“Great selection of frames and very friendly advice. They also have a lab on-site, so corrections are easy, if they are needed.“
“I absolutely loved my experience at Eye To Eye and I'm in love with my new glasses! Xavier, who is the owner is kind, warm, personable and patient. He helped me pick out the perfect frames and a pair of clip on sunglasses that are really cool and retro. The frames are very unique as he works with small vendors. His space is also stunning! It feels like you're walking into museum. I literally did not want to leave. I got progressive lenses, which has completely changed my driving experience so that I can look at the road and Waze without having to take my reading glasses on and off. It's a game changer! My friends have commented on how beautiful my glasses are, and I am really grateful to Xavier for helping me pick them out. They were also finished in a very timely manner to coincide with my leaving town. I highly highly recommend this business!“
“I've been going to Alan's business since middle school and it's like visiting a trusted family member every time. There's things people need to understand before walking into the store:- Alan has been a skilled optician for 50+ years- He's not going to steer you towards Gucci/Prada etc. but he will steer you to brands that are high quality, not 3D printed or dumped out in a factory in China and last for many years- He will give you a blunt and honest opinion of how it looks on you and if it fits your face well- You should call ahead and schedule an appointment because Alan does this out of love for his clients, not to make money- His work is not cheap, but stretched out over the life of the frames, it's worth it- He has to deal with downtown Berkeley crazies off the street coming in and causing trouble, so introduce yourself, be open to advice, and be patient.“
“Have any of you been burned out from eyeglass stores like LensCrafters which charge too much for eyeglasses? As someone who used to go to LensCrafters per a previous company's vision coverage, I found Warby Parker to be a breeze by comparison. Not only are they significantly better than LensCrafters, they also know how to serve customers better. -The eye exam is cheap, even if your vision coverage doesn't cover it. -Eyeglass frames are affordable, even if your vision coverage doesn't cover it. You pay for the frames, that's it. That's the cost of your glasses unless you want addition options for your glasses. -Eye exam was quick and straight forward. -Customer service is super friendly and willing to help with any questions you have. -Warby Parker ships to your home with your eyeglasses in reasonable amount of time. In the past I got mine from eyeglass stores in a week. Warby Parker got me mine in a day less than how I'd normally get it. And if that's not enough, my eyeglasses came in perfect condition along with a great, secure case. Warby Parker really knows how to deliver with eyeglasses. I plan on sticking with them. Hope you too!“
“So I have really bad vision -11.0. My optician for the last 40 years retired and I decided to try one of those big name brand box stores...bad idea with my level of prescription! Very bad! They could not get my prescription right. Desperate, I searched Google and Yelp for the best reviewed optician and found Aimee at The Optician!!! She set up a speed dating session for me with a huge number of glasses....amazingly the very first pair she picked for me was the winner! she is that good! She knew what frame would fit my face and work with my prescription the best. This was the easiest, most painless eyeglass selection wxperience of my life. Aimee also encouraged me to try progressives and I'm so glad I did!!!! They are a game changer...I have new eyes. I didn't realize how much details I was missing before. Go to The Optician...Aimee will take care of you!“
