“We boarded our very shy cat Jackie at the Happy Cat Hotel for about 10 days while my husband and I were away. The staff took outstanding care of Jackie, spending quality time with him every day, playing with him, and ensuring he ate well. We got daily updates and had access to the cat cam inside his room. We had a very positive experience and would board him there again.“
“We love Pawsh! I live on Capitol Hill but drive to Alexandria frequently because Pawsh is so much better than the options in DC. I used to almost exclusively use the self-wash option, which is really well done. There's plenty of space so the dogs don't feel too crowded, the tubs are high enough that it won't hurt your back, and they truly have all the supplies you could possibly need (including Furminators). Since an injury, my pup Arlo -- a giant, hairy, exuberant golden retriever -- has been treated to Pawsh Packages (a bath/blowout/nail trim service). Mary, the owner, has been incredible about making sure Arlo gets a super thorough de-shed, and he's always so happy when I pick him up. On top of all that, everything is fairly priced. Can't recommend this (locally owned!) business enough.“

“Amazing experience I got my two boys groomed. They are senior dogs and have some arthritis in the back legs and some skin issues. She worked with and bathed them with a special shampoo for skin allergy. Also got recommended products for skin allergies and possible different diets for allergy sensitive dogs. She sent me pictures through out and updated me with anything I needed to know. Quick to responded and very timely. I recommend Anyone taking their time to do research on a good groomer to definitely take you dogs here. I couldn’t have had a better experience.“

“This is by fair the best pet resort around. The owner is such an awesome guy that will go above and beyond to help out. My daughter was new to the Virginia area and had moved from Texas there for about two months before she had to return to Texas for a funeral. Not knowing anyone in VA are knowing any places to leave her dog. We reached out to Dog Dudes and the rest was history. “Potomac animal hospital is quite pricey, but we love the level of care our dogs have received over the past years. We go here for grooming, preventative care, and medical care. The reception staff is very friendly, as are the vets themselves.“

She always communicates when our dog is almost done so we have a 20 minute heads up when we can pick her up. The cuts have all been good and our dog seems well cared for.“
“I am in awe of this place. This is now my second visit & my heeler/pointer mix, Oliver, comes back so CLEAN, thoroughly brushed to the point where he hardly sheds the few days following his appointment, and his nails properly trimmed. I was SHOCKED when I brought him back the second time and he was running to the entrance. Any other groomer Ive taken him to, Ive had to drag his feet as he refuses to enter. So glad we were referred here. Staff is also so friendly!“
