Wow - talk about a car dealer that has no interest in selling cars. The sales manager, Ari, is super arrogant. I would not buy a car from him if it was free - OMG and WTF. I will say that the sales associate I worked with 'J' was awesome. He made time for us, taught us all about the cars, took us on multiple test drives and did his best to navigate the corporate mess. I was tempted to buy a car from them just so he would get the credit, because I really appreciated the service he gave us, but at the end of the day, I just can't stomach doing business with this outfit. I'll go to a different, non-affiliated, MB dealer, or a non-affiliated BMW dealer, for a similar car. I'm confident I can get a similar offer without the bad taste in the mouth. Such a shame that Swickward does not seem to care about customers. I am glad I found out before buying a car from them. I also learned from other reviews, that the service/maintenance department follows the same bad business practices. I did spend two afternoons honestly trying to buy a car here but dang, I think I got lucky and dodged a bullet instead. I am so annoyed that I'm dropping Swickward BMW and Toyota and Volvo off my list also. I will not put my hard earned money into this organization after seeing how a sales manager treats a prospective customer.
Their business practice is very unethical. They would hold your car HOSTAGE to FORCE you to do business with them and will DEMAND RANSOM. I towed my car in and asked them for a quote to fix my car. Their quote was $3.3k. I then asked the Lynnwood shop for the quote, and the quote was $2k for exactly the same service. Then I decided to tow the car to the Lynnwood shop, but this Seattle shop just won't allow me and asked me for a RANSOM totaling $1k+, or otherwise they would keep holding my car hostage. They claimed the $1k+ ransom is for the parts & diagnostics, which I never asked for. They told me the parts can't be cancelled, but when i asked them to provide me a screenshot showing the parts can't be canceled, they realized their lies were exposed, and said they would make the concessions and not charge me for it. If the service manager I spoke to in the Lynnwood shop did not help me expose the lie, I would have been ripped off. Finally, they still demanded the $350, which I had to and did pay in order for them to RELEASE the HOSTAGE, my car.
Keith has to be one of the best Sprinter salesman ever. Unfortunately, the service department staff is terrible. Extremely unhelpful when you have problems. I recommend buying a van from them and having it serviced in Lynnwood. Also note, parts department has a 20% restocking fee on returns.
