“I had the waist of two pairs of jeans taken in. One pair were definitely rejects from the Levi's store because the waist was so awkwardly large, but I got a great deal on them at Marshall's so I figured what the heck. The better fitting of the two came out great, and she dang near worked a miracle taking in the pair of Levi's. She must have had to rebuild the entire waist. Very happy with the results. A bit pricey (though I have no reference), about $30 a pair, which is more than I paid for the pants. But honestly they fit so well that I'll save myself the headache of continuing to buy more pants that fit in the thighs, but are too big in the waist. Just fyi, she doesn't call when items are ready to be picked up IME, but I live close and just swing by around the expected completion date.“

“I truly can't recommend Lien highly enough. I went to her for all of my alterations for my wedding dress- she was so kind and helpful and always knew exactly what needed to be done to the dress. I appreciated how she would always show and explain to me why she was making certain recommendations. She was also able to make custom off-the-shoulder sleeves for my wedding gown that honestly looked like they came with the dress- they were perfect. I went back to Lien after my wedding for help altering a lehenga with mirror work, which is an extremely complicated garment to alter. I was so impressed with the work she did. She basically had to take apart and rebuild the top and skirt and you cannot tell at all. Lien is the absolute nicest woman and her prices are incredibly reasonable for the work she is doing. The shop is by appointment only and open Tuesday-Saturday, only cash and checks are accepted. It is well worth the drive to Herndon from DC/NOVA and I will continue going to her for alterations!“

Some reviews mentioned the cost; however, I learned if you want quality it is usually a bit more expensive and worth it.“
