“Jean is the absolute BEST! When I came to her back in summer 2022, my scalp was bleeding from a skin condition that flairs up due to stress or low immunity. She took a special camera to it and showed me how bad it was. She did a special scalp treatment and conditioner from Korea, and it has helped tremendously! Not only that, but my hair was grey, purple, and brown from me messing with box color, and she fixed it. I love her personality and her services.<br><br>If you go to Jean at Lavanda, please respect her, her time, and keep your appointment as there are no walk-ins. She is the only one servicing the salon. Plus, there is no haggling on prices. One man came in while I was getting my hair done, and he was so rude to her talking about "In my country this, and in my county that...". This salon is upscale with services to match that need to be respected, so please respect her and her salon.“

“This was my second visit in 2 months! These ladies are kind and they get right to work. The first thing I noticed was how clean the salon was. Next everyone steps in to help. One was braiding my hair and another came over and started the snipping the hair sticking out of the finished braids. They clean the stations and sweep right away and make room for the next client. They confirm the style you want and explain how to care for the hair and even do a test braid for your approval before moving on. Some of the kindest women I've ever encountered. I WILL be back! They are fast, friendly, clean AND do good work without charging an arm and a leg.“

I went in with hair to the middle of back wanting a big chop/pixie cut and Kim did AMAZING! We got there, it was her and Sandra working, both were with a client, Araceli was cutting a man’s hair and Sandra was trimming a man’s beard. Araceli greeted us, while we were waiting, I watched they both takes their time to give the quality service to their clients….not rushing because they had people waiting. When it’s my younger son’s turn, I showed her how we wanted it cut, she constantly communicates with us, it was his first haircut at a barber shop, not only Araceli had delivered the exceptional service, my kiddo was very calm under her shears. ? Followed was my older son (12) who had a hair cut by her, he told her how he wants it cut, in between she communicates well with him, that shows a professionalism. I know we have found our stylist!“

“This review is L O N G overdue!!! If you care about the health of your hair and want it to be the healthiest it's ever been, you need to see Angie. I went to her years ago and then she moved. I am here to tell you NOONE else has been on her caliber!!! She ask questions to really understand how you are taking care of your hair on your own and then she educates you!! She tells you everything she is doing with your hair and why. Also.... time, you are not there all day, when you are in her chair, the focus is you. She is so fast and efficient, and I DONT HAVE TO DETANGLE OR PREP my hair prior to coming, she does it and she is gentle. Lastly, I do not know how she does it but my natural curls is at its best after seeing her to the point that I didn't even wanna wash it bc I knew it wouldn't look like hers (it didn't but we will get there lol) she also makes clean haircare products for you to check out! Instead, they offer a VIP room that comes at an additional cost and this shouldn't be the case. Every spa I've ever been to offers this at no charge and is expected. Typically, you would check in, change into your robe and head to this room to start relaxing ahead of your treatment. It helps calm the nerves and get you into the right mindset. It's also a nice place to hydrate and rest a bit after your treatments have been completed.<br><br>Unfortunately, you have to wait at the check-in/entrance which can be loud and somewhat chaotic, and you feel rushed to leave immediately after your treatment. It really prevents the place from feeling truly relaxing and luxurious. I really hope the owners reconsider this set up moving forward.“

I get a trim every few weeks on my 80s style mullet and never walk away disappointed.<br><br>Also, this is a good place to bring your special needs kids as I have never seen a gentler hair cut than the one time I watched Melissa (I believe) give a fade to an autistic boy. It meant a lot to me because I know from experience how hard it can be to get your special needs child a haircut, and that fade was on point.“

“I went there to get my haircut fixed which was messed up at another salon down the street. I made an appointment over the phone but when I came in, they couldn't find my reservation. However, they were able to squeeze me in and Patty did an ok job on fixing my hair - although I had to go much shorter and my hair still looked a bit too choppy, but it was better than what I had before. I will try another master next time and see if I will keep using this place. Pricing is more than at Haircuttery, but lower than other salons (not chains) around. Place itself looks a bit outdated but clean enough.“
