This was the best experience I could've asked for. Eber and Bob (I think his name was Bob) were very polite and incredibly patient. My booked time was originally on Tuesday, but I was unable to follow through. They were kind enough to reschedule me for the next day and were very understanding.
Even after my estimate, I added a few things and their prices were very reasonable. I'll be using their service again and I'd recommend them to others as well.

One of the many things I love about being a Chico Native, is that I'm constantly pleasantly surprised by treasure troves of new shops that constantly pop up. Even House of Fades, while not new, certainly was new to me. Being a Local Guide gives me an opportunity to share such places with everyone else. Let me answer the biggest question? Do they cut.... whatever your fill in the blank is, they provide the service. It's not just that they provide the service, they have a lifetime of experience. This is one of those little shops that you find while trying to get a haircut real quick, and end up a lifelong customer. My stylist was Pam. I can't say enough good things about this woman. Besides the amazing fade, she was the most pleasant person to talk with. I've always heard stories about Hairdresser's being peoples therapists. I'm fairly confident Pam should have charged me. Lol. I had an awesome experience. I was more than happy to come out of pocket for the cost of the haircut and a nice tip. Please tip your stylist. It's the right thing to do. Make sure you go to the right place, it's dead center in.the strip mall across from Happy Garden, next door to the thrift shop.

This is our first time at Danny's. I'm sitting here while my two sons get their hair cut. The vibe in here is just cool. I see how the barbers take great pride in their work. And, we will Definitely be coming here again and again! Plus we got in on the same day. Not sure if that is typical but seeing the number of chairs, it's quite possible.
Wasn't looking for a barber, since i'm new to the area. Always feels a little risky sometimes going to a new barber but man this place rocks. Believe it was Latoiya who cut my hair and she killed it, 10/10. Ran me through the process of how she was gonna cut my hair and helped explain a reference I showed her. Highly recommend.
Cut was shorter than I asked for, I have thinning hair in the front and it made me look terrible. Also put some nasty product in my hair but never asked me if it was okay to use. The guy was friendly and polite but I am guessing it’s not the guy someone referred me to because his haircut was great. Also for 30$ he should of trimmed my eyebrows and ears. He did one ear just a bit and totally overlooked the other ear. I would recommend that people are very clear about what they want. One last thing and I hate to say this, but did I get lesser treatment for being a minority in the shop? I am not racist and have respect for all humans, one of the reasons I went into a all Hispanic barber shop. I have to say! those are some really cool benches!!! and the shop atmosphere is good!!!
It’s been about two weeks now and my hair actually grew out really nice, so that’s a positive thing at least. It’s always easy to judge quickly and possibly realize things may not be as bad as you originally thought.

Lily and her crew do fantastic work! Whatever nail idea I ask for, Lily never says "I can't do that". I get dip powder manicures and have never had a single issue. Pedicures are always awesome. Most recently I got lash extensions. They are natural and beautiful; not to long or fluffy! They don't even hit my eyeglasses when I blink. I love my spa days at American Nails & Spa.
Came here for the first time today for a gel pedicure and gel manicure. Prices are a big higher than I’m used to but honestly worth it. The experience was great! Nice small quiet clean salon. Been getting my nails done here for several months now, never had any issues with lifting or nail breaks!! She always does an amazing job and I get lots of compliments on my nails!! Worth waiting if they are busy as it is a small salon. Making an appointment is not necessary but good if you don't want to wait very long.

My favorite place to go to get my nails and toes done. I drive from Oroville just to come to OPI. They are always nice to me and my daughters, they put cute pictures on my daughters nail and fixed them when they accidentally bumped their wet nails.

I haven't been to Tammy's since 2009. And all I have to say is she still does an outstanding job and work for all her clients. Granted there might be a wait and most male workers beside herself on weekends or in general but things still get done and they provide great work even when you have to wait a little. Some others on Sunday would probably disagree with me but I owned a salon before and I know how chaotic some days are. Especially week of graduation was most likely way it's was bit of a wait.
Got right in they also didn't take long and jack was really fast and the nails turned out amazing the place was very calming overall amazing location and design with talented people.

