On the very strong recommendation of another PT who had moved out of the area, I went to see Steve Ryan for reverse total shoulder replacement post-op physical therapy. Steve is simply the best, most knowledgeable, competent, straightforward, compassionate, patient and organized physical therapist I have ever worked with. The written instructions and (excellent) videos for the prescribed PT exercises are available the day of or 1 day after your appointment. Steven Ryan is a masterful diagnostician and careful, respectful physical therapist. I have visited him for several discrete problems over the last few years and he has never disappointed me. I feel well taken care of! I don't see you you could err in taking advantage of his skill and focus. I have seen several different therapists over the last ten+ years in Oakland, and he is the best hands down.

Steve Ryan is a Master of Diagnosis! When I went to see him, I came with a general list of treatments from my orthopedist. I was having difficulty articulating from where the pain was initiating. Steve was able to drill down and pinpoint the cause of my hamstring pain. It wasn't a simple problem. He carefully explained in detail every step of my treatment and execution plans. The software he uses to illustrate take-home exercises is easy to understand. He is timely, professional, personable and extremely knowledgeable. He clearly is dedicated to overseeing his patient's success. I give him an A+!
