“I'm so happy I settled on Ace. After a few interviews with other roofers, they did everything right, right from the initial inspection, findings, recommendations (chimney was crumbling) and pricing. He took a lot of photos of what they saw needed done up there. The crew did the recovering, etc. in a couple days and did an excellent job. The installed more efficient gutters, and when torrential storms came about 5 months later and water backed up and came inside a wall, causing bubbles under paint in bathroom, they came right over a day later and added one more drainpipe to gutter on each side, letting it drain faster in a deluge. No charge! Excellent, professional, local company. At least have them come to inspect your place to compare with other outfits. I think Teddy did the inspection here.“

“After 30 years of dealing with constant repairs to our Flat Roof, we finally decided to go for a new one. Got many estimates and did a lot of research into the best method. The "oldtimers" wanted to do the "rip off the old one and tar and gravel a new one". That is SOOOO 1980's. The younger ones had several different methods, most of them way too expensive. The more I read the research, the more i liked the Silicone Method. It's fairly new but highly preferred by experts especially for the "Dreaded Flat Roof". I found Pitre Construction and Roofing, a family owned business that's been an East Bay (and beyond) favorite for decades. I dealt with Ricky Petri, the son of the founder. I really lucked out. He is a big proponent of The Silicone Method. It's waterproof, has no seams to fray and leak, keeps the house 10 degrees cooler (delightful during this current 90/100's heat wave). They offer a 5,10, or 15 year manufacture's warrantee, depending on the thickness of the silicone used. The roof is power washed first, then treated with a primer and taped flashing, then completely covered in General Electric manufactured Silicone. There are no seams. Ricky is a blast to deal with. He's a high energy, delightful young man who's been doing roofing with his dad since he was 5. The workers are professional, experienced and very tidy. We were totally thrilled with the result. If any of you have been dealing with the torment of a flat, or long-term leaky roof, i feel your pain. It's so comforting to not have to think about the upcoming rainy season for many years to come. Ricky's estimate was VERY fair, way cheaper then the 10 or more estimates some of which went as high as 16K. If you're in the market or just tired with dealing with the stress of wondering which part of the ceiling is going to leak or fall this winter, give Ricky a call. “Called for Jay's Roofing but Mr. Ramos picked up and explained that Jay has retired and has forwarded his calls to him cuz they are friends. So he gave me an estimate which was the lowest out of two other highly rated roofers on yelp. I was hesitant but Ramos Roofing simply offered a lot more at a lower cost. I am glad I made the right choice. Mr. Ramos was very professional and did everything he promised. He took out the old roof which had 5 layers, install new plywood cuz I didn't have any, install new felt and Landmark pro shingles, install new gutters, took care of dry rot, and many other things. His crew did a great job, efficient and skilled. They completed the task in five days, which is pretty amazing considering the amount of work to do. Big thanks to Mr. Ramos!“
