“I have a 70 year-old red oak that is being stressed by the street, neighbor driveway, and new Vienna sidewalk. To prolong it's life, I asked for several consulting estimates for crown/dead wood trimming and root feeding. Having been contacted by multiple "we're in your neighborhood" tree trimmers in the past, I knew that I didn't want to go that route again. With RTEC, I was very impressed by their front office/customer support professionalism and by their consultant-certified arborist (Ben) -- as compared to the other two arborists/tree companies that provided estimates. There was regular communication of the services contracted and the work crew that did the work was prompt, courteous, professional, and efficient. When they were done, everything was cleaned up. It had grown around power lines and had branches that touched the House. Thomas came out and gave us a free quote and left us with several options. Importantly, he did ask how I wanted to have the tree trimmed - to look natural or to be severely cut back. The crew came out and did the job quickly and well. In addition, they did an AMAZING job of cleaning up after themselves. They raked the yard for any extra branches and removed any scrap that fell off the tree. I highly recommend this company.“

“Big Steve came out right away to address my concerns on a new home property that had invasive trees and tree shrubs destroying a custom-made $30,000 fence. Their estimate was very reasonable given that ten fence panels needed to come down and go back up after removal and five fence posts needed to be replaced due to the damage. The job took two days to include taking down two trees near the front porch. Big Steve also adjusted their schedule to remove invasive tree shrubs from the neighbor's property affecting the party fence and water and sewage exterior pipes. “Davey just finished removing 2 trees from my property and I could not be more pleased. I live in a rowhouse with a shared alley in the back. The workers showed up in advance of the 8:30 start time to assess the alley and move trash bins to clear the path for the crane. I had a neighbor who refused to move his car because objected to the fact that I was cutting down trees on my own property. Mike Whetzel spoke to him separately and got him to move his car. The work went very quickly and the guys cleaned up my yard and the alley and moved everything back afterwards.
