“We are about a month into our son's training and the experience has been great. The instructors are professional and stay dedicated to his learning, on and off of the mat. With forms to give to his teachers at school and forms for us to fill out at home, he stays motivated to succeed. If we have concerns or problem areas, we are welcomed to talk with his instructors and they help us by incorporating that into the lesson.

Activities and extra classes are relayed through the app and this makes it easy to stay in the loop on special training days or even events like parents night, etc.

Tools, equipment and ppe is offered for purchase at the studio or through the app so there isn't any need to waste extra time searching for where to buy the tools he needs to progress through his belts.

Overall we are very pleased and can't wait to see where he can be in a few months even weeks time.“

Yes your kids will learn karate skills, they'll learn self defense, they'll learn how to deal with bullies but the character development and leadership that they will learn is what I love so much. “My daughter trained with Coach Hrbek for over a year at the dojo, I would love to say hands down one of the best coaches ever. He is great with kids and his teaching methods are really good, he makes sure kids understand and teaches lots of great techniques. When we relocated to Dallas, we put her in another dojo, but she was invisible among 100 other kids, but at Universal she got her attention and training. Also, she got to train with the national and Olympic level athletes. I miss the dojo and coach Hrbek.“

“I cannot say enough great things about this place!! My daughter was suspended from KIN after being too rambunctious and getting too angry- and I was able to enroll her here the very same afternoon! Although my daughter has only been in their afterschool program for a few days- she LOVES it. They pick up from the school, work with her while teaching her some independence (she is 5 to be fair). And she has an awesome time with a great balance of discipline (teaching her discipline for herself) and recognition. They even sent me a photo on her first day and she didn't want to leave!
