girls at the front desk are also great . I highly recommend Kevin’s practice to anyone looking for a chiropractor.“
“Jeff at Movewell is amazing. I've seen other physical therapists and he was by far way more thorough and knowledgeable than my previous therapists. Strongly recommend if you are a cyclist, runner or swimmer. Seriously, don't hesitate, you'll thank me later!“
“I've been coming to Maggie for months now and have had a noticeable improvement in my hip openness and back discomfort. She's an excellent listener and teacher - helps identify and focus on specific areas for treatment during the sessions and teaches stretches/exercises you can do at home. Clean studio and relaxing atmosphere.“
“She is amazing. I am doing some deep transformative work with a Chiropractor and she recommended I meet Sasha, and I'm so glad I did. Rolfing is changing my life. I can walk with more ease and confidence. I feel better in my skin. Her technique, commitment, communication, and care is appreciated. I feel like she is truly passionate and cares about what she does and that her heart is in it. Grateful to be on this journey and have her as a tremendous support. Thank you Sasha!!“
“Deena is a real healer. The combination of her impeccable knowledge of anatomy and how your body truly works with her experience and intentions to heal are truly wonderful and worth every moment and dollar spent.Often people work with a PT in emergency circumstances or recovering from an injury, but you may consider also working with her not in a time of crisis to improve your ergonomic relationship to whatever you do in your daily life and get tuned up! She’s wonderful and I can’t say enough good things, highly recommended.“
“Dr. Rabbetz has been part of my trusted care circle for over a year. What I appreciate most about Dr. Rabbetz is how thorough he is in diagnosing a problem and the follow up care to check in on how I'm doing. For example, when I came to him with leg pain last year, he determined it was in fact a tear in my hip and sent me to the best hip specialist in San Francisco. I needed surgery and coached me every step of the way, and was very involved in my recovery. His positivity, encouragement and care has gotten me through countless ailments (including neck and wrist) and I'm so thankful. Thank you Dr. Rabbetz for your healing powers, your wisdom, and for being YOU!“
“Edie is the Sherlock Holmes of PTs. Don't expect a run of the mill assessment and standard exercises. Edie goes deep in her evaluation, bringing decades of experience, education, insight, and wisdom about how our bodies perform, and she then works with you on solutions that actually work for you and your lifestyle. She does all of this with grace, patience, compassion, and humor. Best of all, she LOVES what she does and it shows.I went to Edie with a laundry list of flat feet, persistent lower back pain, tendonitis in my wrists and elbows, and massive neck/shoulder lockup with chronic headaches. Edie took one look at my feet and said they're not (structurally) flat, they're just flexible and weak, but the good news is that we can probably fix them. In just 6 weeks my gait has improved and, with it, my posture. I no longer wake up aching and stiff. My headaches have cleared, thanks to Edie's bodywork (yep, her approach to healing is holistic and she doesn't just do PT). And, I never thought I'd say this, but I love the exercises she gives me. They make me feel so good during and after. Edie's studio is like the ultimate playground. She has all kinds of equipment, props, and tools that she puts to full use to find personalized solutions for you.Pro tip: Don't hold back, be honest about your habits and how you live, so that you can benefit from Edie's work. I love to hang out in bed for more hours than the average cat and I knew it was adding to my already existing back pain. I was afraid Edie would tell me my bed is now off limits, but instead, she set me up with the right support pillows and here I am, writing this review pain-free from guess where? :)“
“I have had occasion to use El Cerrito Hand Therapy over the years (my wife and my daughter have also had PT here) and my most recent experience was because of ongoing arthritic pains in both wrists, hands and thumbs. While I can 100% recommend *all* the therapists here, my special thanks goes out to Katarina Kantor. She is just amazing: soft spoken, gentle and all the while being professional and thorough in her treatment plans and care. Kat provided graduated steps to get my hands back to not simply functional, but pain free. I cannot say enough positive things about Kat. The entire staff, including the wonderful front desk staff (thank you Katie for always having a smile!) are welcoming, friendly and they really care about you as a patient and client. So, if you are looking for a physical/occupational therapy team for your hands or arms and are in the East Bay, this is your spot.“
