“Time to break out the Halloween Doggie costumes! Carrots and I are still grieving the loss of Miss Peas, she was such a wonderful doggie, but we are in a better spot and Carrots and I couldn't be closer. Her ashes have been scattered in an apple orchard I hope to visit soon. This was done compliments of Madison Vet Clinic. As if they could be any nicer. Here's my original post:
I had to put down my puppy Peas a few weeks ago and my Husband died in October, so it's just me and Carrots, Peas' brother. As mentioned before, Peas was experiencing seizures, they were increasing in frequency and she was in pain. The four of us made up a joyful, wonderful family and made some awesome memories over 16 years. While this was one of the most difficult experiences I've ever been through, I thank God that Dr. Zebrowski was there to put her down. Also, the entire staff who was present, and this is no exaggeration, was there to support me, offer hugs, kind words and a safe space to cry. And I hate crying in public. So, yet another reason to give these people your business and hopefully start a long fruitful relationship. Be well.

Before switching from Mercer Street Vet Clinic to here, no one could figure out which meds would work. Dr. Z ran some blood tests and quickly identified the solution. Peas is doing much better, which means everyone in our family is doing much better, too. “I found this place to do testing for rabies antibody titer for exporting animals, in order to bring my two toy poodles to Taiwan. Taiwan is like Australia with no rabies, therefore, a pain in the butt long process and has very strict requirements to follow. The people who I came in contact with were all so nice and helpful! They were knowledgeable and also accommodating for emergencies. When I call them at working hours, I have never been directed into a voicemail. Thanks to them, I have successfully received the permit to travel to a rabies free country with my dogs.“

“I brought my first cat Off Road to island cats 34 years ago. She lived to be 20. My mom and daughter brought their fur babies Sam and one of her babies Olivia there. My daughter and Sam moved to Olympia but my mom stayed at Island Cats for I think 16yrs and I started bringing my cat Tyson there after Off Road for 18yrs. That's 34yrs of care and I can truly say that I don't think they could have gotten better care anywhere in the state. Dr.Marshall is truly the cat whisperer. I just can't imagine taking them to any other vet clinic for care. Island Cats is really truly amazing. When it came to my precious fur babies end of life decisions I'm glad that this is where I could bring them. I have a tiny dog now but miss having a cat so very much. I feel like a turn coat!“

Depending on your style, there is someone here that will make you feel your fur child is well cared for. I LOVE that the front desk brings their fur kids to work. The place is small and they keep it organized and they love the animals - there is zero doubt they care 100%. They go the extra mile for your pet.“

The entire staff is caring and helpful. Prices are comparable to the couple of other vets I looked into. Let's face it, Healthcare for anyone isn't cheap, but the prices here seem reasonable to me. “We've been working with Green Lake Animal Hospital (GLAH) for several years to care for our two dogs and cats. We have been consistently impressed with the care, knowledge, and concern shown by the GLAH vets and the staff. Their hours are helpful, they are super responsive to email and voicemail, and have provided good guidance for our reactive pooch. They helped us through the cancer of one of our cats in a very compassionate way. Most recently they provided us with medication we'd run out of (our fault) in a really timely way - though I would've completely understood if they'd been unable to do so.
