“I worked with Dr Robinson for a platysmaplasty (neck lift) and liposuction. He made me feel very comfortable during our consults and I was excited to finally get my chunky neck and double chin taken care of. The day of surgery went well and I stayed awake for the procedure. Recovery wasn’t bad and I felt like the information provided to me was clear and concise. The liposuction along the sides of my neck look fantastic and have really slimmed down those areas. However, my final consult with Dr Robinson about my result concerns was disappointing. I have healed with a very strange shape near my plastysmaplasty incision, leaving two bulges on either side that are very noticeable. I brought this up to Dr Robinson; he palpated the area briefly, told me it “could be” salivary glands which he doesn’t like removing (I agreed, that seems like a bad idea), but when I continued to show concern about the result he said it “looked great” and seemed really pleased. I just…sat there. I didn’t know what to say as I’m not good at advocating for myself so I just left the office in a hurry and cried in my car. I waited to post this as I was hoping more time would help the shape smooth out, but it hasn’t. I want to bring awareness to anyone else hoping to get this done that the final result may not be what you hoped for.