Jennifer was fabulous! I treated myself today with a facial, and she gave me one of the most pampering and relaxing facials I have ever had (and I’ve had a lot!) She had so many extra touches that made it special,too many to put in my review but there were candles everywhere and a hot foot bath aroma therapy and massage of neck,shoulders,arms/hands and feet! It was perfect and it was such a good time! Shes very knowledgeable about her profession and explains things very well so that you know what is going on and helps you understand what your options are. We discussed doing some other services and I will be going back next week to have some derma planing done,and I’m excited to try her lash extensions as I like her approach to them,as she makes sure you understand the service and the maintenance as well as doing things in a way that will keep your natural lashes in good health. I took a handful of cards to give to friends,and I can’t wait to go back!

First off, Megs is such a lovely person. She’s incredibly kind and very knowledgable, not to mention works some serious magic! I didn’t even think eyebrow lamination would work for me because my eyebrows are uneven and sparse. If you are worried for the same reason, trust me, book an appointment with her. I was blown away by how my eyebrows looked after she was finished. It was like they quadrupled in size! I had them tinted as well, and they looked perfect! Everything from the shaping, to the tint, to the perfectly manipulated directions of every hair, was gorgeous. It’s very rare when you go into an appointment, hoping for the best, and not only are your expectations met, but they far exceed what you could pray for. They eyebrow goddess most certainly did that. Incredible experience at Hidden Veil! The shop was one of the coolest places I’ve gotten to hangout in. All of the artists were incredibly friendly and inviting. I was offered snacks and a show but chose to admire the amazing art and oddities throughout the store. Tanner took my ideas and put them together in a way that complemented the elements of the tattoo and my anatomy while keeping it aesthetically pleasing. He used his expertise to help guide me in deciding placement and elements of the tattoo. His vibes were immaculate! He is so happy, positive, supportive, and enthusiastic. We talked the entire time he tattooed me and became fast friends by the end! He was thoughtful in drawing my design; taking into account all of my requests and was so efficient when tattooing me! Before I left he gave me thorough aftercare instructions and he even took the time to discuss placement and size for my next tattoo request so I could begin planning. Very light atmosphere for all your body work needs. It is a "hole in the wall," pun intended, bodywork shop. Run by a chico local for over 4 years and counting now. Very easy going and ready to sling some ink for sure. Alley tats is where my work is done if you are interested here are some pics. I would give this a 5 star if I wasn't such a prude. One of the best and easiest experiences for anybody wanting their first ink or seasoned cartoon characters wanting to fill in the rest of their skin!

UPDATE: This year 2024, our very old house in Linda needed a lot of plumbing issues to take care of. We needed a toilet seal replaced, kitchen sink unclogged, bathroom sink unclogged, our shower drain was badly clogged. ABLE had to go under the house, replace & redirect the piping. I have had great service from Able Plumbing & Electrical. I have used them 4 times in the past year. Each time they were great! They installed a new toilet, unclogged a sewer line, cleaned, and got my @ 5 year old water heater back working, and most recently replaced an old shower valve (not the shower head) that no longer worked. Every plumber, especially Mike and Bryan are very professional and friendly. Able uses very experienced technicians. They were very informative with a number of options for me to consider. I will not hesitate to call them again. Thank you Able! In addition, This month Jan 2017 we had a very difficult kitchen sink clog. Over the past years there was a build up of grease that finally needed to be taken care of. Kyle C. came out very promptly. We have a very old house about 70 years old. It has some older plumbing that makes it a challenge. Kyle C. figured out want to do and got the grease and debris out of the line. We have had Watkins do work for us several times. Today they came to replace out pressure control valve for the house. I called them first thing this morning and they were here within an hour. We had a few plumbing issues, including a leak under the kitchen sink and a failing spigot. I called for a free estimate, and the next evening Bob stopped in and delivered. Two days later the work was completed efficiently and within the estimate. We were given the option to select the kitchen faucet, so we chose a Moen popular model. Pleased all around.

