“We all know that nobody enjoys having to have their eyes checked and having to get glasses or contacts but when the environment is so welcoming it makes sense to say something. TBH, I am not sure why I have not reviewed this location before as we have been coming to the Rivergate Visionworks for many years, thanks (and sadly) due to a bad experience at the Hendersonville location. The customer service at the Rivergate location is always great. We dealt with Misty L today and just her welcoming personality and customer service made this visit with my wife and 3 kids another justification for our continued business.“

“Have had a very positive experience with Look East and Dr. Emily Burgon. They worked with me regarding changing prescriptions as my cataracts progressed. They guided me to have them addressed. The service at Look East is very responsive and good. Will continue to go there for my eye care needs.“

“Glasses took way longer to get back. I had to call and was told “there was a mess up”. No communication. When I picked them up they were wrong. I asked for a refund and the lady stated “ we do not give refunds.” I never received a receipt that stated this. She said “it will be a quick fix. I’ve been waiting in lobby for 50 min.. this is after being here already over an hour. I would have went back to work but she stayed quick fix. I have never had an experience where I couldn’t get a refund. My lenses were 1k. I asked for my old frames to be used. They put new frames on but then wanted me to pay the difference.The lenses were scratched and my like new frames scratched too.Admended- even though I was refused a refund without signing anything - (nothing is posted on office either )New frames and lenses were ordered since mine were scratched in the process of switching the lenses in my like new frames. 2 weeks later and I have glasses that are right. So even tho it’s been a month process and I was not able to get a refund- I have glasses that fit and the frames are correct. Thank you.“

He takes his time explaining every detail of your eye, patient with questions, will go to bat for you if you’re in a time crunch, and is overall the best Optometrist I’ve ever seen (no pun intended). 5/5 stars, easily. With this said the woman who sat down with me to pick out glasses was misleading and she does have the repetition for doing so. I’m sure that she gets paid on what she sales and it shows. “I had a really bad experience at Visionworks near Rivergate, and got my insurance to authorize a second eye exam because of it - after a little poking around, I found this office. Speaking as someone who came to them from a rough experience with a different place, I cannot recommend this group of folks enough.

Doctor Durocher was genial and professional, and I was surprised at how much time and care he spent making sure everything was just right. I found myself chuckling in the exam room after we were done because of just how contrasting the two experiences had been.

And the cherry on top - of COURSE my insurance got sticky about the second exam after telling me it would be authorized, and the gentleman at the front desk, Daniel, let me call him and merge him onto a call with them and he worked things out on my behalf.

Just a tremendously great experience. These guys rock.“
