“I have been a loyal Asante customer for over 13 years, and they have always done an amazing job listening to what I wanted and delivering a perfect cut every time. But over the past 2 years or so I have slowly watched their prices increase exponentially. To put it in perspective, when I started going there I paid about $40 for a men's cut, the last cut I got at Asante cost me over $120 with tip. It is like they are trying to price out all their base customers or something, the cost is just absurd. I used to go every other month, then it became every 3 months, then a couple times a year.
Now I am at the point I need to find a new salon, because the price hikes have ensured I can no longer be an Asante customer after more than a decade of patronage.
I am not happy about this, because the people there are fantastic and I always walk away satisfied with my cut. But some of us cannot afford $120 haircuts when food and living costs are so insane right now.“
