“Sometimes, the customer isn't right. Jaime helped turn a very rough-looking floor into one that exceeded what I had requested. I had recently purchased a unit in a highrise condo building in San Francisco's East Cut neighborhood. I was renting a unit in the same building and was fixated on replicating the exact finish on the floor of the unit I had just purchased. Jaime and his team came recommended by the HOA since they had a lot of experience working with the floors in this particular condo building. Jaime took the time to carefully explain the constraints specific to the flooring in the building. He was extremely knowledgeable. Even after explaining the constraints, I was still determined to replicate the exact finish created by the original builder. After the work was completed, I compared the floors in the newly purchased unit against the floors in the unit I was renting, and they were quite different. Initially, I was unhappy with the result. Jaime and team had to put up with a grumpy customer for a couple of days, but I eventually recognized the error of my ways. I soon recognized that the new floors in the unit I had just purchased were actually much nicer than the floors in the unit I was renting. Jaime and team delivered a finish that was superior to the finish I had gotten used to. It was a 'glow-up.' After moving into the new unit and being back in the old unit to prepare it to hand back over to the owner, I have found myself thankful that we didn't replicate the flooring in the old unit. Jaime and crew are world-class in what they do. This was one of those 'trust the experts' scenarios. The customer isn't always right. “USA Carpet and Vinyl did a spectacular job of laying down luxury vinyl planks for my Oakland condominium. The floor is now beautiful! They have been a pleasure to interact with, professional, friendly, courteous. The price tag was reasonable and competitive. I paid exactly the price they quoted me, no more, no less. They were generous enough to do one of my closets, which was not even in the quote or the contract for no extra charge. “Super responsive. We needed a runner installed on some wooden stairs that we had purchased on line and required putting two runners together with padding. It was clear via his specific questions that he was very knowledgeable (compared to others I was in communication with who only asked a few questions). He asked for photos, patiently responded to a variety of questions (even when it was an evening on a weekend) and was prompt, very clean, and did a great job. Very friendly and personable. She has a very sharp eye for detail, and when she gives you a time for when she'll show up, she keeps her word. We got a kitchen island installed for MUCH, MUCH less than other contractors we spoke with. She communicates well via phone and text, and from our experience, she delivered everything as promised.
