The place is always clean and nice looking. All the students that go here too are all some of the nicest people i’ve met and are always nice to train with. If you are looking for a place to practice or learn martial arts i recommend this dojo.“

The environment is family friendly, and the facility is kept very clean. Everyone has made us feel very welcome!“

8256 S 192nd St, Kent“I don’t even know where to start. Jiu-Jitsu is such a unique brother hood. As one of the cornerstones of MMA it requires sparring. Sparring is unique especially when you get to do it with people whom you have never met (and not in a competition setting). James’s place didn’t disappoint. The rolls I had there were nothing short of awesome. It’s also super unique that an accomplished athlete such as James to even roll with drop in athletes!!! In the short hour and a half that I was there I felt like I found a family for myself on the southern Seattle seaboard!“

8862 161st Avenue Northeast UNIT 107, Redmond“Both my kids have been training here for nearly 5 years, and we absolutely love our school and sanseis. Our kids have grown not only in physical strength but also in confidence and integrity. Martial art is the best way to have not only sport activity for kids, but also a life time hobby and a place to find friends. All sanseis know how to work with kids, how to support their physical and mental health . Sensei Jack, sensei Brandan and Sensei Sam are wonderful teachers.“

1912 E Madison St, Seattle“Our son has been going here for the past 2 years and has absolutely loved it. He not only engages with the physical activity and coordination but also the mental lessons and challenges the dojo offers in the form of values and little bits of homework to engage with those values ( things like honesty, sportsmanship, self control, etc). He had his birthday party here and a friend joined and has loved it too. Great instructors and structure to the classes. Cannot recommend it enough.“

2923 NE Blakeley St, Seattle“AMA is fantastic! My daughter has been doing karate there for more than 4 years. She started in person before the pandemic, took online classes when AMA pivoted to online, has been back in person for months and is preparing to take her junior black belt test this month. The instructors are great and Mr Herrman is very responsive. I love that they teach karate and how to be an all-round good human. AMA gave my daughter a reliable activity and reliable role models during the pandemic, when not much else was reliable. I can’t say enough good things about AMA.“

12802 NE 125th Way, Kirkland“Originally, my daughter wanted to learn Jiu-Jitsu, so I found this place near my home and took a trial class with the intention of giving it a try. The first impression is that the students and coaches here are as close as family and help each other. I quickly decided that both myself and my daughter would participate in the training. Although you have been training for less than a month, you are already addicted to this kind of exercise that quickly makes you sweat - yes, "exercise addiction". This is a very rare experience for a middle-aged woman who does not like to exercise on a daily basis?!
Before each class ended, the students for the next class were already waiting at the entrance. I believe this scene says it all.“

4063 148th Ave NE, Bellevue“A True Gem for Learning Practical Self-Defense As someone who's trained in martial arts since the age of 6, I can confidently say that Conqueror is a true gem for passionate martial artists like myself and anyone who is interested in learning practical self-defense skills. While I've competed in various disciplines, including Sanda, wrestling, MMA, and Brazilian Jiujitsu, throughout my life, as I've gotten older, my training priorities have shifted from sport to self-defense. I went to several different schools in the area, but, ultimately, settled on Conqueror. To be honest, I was originally a little hesitant to try Hapkido since I'd heard criticisms that it isn't very effective. My initial skepticism and preconceived notions were dispelled during my first class. Master Ali teaches a unique self-defense system that integrates Hapkido with other arts, such as Brazilian Jiujitsu, Karate, Taekwondo, Muay Thai, Boxing, wrestling, and Judo, with an emphasis on real-world applications. As such, he has modified the traditional Hapkido techniques by combining them with Brazilian Jiujitsu and wrestling principles, making them undeniably effective. Right off the bat, I noticed how my existing skills were enhanced and complemented by his instruction. Master Ali and Master Roland are both exceptional. Frankly, I don't think other instructors in the area have even close to their level of experience in both martial arts and real self-defense situations. Their wealth of knowledge and hands-on experience makes every class engaging and enlightening. While they push us to improve our skills, they keep classes fun and enjoyable. They also foster a positive and respectful environment that encourages students to grow and excel, both on and off the mat. Whether you're a seasoned martial artist like me or someone looking to start their martial arts journey, I highly recommend Conqueror. The caliber of instructors, the integrated self-defense system, and the practicality of the training make it a one-of-a-kind experience. My skills have improved immensely, and I'm excited to continue my martial arts journey here. Don't miss out on this opportunity! Five stars all the way!“

1800 S Jackson St, Seattle“I joined November 2022 and would like to share this review/experience after 17 months. I grew up playing soccer and doing things like track/field since I was 5 years old. In my phase of late 20s/early 30s, I wanted to try something new and decided on martial arts.Quantum is a very welcoming place, extremely inclusive, and a community driven dojo. I wanted to learn a blended style of both grappling and striking. The Quantum style offers that and more. I also received the unexpectedly benefit of stretching/warm-ups every class - I feel way more amazing on the inside than I ever did a year ago due to training my flexibility! The first two weeks are free and you can also make other arrangement with the teacher(s) to figure out how to make best of the trial period. If you are looking for a hardcore MMA gym, this is not the place. If you seek inspiration, courtesy, friends that you can punch, and learning inwardly how far you can go, Quantum Martial Arts might just be for you! I encourage you to give a try!“

Within this short period, he has improved focus, determination and discipline. The number of reviews here on google reviews does not showcase the great work that Master Park . If you are in the Bellevue area, I would highly suggest Master Park's TKD for all round development for your child.“

536 NE Northgate Way, Seattle“I have practiced and taught Oom Yung Doe for many years. I have personally gained many benefits including developing greater strength, speed agility & skill. I have also developed self-discipline, determination, confidence & self-reliance. These traits have brought me great gains both personally & professionally resulting in boosting my career, communication skills & personal relationships. Of course I have had my share of self-defense incidents from time to time over the years and am grateful to Oom Yung Doe and Grand Master "Iron" Kim for giving me the skill & ability to completely dominate my attackers in these situations.“
“We love this place. The teacher for the kids (Jeff) is super professional, very nice, and extremely patient. My daughter says he’s the best teacher she’s ever had in her life. They learn a lot more than just Aikido techniques, but also good life philosophies.“

“Bellevue Kendo is incredible. This is no "black belt mill" - you actually have to earn your advancement. It's run by Jeff Marsten (well known in Kendo) and his crew of senseis. If you want personal challenge and serious growth, or a place for your kids where they are driven and worked hard - this is it.What you get for the price is truly incredible - it must be subsidized by the city.“
