“I had a regular eye exam and contact lens exam, and I felt that the combined exam was more thorough than eye exams I've had in the past. The doctor was friendly and didn't seem rushed. After the appointment, the front desk staff didn't seem to consider that I may want to purchase my lenses elsewhere, and no written prescription was offered. While I did not press the issue at the time, I believe the law (16 CFR 315.3 and 16 CFR 456.2) requires the doctor to provide me with one regardless, so this was a disappointment.“

“Today, I am especially grateful for Borel Eye Doctors group. I had an eye injury from a chemical burn over the Labor Day holiday. Unfortunately, I knew the doctors may already be booked and short staffed due to the long holiday. I called and left a message with Dr Arnesty's office this morning to try to get in today to have an examination of my eye, as it was basically swollen shut and tearing profusely this morning. Despite the holiday weekend, one of the doctors in the office--Dr. Marks, was able to see me over her lunch break to examine my eyes and to make sure that there was no infection or serious damage. She was very helpful and I left feeling much relieved. Shortly after, I received a follow up call from Dr. Artnesty, who is also so kind and thorough with her patients. “I’ve been loyal to LensCrafters for years but recently I’ve found they don’t have a good selection of glasses with a slimmer profile and it’s never a fast experience there. So I decided to give my local optometrist a shot and walked into Woodside Optometry. I was immediately greeted by Monse, who took the time to make sure I had all my questions answered. She even helped me decide between a couple options I was torn between and was able to determine what glasses would be best for my skinner facial features. She then helped me maximize the discounts from my insurance company and made sure to use my insurance on sunglasses (as opposed to the regular glasses) which maximized the amount of coverage! She took the time to explain the different options for coating and polarization. I ended up getting a killer deal on 2 pairs of glasses with all the coatings and polarization and I was in and out within 30 min as a walk-in customer (I came in with my own prescription.) Monse made the whole experience of picking out glasses very fun and stress free. “Despite the kind of old/run down feel of the entire plaza, I had a very positive experience here with Dr. Veronica! She was great with my 1 year old who has mild astigmatism. He is a bit scared of strangers and hates having his hands restrained, so she was very kind and not pushy to get him to do what she needed him to do. I very much appreciated her patience and would definitely recommend her to my friends with young ones. Looks like some of the negative reviews here are with the glasses sales, so I would make sure folks search the reviews for the doctor's actual reviews. Pro tip, though maybe obvious if you aren't a first time mom - if you are bringing a little one, bring a favorite toy, snack, etc to distract them during the exam. I was such a newbie about it and the only leverage I had was a cracker. yes. singular. cracker. But it was still enough to get him to cooperate most of the time... will be better equipped for next time. lol.“