I wasn't sure who to go with at first i was very neverous finding a good Electrician for my home. I called R W Electric and he made me feel safe and that I was in very good hands. He came out and install my ceiling fan/lights in four rooms also put my ring cameras on and took his time making sure it was clean and no cables hanging loose. We were in a bind before a big heat wave here in Chico. Not knowing who to turn to, we messaged Captain Todd's. They were upfront about their costs which were very reasonable. I called Bio Kleen on a bit of a whim to ask about area rug cleaning for our shag area rug. Ended up making an appt to have our house cleaned too. And I'm glad I did! Our carpets are clean and refreshed, and all I can say is Wow about the difference between the tile and grout of our kitchen and entryway floor before and after they were done. So much cleaner! We had a water leak and needed new flooring throughout our house. We had been living on concrete for a month and wanted it done right away. Based on a friend's recommendation, we contacted Bigfoot Carpet. Nick from Bigfoot came out the next day to measure the area. Two days later we had installers at our house putting in the flooring. We went with vinyl plank flooring. The installers did an amazing job. They finished the flooring and baseboards in a single day! The price was right and would recommend Bigfoot to friends.

KP Design and Construction did an outstanding job for us! They remodeled our kitchen and bathrooms. Debbie worked very closely with us on the design. She helped us open up our rooms. She has an artist’s ability to design rooms that are functional and beautiful. The colors flow beautifully from our kitchen to the bathrooms.
Keith oversaw the entire project. From his vast experience, he offered wonderful suggestions all along the journey. He has a marvelous eye for detail and is meticulous with his craft. Here’s a great example. My wife and I selected beautiful tile for our bathroom floors. But when the tiles arrived, a box of them were the wrong color! They were gray. Keith and his tile guy, Brian, looked at the “wrong” tiles in the box and made an amazing discovery. They were the perfect color for our bathrooms. Keith called this to our attention. He and Brian were right. They were perfect. Talk about serendipity!

Called today, had a red ant infestation. Panic mode! They showed up TODAY, and baited the ants... gave me instructions and will follow up in a few days to rebait. Very professional and responsive. Ben transformed my crispy weedy yard into a beautiful green paradise years ago. It's still lush and beautiful 6 years later. I work full time so I don't have a lot of spare time to dedicate to yard care. The sprinkler and drip system keep the maintenance and water bills low. Ben is highly knowledgeable about what types of plants thrive in different shade vs sun zones, and my yard is a haven to birds and bees with little to no work on my end. The 3D video that he provided me was spectacular and helped me cement my choices. And....he creatively made changes (without compromising my vision) to keep it within my budget.Shane provided 2d plans of both finished installation and irrigation schematic. Google limited my word count when I was updating my last review and I can't say enough good things about this man. I won't go on ad infinitum but the last review simply wasn't enough to express my appreciation for this man: How a guy can take patient care so seriously in a rapaciously competitive industry that increasingly prioritizes profit over patient care is beyond me. it is so incredibly hard to run a business like this against companies which can spread their costs across multiple offices and have major discounts for all of those costs because they buy larger quantities. Nevertheless, for Steven McComb patient care is his number one concern. The last thing i want to comment on which goes extremely under appreciated in the industry is that Dr. McComb is one of the few people left in this industry who treats his staff so well that you see the same faces year after year. Those front office positions and dental assisting are harder than people think and it can be incredibly stressful generating co-pay estimates because patients expect them to be exactly correct and perfect 100% of the time and there are a million insurances and they have a million stipulations and reasons to deny claims and so on. for this reason most dental offices have someone new up front and a new manager every other time you go to see them and the patients care, the accuracy of their estimates, the follow up, and personal care for their well being suffers tremendously with staff who are in and out the door constantly. at the end of the day the dentist doesn't have time to call you to remind you to get that filling he diagnosed you with so you need well trained and dedicated front office staff who have not only the compassion, but the skills and efficiency to make sure that you are updated and reminded about your care and Dr. McCombs staff are so experienced and well trained they can answer any and every question you might have after the diagnosis is made. i'm not saying you should ask them, im just saying that its rare to have that degree of professionalism and capabilities spread across an entire dental office from tip to top. these people know what they are doing and they will give you the absolute best care you can find in Chico. Don't let this extremely rare gem of a human being disappear into the diaspora of corporate denture mills of modern dentistry. He is one of the few left and his fees are roughly exactly the same as anywhere and actually lower than you'll see most places for cash fees. Even if you do have to pay extra, do it! it will save you money in the long run i 100% promise you it will because better care means better outcomes and you won't have to keep coming back and fixing the same tooth for yet another fee year after year. of course this should all be taken under the disclaimer that you still have to take care of your teeth after you leave, but if you do, you can count on having the best long term prognosis you're going to find from any dentist in Chico. Thank you Steven, Melissa, and everyone else in that phenomenal practice. you are one of the few true health care providers left in the country and i don't know how you do it in the modern health care business environment: i have to assume its because your other patients see what I have come to see and are truly loyal to you because they know they can trust you. I truly have grown to admire you since i moved away and began working in this industry and i can't thank you enough. stay well and keep being a shining light of good in an increasingly dark health care environment. Best dentist and team in Chico! I hadn’t been to a dentist in over 20 years due to a very traumatic experience. Everyone at Dr Walker’s office was very in tune and calming for me. I had a tooth crowned and because Dr Walker is so super awesome I didn’t even feel him give the shot.
Dr. Crowson is always friendly, kind and skilled and he explains procedures well to me. He does excellent work. His office staff is a pleasure to have helping me. His dental assistant is great at her job and makes sure I'm comfortable. She's always cheerful, friendly and kind. The office receptionist is friendly, knowledgeable and efficient and answers any questions I have when I call. I would recommend Dr. Crowson to anyone who needs dental care.
These guys are great! Dr. Guevarra and his staff are super friendly, and last time I was in, I heard lots of laughter going on. I've been truant from dental care (because of being shamed by other dentists) and my mouth was a mess. They have brought me back and I look forward to my next visit! BTW- their prices are lower than most, and they accept Blue Cross too!
I’ve had many MANY visits to dentists over the years. 6+ years of braces, implants and other dental surgeries, I’ve never found such an amazing and gentle dentist!! Within an hour he had my crown glued back on, no pain and barely even had to make adjustments afterwards! I’ll definitely be coming back for regular cleanings, the staff was so sweet and he really made sure to explain everything to me and go slow!

