“We needed a few things worked on, replace leaky hot water shut-off valve under the kitchen sink, adjustment to the kitchen sink drain so that it would not come apart (and leak), and adjustments to faucets/drains which were out of line and didn't plug correctly in our master bath. Scott fixed all of these things and also found another small leak which he fixed. He also made the space under our kitchen sink look tidier by making sure the hoses and wiring under the sink were not in a jumbled mess. Overall, Scott is very personable and explains clearly what he's done, and even advises how we could do some small things ourselves.“

They showed up on time and took care of our problem. They did the difficult task of working in a tight space in our basement. “My old tankless water heater died about 14 months ago and Keith installed a new Navien replacement unit. Keith did a fantastic job, working within a very tight space and adjusting plumbing fittings to work within the constraints. Two months later, the water heater stopped working. Keith responded immediately and noted that a manufacturing issue had been discovered that resulted in many units with bad control boards. In order to process a warranty claim, Keith was supposed to diagnose our bad unit, send it in, and order a replacement. To save time, Keith ordered a replacement at his risk and replaced the control board the next day.Now, 14 months later and I wanted to perform annual maintenance to descale the unit. The procedure I used on my old water heater did not work and once again Keith responded promptly and suggested a possible solution. Worked first try! It was in our landscape watering system. They repaired it. Their pricing is in line with other firms. In addition to the repair in the water line, they perfomed a few minor plumbing repair jobs that we had but that most companies didn't want to handle because they were so small. “I’m a renter and our water heater started to leak all over the floor last Friday evening. I tried to reach out to local Castro Valley plumbers, but those who answered the phone were booked for week ahead. Fito was just next door in Hayward and picked up the phone around 8pm. Since we are renters, he requested to speak to the owner, and after talking to them he scheduled his crew for next day morning. His team showed up on Saturday morning on time. Water heater was over 20 years old and was not repairable. They covered the floor around the work area and proceeded with replacement. They installed the new heater on the pedestal and added new drain line so it does not flood the floor in the future. Work was done in timely manner. Very happy with their service. “Big thank you to the guys at thumbs up plumbing!!! I work a lot and am very grateful to be able to get my quote/appointment over the phone. Other plumbers insisted on seeing it in person but with thumbs up plumbing I sent a picture and answered a few questions and that was that. I was looking for someone to fix a diverter for three handle shower, water was not flowing properly.

The plumber Eddie was very chill and down to earth, I have a lot going on at my house (dogs, cats, people coming and going). I forgot to tell my upstairs neighbors we had to shut the water off and he offered to tell them for me ? though it ended up not being an issue because he finished the job in a bit over an hour. My shower is now working! And also the drain in the tub that was draining slowly is working better too, not sure why (a different company told me 400 for the drain !) but I'm not complaining.

They had availability and were able to schedule me the same day. The price was reasonable and service was great!!! Turns out the P- trap needed to be replaced and they were able to unclog my toilet!

Keith answered promptly when I called the main number today and we set up an appointment to have a problem with our tankless water heater. “I've been using Carlos for all of my plumbing issues since moving into our house in 2011. Prior to moving in, Carlos ran a gas line from my meter to the kitchen. While here, he replaced a nonexistent air gap for the dishwasher, checked for leaks throughout the house, and even went into the crawlspace, where he found, and fixed a leak from the downstairs bathroom. He was the middle of three bids and I'm so glad I used him. He was only here for the gas line, for which he also got the permit, but offered to check out the whole house. He barely charged me for the leak repair and charged me nothing for the air gap (he happened to have one in his truck). I've used him to clear my main drain a couple of times and he's always reasonable, even at night or the weekend, and always does great work. He is also very personable and honest. I highly recommend Carlos for all your plumbing issues.“
