710 W 5th St, Austin“Everyone here is super sweet and nice, and made my boyfriend, our kitty, and me feel very welcome. They explained what they were doing and why, and everything was quick, easy and professional! Our cat was spoiled on the exam table with treats and had a great time. They didn't, however, tell us anything about cost while we were there. I paid the $75 deposit for the exam, and when we showed up they gave our cat a vaccination and gave us a cup for a poop sample to bring back and sent us on our way, no mention of cost. So I just assumed that the $75 was for everything. The next day I got an invoice for $120, and was very alarmed. My boyfriend and I are not the most well off, so I called and asked if I could have a receipt because I didn't know what any of it was for. The nice lady that answered told me that $40 was for the vaccine and $80 was for the poop cup. I said I had no idea and wouldn't have taken the poop cup if I known. Luckily she got it taken care of quick and taken off the bill, but I still found it very strange that I wasn't told any of that during the exam, or told that I had an option.I'll be returning but I'll definitely double check everything next time!“

We called Paz and they were seeing her in office within 30 mins. They got her cleaned up and sewn up within the hour. Such friendly staff, the doctor is very kind and knowledgeable, and the clinic is so cute! We def found ourselves a new vet!!“

He went to vet school at Texas A&M (though I’m a longhorn) which is one of the best vet schools nationwide. Yes, the clinic may not be all fancy but they care for your pets and will not charge you stupid fees. He does amazing work with my 80lb pitbull. If you want good service and care for the best price go to Dr. Hardesty.“