From the very moment I walked in to their office they were so kind and non judgemental to my two black eyes and fat lip literally one of my most humiliating day's of my life. Kramer and his staff could tell I was ashamed and embarrassed and they went above and beyond to ensure I felt at home in their care. This included finding me the best payment plan to ensure I got my smile fixed in a matter of days!

I cannot recommend Nelsen Family Dentistry enough! I have had one dentist my entire life and she recently retired, so I haven't been seen since 2021. I discovered NFD on Yelp and decided to give them a try after reading the excellent reviews. I had a deep cleaning done as well as 2 old fillings replaced by Dr. Missy and some wonderful hygienists and assistants. I have always had dental anxiety especially getting anesthesia and they made it very tolerable and comfortable for me! I would definitely recommend them to anyone looking for a caring team :)

I saw Dr Martin DcDonald and he was wonderful. A great listener, kind, respectful, friendly. His adjusting was gentle and successful. I really appreciate that he wasn't pushy about follow up appointments. The office staff was so friendly with everyone that came in. I was able to get in for the appointment in just 3 days. I will definetly return to this office.

Protect Dr. Steve at all costs. This man has given me my life back after messing up my lower back. He has a meticulous way of finding the problem and fixing it. He walks you through everything so you know exactly what and why hes doing it. Best bedside manner ever. I cried my eyes out from the emotional release after the first adjustment. We dont realize the pain we are carrying from these injuries. He is a light in my life. I would not be able to live my life comfortably without this man's expertise and help. There is a special place in the afterlife for this man and the people who facilitate his practice. I can only imagine the lives he has affected positively. If you have not had luck with other chiropractors, you will not be let down by Dr Steve.
Dr. McBee is the most brilliant chiro/doctor I've worked with. I've met with doctors, other chiros, pain specialists, physical therapists, and nurses, all of whom were clueless about my bulging disc and chronic pain. I've made fast progress with him & even found herbal supplements which have brought my pain levels way down! This is the first time in 4 years I'm making progress with strengthening my back so I can heal!
Dr. Shane is simply the best. I started out with bad neck and shoulder pain. After a series of sessions the pain is gone. He identified and fixed the issue. Now I visit twice a year for upkeep. He's super knowledgeable and friendly. I highly recommend him.
Dr. Foster is an excellent Chiropractor. He works to bring your body into alignment. He uses many healing methods and techniques to relieve your pain. I came to him with severe back and knee pain. I was having trouble walking. My pain rating was an 8 on a scale of 10. I felt better after my first treatment. As I have continued seeing Dr. Foster my pain rating has went down to a 2 and my mobility has improved greatly. I recommend him 100%

Making an appointment was very easy and his rates are reasonable. Worley listened to what was bothering me and I was feeling better almost immediately. Office atmosphere is very casual and he works on you until you are satisfied. I can't say that about some others I've tried as I felt like they run you through as fast as they can so they can just bill your insurance. I would highly recommend!

