“Last year we purchased a home on Lake Keowee SC. Frankly we bought the property for the lot/location, not particularly the house which needed a lot of work. We interviewed several potential remodeling companies including Rob Young, owner of Heritage Custom Builders. It was immediately evident to us that Mr. Young had the knowledge and experience necessary to tackle what we considered to be a monumental task (our least favorite part of the house). After speaking with several of Rob’s references we were confident he was not only capable but honest, highly organized, dependable and reliable. These elements weighed heavily on our decision because it would have been impossible to live through the remodel process which was estimated to be 6 months. More concerning was the fact that we live in Utah. A major wall was being removed, a staircase was dismantled and replaced and our wood floor on the main level had structural issues and was tarnished from aging.
We gladly moved out after Rob assured us he would keep us informed every step of the way through his direct communication and his interactive website (photos and descriptions were frequently posted). Our key focal point of the project was the new staircase design which was outsourced to Heirloom Companies (Compobello SC) who create custom hand forged and hand crafted wood and metal works. Our interior design guru Mr. Rob White (inside home Maplewood N.J.) and Rob Young collaborated together to craft awesome design ideas to compliment and tie together the entire project.
We couldn’t be more pleased and overjoyed with our experience with Rob Young and his team. Rob delivered on every one of his promises from start to finish and then some. He and his Heritage team exceeded our expectations and we can’t recommend Rob and Heritage Custom Builders more highly. An additional bonus is we now have a new life long friend in Rob Young.

“I wish our rating system would be ten stars instead of 5, but since it is not, I'm giving Frank F*** and his Southern Building Construction, Inc crew 5 stars X 2. It was hard for me being widowed recently, to make my decisions on replacing the siding on the house. My husband always handled those things. Frank knew exactly what to look for in the colors I was considering, the quality level of the siding to use and even the time it would take to finish the job. The man knows his business and is honest. What I appreciated about him was the fact he didn't push on me the most expensive products. His estimate on the project was very reasonable. I had a lot of damage behind the old siding and every bit of it was repaired, and the whole house was wrapped before the siding was applied. The crew worked efficiently and professionally and were very friendly. I appreciated that they played good music while they worked, and there was no alcohol, smoking nor bad language used while on the property. Made sure they cleaned up after themselves when done.Frank is not only honest, but he is thoughtful. He enjoys doing jobs for the elderly because he sees how often companies take advantage of us. He takes time to talk and discuss our decisions and to make sure we understand every step of the job to be done. He's a patient man who doesn't seem to be bothered with numerous phone calls having to repeat himself or calm the anxiety of this old woman. I plan to have him take care of everything else needing repair around my home. You can count on him to do the job and do it right. I believe he can do anything.“

“Upstate Structural Repair came out this week and helped us with repairing cracks in some of our walls. They installed several jacks under the house and everything looks much better now. The whole team was very nice and professional! Noah had assessed our issues and was very knowledgeable explaining everything to us and what was needed. Christy was wonderful to work wirh through the entire process. She even moved our date up substantially when they had an opening. Jeremy, Michael and Monte performed the work and each were so professional and explained everything so well. Michael even educated me on how the jack worked and all about the process. They are exceptionally professional, timely, respectful, and perform quality installations.When my wife and I built our home we didn’t think about lighting as being a very big concern. I had always known of lightning protection systems but never considered a need for them. However, living on top of a treeless hill surrounded by open pasture in a very storm prone region of the upstate, we quickly realized how vulnerable we were. After a few intense storms, we opted to get lightning rods installed on our home to minimize any possibility for destruction and to gain the piece of mind that our family is infinitely safer even in the harshest storms.It’s very unfortunate that more people aren’t aware of this ancient but time-tested technology. It can really save your home from unnecessary damage and the headache of intrusive and length repairs.The only regret I have is not calling him sooner while we were building so we could expedite the process and get a fully concealed system (the system we have looks great though, and frankly it looks pretty cool knowing the house is protected from millions of volts electricity).FYI: weeks after getting the system installed, we had a major electrical storm rip through our area and the next day I found a tree in the middle of the pasture had been struck and destroyed.
