Though we initially focused on strength and power, I have gotten so much more from him and our training. He implemented plyometrics, mobility, sprints--to name a few-- to help me become an overall better athlete on top of my original goal. His vast knowledge, professional experience, and unique variety of equipment and exercises has expanded my own knowledge and definition of training. I am now closer than ever to my desired weight/goal, and the work we have put in in the gym has shown direct results on the basketball court. I can jump higher, am more explosive, and overall, stronger and more well-rounded. I came to Jolin for a few specific goals, but have gotten so much more out of it. I'd highly recommend him to anyone who is serious about training and willing to invest in themselves with someone who loves to train and understands a wide multitude of clients and their needs/goals.“

The other two weren't bad, but I didn't feel that I was progressing as quickly as desired. A friend referred me to Body Solutions, and I am so thankful!. Julie truly has magic hands! I have a rare issue (TOS), causing severe issues in my arm, chest and shoulder and recently had surgery. I was scheduled in quickly and the staff is incredible! The owners Julie and Ish, and the entire Staff, are welcoming and extremely knowledgeable. The other patients are recovering from a myriad of surgeries and injuries. They are very busy, and all work as a team to support the patients. I have been going for 5 weeks and have major improvements. I will definitely return for future injuries.“

I was drawn to Pamana Kali because they had online classes and they take a well-rounded approach that includes practical application, art, and culture. Guro Alvin, the founder, is a patient teacher that emphasizes practical application. He focuses on fine tuning simple techniques that work in live scenarios. He also structures his lesson plan in a way that facilitates neuroplasticity by constantly introducing new motor patterns during the exercises. This makes class a challenge after a long work day, but it's good for the ol' noggin! Kuya Eli is the instructor at the Long Beach location housed within Kubo LB on Atlantic Ave. The classes are small, which leads to lots of helpful individual attention. We mix it up and practice kali, silat, illustrisimo, and more. Kuya Eli is on the younger side and teaches with enthusiasm and humor, making the learning environment playful as well as challenging. However I opted for VIP because it offers a more personal one on one training. Erwin is a true professional in every sense of the word. Got to know me asked me questions and set up a plan. He is very patient and educates me as I work out on why I should avoid certain habits or foods and how to be a healthier person overall. Some of the things he has shared just resonate and when I'm trying at home it's like a light bulb moment, like aha! this is why! Erwin is a top notch trainer, not like the ones you see taking pics and posting selfies and videos while they're "training." Prices are reasonable for the excellent service and attention you get!. I highly recommend!“