I came to Dr. Bunganich’s office injured and traumatized after a serious car accident. The care and concern I received from Dr. Bunganich is something I will be forever grateful for. He is a good doctor for many reasons, but here are a few: 1) He listens to his patients, which is not something all medical professionals do. 2) He is smart, and he knows what he’s doing; he has spent decades studying the systems of the human body. 3) He cares deeply about his patients’ recovery; in my healing, he has not only treated me, but he has helped me stay hopeful and positive during times when my body was not cooperating (and handed me tissues when I was crying!) 4) He has integrity. It’s his life’s work.Although months have passed since my injury, and I have improved dramatically (thanks to the recovery plan Dr. Bunganich has me on), I still see him regularly, as I have more work ahead of me, and I rely on his coaching, encouragement, and expertise. Dr. Darling treated our dog many years ago. We found out he was in Chico and made appt. with him. His staff is so friendly and great with animals. Dr. Darling had not changed a bit from the caring, excellent Vet he was in his early days. Cannot be more grateful our dogs are in his care.
If there was a person with the most empathy, kindness, caring and heartfelt love for animals it is Dr. Darling. We have been seeing him with all our many pets, farm animals and then some since 2007. He is the absolute best! Too many stories to share, but Dr. Darling is truly a man with the kindest heart and so gentle. He treats every single family like " you are the best pet owner and he loves your pet(s) the most. He truly loves what he does and it shows. The office staff is just as wonderful. I have a 1yr old shitzhu and spent months trying to groom her, took her to pet smart only for them to call me back an hour later because she was too anxious. All pet smart did was gave her a bath, didn't even blow dry her, she came back home wet. Tried this place since it's closer to home, and when I picked up my baby, well the smile on her face says it better than I can

After only primarily negative experiences with other massage therapists due to deep level traumas I rarely disclosed, not only did I grow a distrust for body work but also developed a fear towards pursuing the much needed therapy my body was craving for. Aside from trauma, physical & other variants, I suffer from chronic pain and severe anxiety. After reading Ben specialized with trauma, I booked with mild hope and was quickly put to ease after developing trust with Ben. His professionalism and approach to massage were far more healing that what I had experienced prior (and actually relaxing!) id consistently dropped in to a semi dream state while feeling like a brand new person after. I highly recommend Ben for anyone who struggles with fears around trauma but needing intuitive tension/pain relief for his philosophy towards approaching a more restored state and professionalism true out the client at ease. If I was still local, I’d definitely keep booking!

I had 2 Lymphatic drainage massage with Justina. I needed this 2 last Lymphatic drainage massage and she was able to squeeze me into her schedule that same day and the following day. She was very nice , sweet, caring and professional. She's one of a kind and l'm glad that I had found her. She very knowledgeable and experienced. I will definitely see her more in the future. I was only here for 30 minutes. Best rate in town. This place is a hidden gem. Plenty of parking. No wait time. Very quiet, clean, and therapeutic. There are quite a few rooms and the Chinese music is very relaxing. The masseur knows where to get into those knots. I've had lots of stress and knot build up in my neck and upper back. All the pain and tenderness had eased after I had the deep tissue massage. I should've gotten an hour massage or longer. What an amazing experience, I recommend coming here if you're looking for someone who knows some therapeutic deep tissue massage techniques. Definitely coming back for more!

Craniotherapy to address symptoms from neurological issues and skin-rolling for shoulder impingement - the relief is unbelievable which is why I call Erin first when I have pain or issues. Treatments are designed to resolve my issues quickly, without need for extended maintenance. I love that Erin helps me to self-treat. She teaches me techniques I can do myself to speed recovery.

I have been treating with Dr. Regina Dagorret for over 20 years. She has not only treated me, but my children as well who are now adults and firemen and who continue to treat with her.
