“My 6 year old yellow lab, Bruno had a cardiac arrest around 10:30 am this Tuesday (8th Oct 2024) while lying near my feet in my study room. He had no previous health issues and was a perfectly happy-go-lucky gentle giant. I can still hear his painful shrieks that mellowed into a whimper before he passed out in my arms. When 911 refused to attend to pet emergencies, my only option was to pick him up and rush to the nearest vet.
Having recently moved to Woodinville, I vaguely remembered a vet hospital opposite Safeway. Following my memory, I hurried Bruno there, which turned out to be Evergreen Veterinary Hospital. As soon as we arrived, the hospital staff rushed out to take Bruno inside while I caught my breath and completed the paperwork.
Despite their best efforts, Dr. Wilcock and her team were unable to revive Bruno. They suspected cardiac arrest as the cause. Bruno left us unexpectedly and far too soon, at just over 6 years old - much younger than the typical 12-15 years for Labradors. My family is devastated by the loss.
Throughout this difficult time, Dr. Wilcock and her team were incredibly empathetic and supportive. Being our first dog, we were unprepared for this experience, and they guided us through each step. They provided us with options for private cremation through a third party and arranged for Bruno's ashes, paw prints, and fur clippings to be returned to us in an urn (awaiting, expecting to go pick it today).
We left Bruno at the hospital and came back later that day after my daughter came back from school to say our final goodbyes to Bruno. We brought Bruno's favorite toys and treats for him to take with him across the rainbow bridge. Christina, the front-office manager, helped us navigate the paperwork with great compassion. They allowed us to mourn and stay with Bruno as long as we needed.
After coming back home, when we realized we had forgotten to apply the red holy powder (we are Hindu), we called the hospital to ask if Bruno was still there. Though we couldn't apply it ourselves, the staff graciously assured us they would follow our instructions and apply the powder on Bruno's forehead for us.
Although I don't have experiences to share about their routine care, I can confidently say that we couldn't have found a better place to say goodbye to our beloved Bruno. Their final bill was also very reasonable, only charging for the actual services provided—unlike other veterinary hospitals that often charge for room fees, doctor visits, etc.
While I know Bruno can never be replaced, if we ever have the strength to bring another puppy into our home, Evergreen Veterinary Hospital is where we will go.
Thank you, Dr. Wilcock, Christina, and the entire staff at Evergreen Veterinary Hospital, for your compassion, support, and understanding during the most heartbreaking moment of our lives.“
“Referred by local vet for a more extensive work for lumps on my Boston. Internal med vet is amazing. Expensive, but worth it.“
“I transitioned my senior cat, Oscar to ABC veterinary hospital in April 2023 - and very pleased with the overall care, compassion that is demonstrated by all staff members I encounter. Dr. Zabak is very thorough -- even calling me during a procedure to let me know things were going well. They are very accommodating.“
“After almost four years of my beloved cat William Bell bravely fighting an aggressive lymphoma, I want to express my deepest gratitude to the incredible team at AMCS. This journey took us through six clinics across four states in two different countries, always looking for a place where the team’s intentions felt genuine and compassionate. Too often, veterinary care can feel profit-driven, so finding a team that understands the care extends to both pet and owner is invaluable.
The AMCS team exceeded my expectations, with compassion and professionalism in every interaction. Special thanks to Dr. Katie Robinson, who initiated William’s treatment and guided us early on; Dr. Nick Szigetvari, an exceptional doctor whom I truly ADORE ? and took care of us; and Dr. Mary Davis, who went above and beyond to fit William into her schedule during his final days, offering me the reassurance I needed to make difficult choices thoughtfully. Her patient guidance helped me feel confident and not rushed in those critical moments. To everyone who played a role — whether in reception, the wonderful triage team, or any of the dedicated staff who worked closely with the doctors — your kindness and care provided incredible comfort during this challenging time. Each of you contributed in ways that were equally meaningful to me, and I cannot thank you enough.
The AMCS team went above and beyond with thoughtful gestures that meant a lot to me. After William’s passing, they honored him by sending a beautiful candle, and just days later, a handwritten letter arrived, which moved me to tears. They handled everything, including billing, with fairness and empathy - never pushing unnecessary expenses and always providing clear, balanced options at every step.
For any pet owner seeking a team that values both high-quality medical care and genuine human compassion, I wholeheartedly recommend the Animal Medical Center of Seattle. Thank you for being part of William’s journey. I will always be grateful and keep you in my heart!“

“Dr. Kastner Is the BEST vet we have ever had. She is empathetic & knowledgeable. The perfect combination. If I could give a higher review than a 5 - I would. Can't say enough about how much Jack & Beans love her. Also, ALL of the staff here are OUTSTANDING. They're always going above & beyond for us & we are A LOT!!!! Appreciate them & am forever grateful we have them.“
“I have been taking my elder cat here since last year. Dr. Jones is a kind and wonderful doctor. She is very knowledgeable and is willing to explain to my insurance if my insurance declines my claim wrongly. All the staff here is very friendly and courteous. The interiors are clean and spacious. I will continue taking my cat back here! Parking is easy as they have a private parking area.“
“Doctor/Owner is a genuine, generous, and incredible man. Being a vet is hard. Not enough of us recognize that. Doctor took care of our boy as though he was his own, and saved his life. I couldn't be more grateful. There aren't enough stars I could give. Thank you.“
