“Believe all the 5-star reviews!!! I’ve been getting my hair cut by Loufel for years now. I dabbled with other stylists when I couldn’t get an appointment right away, or when I lived in NYC for a while, but there is no one else at her level of skill. She’s so easy to talk to, works efficiently, and just GETS IT. She is also an incredibly talented colorist. I got a partial balayage with toner and it’s exactly what I wanted. My appointment was a week before my wedding so it was pretty high stakes, but I had zero doubt she would deliver and she did (as always). Very cute salon space near downtown. Parking isn’t amazing, but just look around the block.“

“Kimmie's salon is a hidden gem in beacon hill. I found her when looking for hair styling online when she first started and was a little nervous she had few reviews, but she was professional with communication so tried it out and LOVE her work. She has a huge array of services and is really talented at coloring hair and attentive to her clients. Her pricing is also very reasonable for the area and she is very honest in recommendations. I have had my hair dyed several times with her and cut as well and have never been disappointed. Of note, her salon can be a bit tricky for parking when busy, but is comfortable and relatively easy to find. If you're looking for a good stylist in the area I definitely recommend Kimmie!“
“Thoroughly enjoyed my first visit at Sugar & Shears for a haircut and baby lights!The salon itself has a positive, warm ambiance that is evident upon arrival. It also feels very clean and tidy in there.My hair stylist, Tarynne, was professional, down to earth, and so knowledgeable at her craft. She took her time with my hair, she communicated well, and it was so relaxing having a quiet session on a Saturday morning and being able to catch up on my Kindle while she worked on my hair.After her thoughtful suggestions based on my preferences (e.g., a professional look and noticeable color), I ended up really satisfied with the end product. “I had THEE best experience getting my lashes done with Samantha! First off her bed where you lay during the services is SO comfortable. It's giving orthopedic... it's giving my back is healing. And, of course, the lashes were amazing. SOO cute and just made me feel like a little doll all the time. I got so many compliments on how good they looked, even several weeks after they were applied. Plus, my makeup routine was so much shorter, and no more false eyelash related pain and frustration when the glue just isn't gluing. The application, refills, and removal were all so seamless and comfortable. AND there's free parking. Would 100% recommend.“

“I got my long hair cut by Alexis for the second time, and it was a fantastic experience again. The whole time I was in the salon it was extremely relaxing. She is very gentle when she handles my hair, no yanking or pulling. The haircut itself turned out great too and exactly as we discussed at the beginning of the session.The salon has strict hygiene policies which I appreciate (such as wearing a mask and washing hands on arrival) and if this is something you care about I highly recommend this spot.“
